livvy Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 I use it to keep in touch, but block all apps. Some of those apps are so stupid. (i.e. Farmville.) Quote
̊ ˉˉ ̊ Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 some? how about 98% of all the apps? I've only seen a few that were worth not blocking. Quote
livvy Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Yeah. And so many of them are essentially the same thing. Farmville, Cafe World, Fishville, Madeup World, Randomwordville, etc. etc. Quote
̊ ˉˉ ̊ Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 hahaha, so true. most of the apps on facebook are essentially just re-skinned versions of other pointless apps. Quote
Unstream Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 I never worry about things like honor roll. It doesn't really matter what's on paper, just what you've experienced. Unfortunately that's what colleges look for :\ Some Facebook apps are cool though. I mean, I play this one call MouseHunt (nobody knows about it :P). It's where you catch mice like this: With traps like this:  Quote
̊ ˉˉ ̊ Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 xD that's hilarious! I'm testing it out right now :D Quote
livvy Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Aww, but that poor mouse! It looks so innocent! Quote
̊ ˉˉ ̊ Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Aww, but that poor mouse! It looks so innocent! one of the things you can get in the game: Mouse Trebuchet For those so inclined to not so much harm a mouse, but rather relocate it a few miles away there is the wooden mouse trebuchet. When triggered this trap catapults the mouse at over 500 miles per hour up to a range of 7 miles. there's even an option for you to use :D (although like most facebook games, they have annoying waiting periods) Quote
livvy Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Oh good. Nice of them to think about people like me. :D Quote
Unstream Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 It actually gets quite complicated. There are different types of mice, like Physical, Shadow, Tactical, ect., which require different kinds of traps to catch (i.e. Physical traps are worthless against Tactical mice). Also, certain mice are only attracted by certain kinds of cheese. Like the Master of the Dojo mouse requires Rumble Cheese to attract it. Aww, but that poor mouse! It looks so innocent! Well there's mice like these too: And this is my favorite trap :P Quote
livvy Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Ack! Well, I wouldn't feel quite so bad about killing those mice. o_0 Quote
Revenge Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Yay! I get to wait 16 hours for this download to finish! Isn't the internet amazing?! Editness: Now it's a full day. Loving technology. Quote
̊ ˉˉ ̊ Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 haha, if I may ask? how big is this download you are typing about? Quote
Captain Awesome Pants Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 And to add on to Myle's question, what IS it exactly that you are downloading? Quote
Revenge Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 It's a game, and only about 8 gigs. After hearing about Myles' downloads I feel I really shouldn't complain, but I really wasn't expecting it to take this long. :/ Quote
Captain Awesome Pants Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Permission to inquire... which game is it? (and on a related note, who's the company who made it?) Quote
Revenge Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Dragon Age Origins, from Bioware. I have Steam. ^_^ Why? Quote
̊ ˉˉ ̊ Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 and is the game any good? ah, steam. that thing is awesome  Quote
Revenge Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 I wouldn't know, I haven't played it yet. Still downloading. Quote
-Ryan Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Never heard of it and probably would never download it. Is there a word for fear of Trojans yet? Quote
Revenge Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 You can buy the retail version at stores if you're so concerned. You probably wouldn't like it anyway. Quote
Captain Awesome Pants Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 OOH! I wanted to buy that. But I wasn't sure how it would be. Tell me how it is. Quote
̊ ˉˉ ̊ Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 he's getting it through steam. That's a legitimate service where you purchase online and then legally download games. Quote
Revenge Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Hey, Myles changed the colors in his sig! I love earth tones. Quote
-Ryan Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Yeah, but in my defense! I'm extremely paranoid... And is it an MMO/War/Strategy/RPG/MMORPG? If so then I might like it. Quote
