This is probably the most straightforward guide to the gears we have. :)

thats what i was following, i dont understand,don't get what notches are. i really dont think ill be able to continue, this part is too confusing.

You see the little lines along the top of the circle there? Those are notches. :) You can use them to measure how far each jammed gear moves the ceiling.

i still don't get it lol sorry. do i jam it once at a time then?

Yes - basically you want to figure out a gear that will open the right half 4 notches, a gear that will open the right half 5 notches, and a gear that will open the right half 6 notches. So just jam one gear at a time, check if the right half moves 4/5/6 notches, and unjam the gear. When you've found the three gears you need, jam them all at once.

thanks, im drawing the star now, got 5 of the points selected and connected together but it wont let me select the 6th star. i guess ill try and refresh it. i checked the cooridnates and they are right.

It won't let you select the star? You may want to try clearing your web browser's cache if the problem doesn't go away.
