snuffleupagguss Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Does anyone know what kind of algorithm the stock market uses? I am really curious about stats and all that and I figured there is so much information out there on this site that there must be like masses of sharing of information and stuff going on, so someone might have like some kind of database of like stock market values? Or even have tried having a crack at modeling it them self... I dunno maybe its just my love of maths but I have often thought of trying to work out an estimate for how the chances of a stock reaching a particular value decreases with the increase of cutoff. Have other people tried or am I just a massive nerd? Quote
jumpingbeans Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 From what I know, it's completely random. Pure and utter luck. Though it would be neat to learn about it...feel free to go ahead and try to discover what powers it...but I think TNT just makes it so that it go up or down a random number each time. Quote
Powie Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 It's totally random. If you want to see their trends, previous runs, and other information, head over to http://www.neodaq.com :) Quote
