BB1 Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Hey, I was wondering, how do you find out the cheat codes? Do you just, like, type in stuff related to the game, or do you do high-tech XML research? Don't worry, I won't report it to TNT. Quote
ΩCCΩ Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Don't worry, these codes are legal :D. I think that it is more like trial and error than high-tech software :). Quote
idriya Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Also, the Wheel of Knowledge gives out a few codes, but nowhere near all of them. Quote
Divya Bean Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Yeah, I always wondered how people find the codes out. I never could! I wish there was a cheat for keyquest, that would be cool. Quote
Nyssa Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Nah, if there was a Key Quest cheat that wouldn't really be fair imo. It's a multiplayer game so it'd be kind of lame ;p. And I always wondered that as well! So, TND, how DO you get all those cheats? :P Quote
Divya Bean Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 For KQ, I meant 1 cheat where you can only use it once per game. Something like automatically gain a powerup or roll six on the die kind of thing. Quote
Holliepop Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 A long long time ago, when neopets had a magazine (do they still do their magazine?) They used to provide a small list of cheat codes each issue. I was so excited as a child cause I could earn NPs easier xD Quote
azarel Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Google. :) It turns up the legit "cheat" codes for most, if not all, flash games. Quote
Xepha Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Usually... stalking the Neoboards when we write a guide for a new game. Or existing petpages listing codes... I've never found any codes myself. Quote
lovedwallflower Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 this image came into my head of a guy sitting on the pc with a dictionary writing all the words until he discovered that one was a cheat code hahaha Quote
BB1 Posted January 31, 2010 Author Posted January 31, 2010 I'm not sure, I would agree with most of you: trial and error. For example, in Dice Escape: a cheatcode is "moretimeruki." Maybe most of the cheat codes have something to do with the game itself. Quote
idriya Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Not really. For example, the code for The Buzzer Game is "cheese". It's like. . . where did that come from? o_O Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 The cheats won't be reported. Most of theme were made by TNT themselves (look at the Wheel of Knowlage). Quote
imxsorryxixam Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Well thats what the power ups are for. in replace of cheat codes. ;) Quote
