I remember a few years ago the pound was full of green uni's. How and why did this happen, I forgot?

It's the MP. You get the avatar for using a MP. And Green Uni MPs are the cheapest, since they were a prize from the Game Master Challenge.

Then, you create a board, inviting people to watch you GUMP it, especially the opposition. Then, when you are satisfied with the amount of people paying attention, you disrespect their team by GUMPing that pet. Most of the resulting pets ended up in the pound.

Really? How silly and wasteful of then. I got an MP from the WoE so I didn't need get a Green Uni. And I used it on my Lab Rat so I won't be wasteful ;)

Really? That's terribly cruel. Not to the people, to the pets. I mean, I know they're just pixels, but that's still really cruel. Also incredibly wasteful. Painting a pet just to make it incredibly common?

I don't get it. What's the point? Just a cry for attention? And what does it have to do with the Altador Cup? Or does AC stand for Avatar Chat, in which case what does playing against Darigan Citadel in your example have to do with anything?

It was during the Altador Cup. It was a way to taunt the other team, and you would see many threads a day. It was more of a shame whenever you saw someone GUMP something really expensive, like a pirate pet.

 

Pointless taunting method. That's basically what GUMPing was. It wouldn't have gotten as much popularity if the taunting didn't actually work. Lots of people got mad about this.

I have seen that. It was really sad. At the time I didnt know what it was for, but now I realize how stupid it was. One person GUMPed a UC.

People would be lost at what to do if they were playing Kiko Lake or Roo Island. XD A change of species isn't a big deal :P

Oh wow that was really wasteful, and coincidence or not, that's when the pound shut down for maintenence. There still is a massive amount of green unis in the pound, so I guess they still exist.

 

I just checked the guilds and they made a new one of it called Green Uni Project: Reformed. Over 100 members! It should be banned though.

Yeah, there are a bunch. On the Neoboards, people post how they adopt a pet, morph it into a Green Uni, and then pound it again, just to be mean. They know that once the pet is GUMPed, no one will adopt it.

It got zapped gray :D I put it back in the pound afterwards. Yay for the avatar :P

Just to spite them i'm adopting green unis now and zapping them ha ha, a lot of them are really good stats so once painted would be a great pet.

That's a good idea. Maybe I'll do that, too! Once I have all of my pet avatars, though, so I still have room to borrow.
