Adults vs. Children

Well if all fails, someone in the virtual world could be able to make their own site through practice and it can be for adults/older teens that are in college or just love to be online and it can sort of be online based. I mean if Neopets did that once, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a future site out there that did the same thing. ^^

But Neopets is home. It wouldn't be the same without them. xD

i think the most reasonable idea would be to give the older players a separate site like petpet park. it seems the easiest and would not lose users that way, although i cant think of a good way to keep younger players out of it.

Well you don't necessarily need a whole new site. Just a new board restricted to people over the age of 18. If kids wander in there, how bad for them. They shouldn't be lying about their age. But I'm sure there are plenty of users under 13 already lying about their age so they can use the boards (I did it back when I was 11 - I registered as a 13-year-old so I could use the boards). I'm 19 now. And I never get warnings for anything, except for discussion of mature topics (most of the time, they're barely mature, and I never make mature boards, simply respond to them). But Neopets already has secret boards for special users (like the Premium Boards). I don't really see how making one specifically for adults would be that hard.

I don't think we need a separate site. I just think TNT/whoever need to grow up a little and stop acting like kids are stupid/need major protection. Neopets' filters are like something you'd find on a Sesame Street site. Even Nickelodeon (also owned by Viacom obviously) allows certain subjects that Neopets doesn't. I mean, TNT should give it's users a tad more credit than they do. I don't see why users can't write stories and such for the NT that involve a bit of romance or a struggle of some kind. Clearly we don't need kids/adults writing gore scenes and softcore but I'm pretty sure if they print the rules big enough, people will understand and follow them. I personally think the community has improved a teeny bit since they added the post wait too. I rarely see inappropriate (vulgar/gross) spamming or comments anymore. Part of the problem is TNT's inability to enforce the right chat rules. I can't count how many times I've seen people doing bad things and yet TNT would rather send an alert to the users that claim mods don't do anything.
