Tank Girl
So as a few of you know, I have been working on an application for an UC Faerie Shoyru for the past 2 and a half months. The decision is set to be made on the 4th or so, but I logged in today to find that the owner has been frozen. I'm guessing it's because she signed in when she was on holday - but surely in that case it should say her account has been disabled?! When I search for it it says it doesn't exist!! Has anyone been frozen for anything similar before, and how long did it take to get your account back?
Ezazne
I haven't,no. But sorry on not getting it though :sad01_anim:
Lydia Trebond
Does it say "it doesn't exist" when you search or does it say "That account has been frozen!" when you click on the name? If the first, double and triple check your spelling (or click through the name link on any neomails) If the second... good luck. Hopefully it was only a freeze for account protection... Lydia Trebond
That is... odd. I thought frozen accounts still showed up on searches. Maybe I'm wrong. Anyway, I hope it works out all right. UC Faerie Shoyrus are beautiful.
Spritzie
Oh no. :( Have you tried searching the pet itself? That can tell you more about the account. I tried viewing the pet named "Spritzie" and when I tried to view it, it says the owner is frozen. So that might give you more information. Tank Girl
I searched Kaiiat and it says the owner has been frozen, but it says the account doesn't exist - which is why this is so ruddy confusing :(
Xepha
http://www.neopets.com/userlookup.phtml?user= Plug the username that you want to seach at the very end of the userlookup URL and if it says it was "disabled" then it means the account is frozen. Frozen accounts don't show up in regular searches. (Sorry, nothing containing 'Sorry, nothing containing 'ausernamehere' was found. Please try again.' was found. Please try again.) It's possible that the owner decided to self freeze or that their account was compromised. Some people never get back their account... People are speculating on the boards that it might have been due to her adopting out Kaiiat. She's been getting a lot of attention and people are saying maybe someone didn't put a disclaimer on their page or she'd maybe said something in the rules that isn't allowed. Apparently logging in from Spain isn't suspicious enough to get you frozen. I really don't think she self froze at all, she's worked really hard on her account and I spoke to her two days ago :(. I really, really hope she gets it back. I worked SO hard and now it looks as if it was all for nothing :worried:

Kyouma
That sucks. It sucks to see your hard effort get wasted by TNT freezes. Have you had any contact with the owner afterwards?

Tell me about it :( Not yet. I have her on msn, so I'm just waiting for her to come online pretty much :/ I don't even know if she knows she's been frozen yet! fulgaraverde
For what it's worth, I logged in most days when I was on holiday and nothing happened to me. To me it sounds like a protective freezing, maybe she was CG'ed or something? If she was getting a lot of attention for adopting out the pet it's a possibility. It probably was the latter, she had over 3000 hits on her app page o_O. With CGing, do you know how long it takes for TNT to sort it and un-freeze someone? With CGing, do you know how long it takes for TNT to sort it and un-freeze someone? I don't think there's a hard and fast rule, really. Assuming she knows enough account info for TNT to believe she's the rightful owner of the account, anywhere between a few weeks and a few months is a pretty reasonable estimate, based on what I've seen on the PC. If the account's mostly intact - pets still there, items and NP, etc - then probably closer to a few weeks. But my understanding of protective freezings is that it usually takes a while. binkygirl999
How disappointing for you :( Hope she can sort it out and it's just a misunderstanding. If there's any reason they suspect that she was selling the pet though, it will likely be permanent.
