Question about a HTS item

Hi guys,

First time I post on this forum!

 

So the situation: I have a HTS item for a couple of years now (actually I can't remember since when exactly!), and I'm wondering how to sell it, what price to ask etc, because I have never done that before.

I have read the "Don't know how much something costs?" topic. Guess what, this item is so rare that sometimes it is not even on the trading post. For now I saw someone asking 30M. A second trade is there but there is no price indicated. Right.

So the item could worth a lot. And I am potentially and unexpectedly interested in acquiring a Draik Egg.

If anyone got experience in this, I need advices: do you think it's possible to ask for this? Anything I should know about trying to sell/trade an htc item?

You could try the jellyneo item database located here, and if that person asks 30M, you shouldn't accept just one draik egg, because draik eggs are deflating and around the 6 mil right now, sp that wouldn't be a good deal.

and another thing: what sort of item is it? gourmet? petpet? stamp? morphing potion? BD? why is it HTS? do people NEED and WANT it? How and Where should I advertise? it's very hard to find a buyer, but keep in mind: if it's HTS, you'll never get the full price for it.

I said hard to sell because... I don't know actually I assumed it was hard to sell... It's a food item, rarity "retired". (I didn't give the name because it would be considered as advertising and I suppose it's not allowed..?)

Ho well, I think I will just have to try and see who could be interested.

Bear in mind the price on Jellyneo is from 1 year ago, so it should have increased in value by now. But like Alynniae said, you will never get the full price for an HTS item (if in fact 30mil is the value, they could have plucked that price from anywhere if there were none priced on the TP). But if you want to sell for pure NPs/ETS the price will have to come down more still.

 

You could also mail the sellers asking about their prices (they can assume you're a buyer) and see their lowest price for a more realistic estimate.

 

I really don't think that there is demand for this item, except hardcore collectors. Personally I'd take the draik egg and run but I have no patience for hardcore haggling :P

And... yeah. Thank for the advice, I will try soon when I will have time to keep a regular eye on the TP!
