onime_no_kai
So this is kind of random, but I'm curious. Does anyone else have a pet that they just can't keep happy? It's quite strange really...three out of my four pets are always positively ecstatic without particular effort on my part to keep them that way (I think my Shoyru's been constantly "delighted!" for a year straight now); but my Hissi's mood seems to randomly go lower every once in a while. And since he got Boochified a few days ago it's gotten even worse. The weird thing is, it's not like he's been sick or injured or even hungry. There's never any *reason* for it as far as I can tell, apparently he just decides to have a tantrum about once a day. So I'm wondering if it's a "personality" thing similar to why an individual pet doesn't like certain foods or toys; or if it's a general species thing and other people's Hissies (or Baby pets) are prone to it; or if this is a weird thing specific to my pet (lucky me.) Any thoughts?
Foxy!
If you want him to be happy, then just play with him with a bunch of toys.
Eric
A cheaper option is the Roo Island Merry-Go-Round. It's worked well for me in the past. ;)
Anime
Yeah. My Wocky was near sad for a while (I blame th mayor) so I played with her TONS and now she's delighted! again. Now I just play with her when the level drops and she's good.
Guest Christmas Trace (Not Tree)
I have the same problem with my Hissi, when he was Mutant it seemed like once a week he droped in happiness level.
onime_no_kai
If you want him to be happy, then just play with him with a bunch of toys. Lol, thanks. I think maybe I wasn't clear on the point of my question though. I *do* make him happier again by playing with toys. What puzzles me is that nothing has ever occurred that should have made him unhappy in the first place (especially given that my other pets are always fine); so I don't get why his mood keeps going lower for no apparent reason. My question, in other words, is *not* what to do about an unhappy pet. I was just wondering whether or not other people's pets have random tantrums too, in case there's maybe a trend for it in certain species or whatever. Sorry about the confusion. :P I have the same problem with my Hissi, when he was Mutant it seemed like once a week he droped in happiness level. Interesting...maybe it really is a species thing. Anyone else have a perpetually grumpy Hissi? o_O MOD EDIT: Please do not double post. Posts merged.
Eric
Well, no grumpy Hissi for me, but I might add that my 'depressed' pet was a Mutant.
Izzy ♥
My Kougra's like that - her mood always just drops randomly. She's skunk colour though, so I don't know if it has anything to do with that.
Ellie_Penguin
My pets are very understanding. As long as I feed them and take them out for a while, they're happy! Well, on weekends I play a lot with them.
cloudedsunny
I would like to add a question to your question...what is the purpose of having a happy pet? Does it affect anything in the game whatsoever? Other than general cuteness I mean
Eric
Well, any 'depressed' pet has a chance of turning blue in a random event. And that's why you'd want to keep your Plushie pet happy. ;)
Chipmonker
A cheaper option is the Roo Island Merry-Go-Round. It's worked well for me in the past. ;) It's way easier than that 1) Get ANY toy - Like a 1 NP Tombola Keyring 2) Play with the pet - Stop, when you get to this screen 3) Refresh that screen (with F5 or whatnot) until your pet is delighted
buzz
No matter what I do, my ruki is always miserable
kikaown
My pets will never get happier unless I use the merry-go-round. I've tried everything else; that's the only thing that works. My pets will not stay at Delighted! (the highest, i think) but they never go below Joyful unless they get sick. Of course, I've only ever had 1 pet get sick, that that was only 1 time. intelligent02
err yah, i want to ask about a pet turning blue in a randon event when they are sad. I thought they should be turning GREY?
