RayHumbert
My mum recently started playing Neopets and since she either use my laptop which is newer or she will use the desktop, which share the same ip address, will our accounts get into trouble? I have already gotten a warning from TNT due to spam as I was trying to get the Neomail avatar with my friend. I just wanted to make sure if this is okay or should we notify TNT. Don't wanna risk my almost 9years account. x_x
Spritzie
My husband and I both play Neopets on the same laptop at home and we've never had issues. (And back when we started, my sister and I played at home, came connection, different computers.)
Kuroida
my sister and I play with the same IP address and haven't had a problem....
bears54fan
My daughter and i play, same situation, we have a laptop and pc, and we switch back and forth on what we play. I have never had any problems. I have always wondered if it really helps when people put up a note on their petpage or lookup letting tnt know that there are multiple account holders using a pc. Kuroida
Well I don't have any sort of notice. I don't think TNT checks to be honest. Don't they have better things to do? :P
Rae
I've seen people with messages saying similar things on their profiles. But to be completely honest, TNT doesn't really care. You clearly don't switch on and off and on and off between your account and your mother, and don't switch all of the neopoints and stuff. That's usualy what gets someone frozen. They understand that people have families that might also play. I'm half alseep and I see little red squiggly lines but I'm too tired to go and fix them right now. Lamppost
I have always wondered if it really helps when people put up a note on their petpage or lookup letting tnt know that there are multiple account holders using a pc. It doesn't help. Cheaters can write that just as easily, and TNT knows that, so it does absolutely no good. TNT confirmed this in an editorial: http://www.neopets.com/ntimes/index.phtml?section=editorial&issue=270 I often see on user lookups people write notes such as: "TNT: I share this computer..." or whatever. I was wondering if writing this makes a difference, or is even required if you share a computer, or sign on other computers? ~painfully_yoursNope. We keep telling everyone that it's utterly pointless and it doesn't affect anything at all, but no one listens so we'll say it again. :) Anyone can type something on their UL, and we have no idea whether it's true or not. (Really, would someone who was breaking the rules using multiple accounts to earn Neopoints just admit it?) We must rely on the evidence we have to make our decisions. Use the space this text would take up for beautifying your lookup instead! Here's another editorial that sort of addresses it: http://www.neopets.com/ntimes/index.phtml?section=editorial&week=246 And another TDN discussion about it here: http://www.tdnforums.com/index.php?/topic/17990-multiple-accounts-one-computer/ Hope that helps! Rae
Exactly what Lamppost said. I thought I had read an editorial but I wasn't sure/couldn't find it.
