Deciphering spells

Ok, so by trial and error, for the latest step (Plain of Peace), I think this is how to solve the spell titles.

 

Look at the symbols in the text below.

The symbols that you click should be the ones that are NOT used in the spell below.

Every once in a while, there are 2 non used symbols and 1 symbol that is only used once or twice in the spell.

Actually for me ive compleated enough to know that the puzzle is a "search for the least used" sometimes none are used. you can eyeball it.

I've been using this method, but my spell count isn't going up!

I've done a bunch, and it shows up as 0 spells completed on my main page for me too.

 

One thing I noticed is that the ones I've completed show up as dark grey for me. I'm kind of confused about that since I haven't seen any I've completed show up as light grey, but there's a decent amount of both light and dark grey that I see showing up.

 

Edit: Nevermind that last part I just read this line on the page

 

"Every spell that someone has already checked, I'll mark off with a dark grey background. Every spell that's been precluded because of its index code, I'll mark off with a light grey background."
