Greetings, Cup fans, we’re here for another day of results! Fortunately, after yesterday’s questionable scoring and tallying, the results are here on time. Referees, captains, and Committee members alike have finalized the rules, and there is no question about the legality of moves, with fouls against goalies fully reinstated and all clocks running at full speed. For the first time since ACV, we know exactly what is going on! So, let’s get to the results!

Straight from the Stadium, we’ve received results for the Altador/Brightvale game. It appears Brightvale has completely swept Altador, taking the Yooyuball match as well as each sidegame. This is a great follow up for the fantastic performance versus Mystery Island. The points earned have put Brightvale in the Top Four, right behind Tyrannia. A great start, hopefully one they’ll continue on!

Apparently, Darigan Citadel’s match versus Faerieland has left them the slightest bit winded. Meridell was able to take both the Yooyuball game and Slushie Slinger from right under the Citadel’s nose. Is this old pre-war prejudice rearing it’s ugly head? Whatever it is, it seems Meridell has come up right behind the Citadel in the rankings. Will they come ahead, or is this the end of their winning streak?

It seems Krawk Island was able to swamp the Lost Desert in everything but Slushie Slinger. This win has put Krawk Island in fourth place, right behind Haunted Woods. It seems KI is doing rough on Slushie Slinger, something that will have to change if they hope on taking first place this year. As for LD; well, out of the top ten, they have a lot of winning to do if they plan on making Top Four by the end of the Cup.

For the results on the much anticipated Kreludor - Virtupets game, we go to on-scene correspondent, Motz. She’ll inform us of the results, as well as a brief summary of the match. Motz?

“Oh, wow, these new headphones work great! Way less static than yesterda- Oh, I’m on? Shoot!

I’m here at the Altador stadium, basking in the riotous draw alongside numerous fans! The highly anticipated rival game ended in sheer excitement, throwing everyone for a curve. What fans thought would end up in a certain victory for their team, ended up in a straight forward draw.

In fact, throughout the course of the game, no goals were scored! This has been practically unheard of, especially in such a competitive match. Throughout it all, the defenses of both teams were tight, not letting a single Yooyu through. Still, the offense was nothing to scoff at, Kreludor Captain Fonnet making spectacular headway. And, yet, by the second half, it appeared Virtupet’s goalkeeper, the Goltron Mk 1, hadn’t even broken a sweat. Even with all of the-

[static] What? Yes, yes, I know he’s a robot. It was a figure of speech!

Regardless, both teams performed very admirably, and even with the draw, all the fans seem to agree it was one of the most intense games they’d seen between the two teams. Perhaps it’s the similar training conditions, both home’s being with little gravity, after all? Who knows! All I can say is that this was an extremely entertaining game of Yooyuball!”

Thank you very much, Motz. And, that’s it for the Kreludor - Virtupets match. According to other reporters at the Stadium, Virtupets did draw ahead in both Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise, while Kreludor dominated Shootout Showdown. Still, an impressive performance from both teams, hopefully something that will carry on in future games.

Terror Mountain continued with their impressive playing, taking Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise from Maraqua. Maraqua came out on top in Shootout, whilst the teams tied in the Yooyuball match. These scores have put Terror Mountain just shy of the Top Four. Hopefully, in their next match, the Lost Desert won’t melt them, and they’ll rise up to fourth place or higher.

Faerieland held its own this match, surprising many pessimistic fans. While they lost both the Yooyuball match and Shootout Showdown, they managed to draw even in Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise, doing a fair bit better than their three for four loss to Darigan Citadel yesterday. However, this still puts them in the Bottom Four, and with a game versus Krawk Island, it doesn’t look good for the team from Faerieland.

Haunted Woods, having taken Moltara for a full sweep yesterday, bested Roo Island in pretty much everything. While drawing for the Yooyuball match, they dominated each of the sidegames, leaving Roo Island in the dust. This puts them in third place, good standing for so early in the cup. Is this their chance to make top bracket since the very first Altador Cup? Loyal Haunted Woods fans surely hope so.

Tyrannia steamrolled Kiko Lake, taking every game. After their wins versus Meridell the day prior, this puts them on top, first place. It’s a high point to fall from, and can fans hope for them to hold on to the spot? As for Kiko Lake, their losses against Tyrannia and Virtupets have put them second to last, just before Moltara. This correspondent doubts they can rise from the ashes, though she hopes to be proven wrong.

And, last but not least, Shenkuu and Moltara drew even in everything but Yooyuball, where the SK team bested the fresh-faced team from Moltara. After their practical failure versus Terror Mountain, this leaves SK out of even the top ten. It’s looking bad for the exotic team, but it could be worse. Even with the draws, Moltara is resting at the very bottom. Will this be a repeat of last year, when Moltara placed dead last? We simply have to wait and see.

Well, that’s it folks! And exciting day of close matches and victorious sweeps. We can eagerly look forward to tomorrow's matches. Will Tyrannia stay on top, or be bested by ambitious Virtupets? Can Terror Mountain hope to gain leeway and make it into the Top Four? We’ll just have to wait and see. Tune in tomorrow for more exciting results!

DC played hard... And Meridell matched us I guess. Good job, MD. I can't wait for the rematch.

And now we got BV. Oh boy, here we go, two rivalry matches in a row...

Btw, i'm calling it now. TY will be in 1st tier. I can even see them winning at this rate.

New YYB seriously favors them.

A high point to fall from? On the second day? Are you saying we are going to fall worst than last year? :sad01_anim:

Son, I am disappoint! :laughingsmiley:

TY for the cup! (and I want to see an interview with Loryche who is on the top ten scorers for the first time!)

I had a feeling that Meridell was asking for revenge yesterday at the AC against us Darigans.

Those Meridellians had a really swift goalie in my opinion.

That's a pretty good point about TY...they rule at side games and New YYB is basically side game controls...uh-oh xD

how can we be sure that tyrannia is really that good at yyb sure they beat meridell but maybe (like shenkuu) merridell underestimated their opponents then (like shenkuu) got clupped from a team much lower than him

we can only be sure on tyrannias sucssess when they beat a team such as krawk island

It's the first two days of the tournament. It's far from painting who's going to be in which tier. After Day 10 we'll know where the teams stand, but not after Day 2, despite some great play by a few underachieving teams.

Remember that last year Maraqua didn't start out too hot ;) Don't think you can count us out of this just yet! -gets game face on-

By my records, LD hasn't lost this badly since...we played Haunted Woods last year. It goes to show that we can hopefully get over it, but with our only wins being side games and playing the almighty sidegame champs TM I really do hope we can get a YYB score up on the board.
