Maryyam
i've seen (ok, more like read) many people complaining about how there are always flash and ads across the neopets pages. A simple way to avoid it is to download mozilla firefox, and for those who already have it many probably know about what i am going to be writing about. Once u have downloaded firefox, u can add 'add-ons' (Tools>Add-on's) A new window will open, click on 'Get Add-on's' and at the bottom there will be a button that says 'Browse all add-ons, click it once a new page opens in firefox, type in 'flashblock' in the search box and click "add to firefox" to the one corresponding to what u searched for (should be a letter 'f' with a restriction sigh over it) now after u have downloaded this, type "adblock plus" in the search bar again, and "add to firefox" the one that looks like a stop sign with the letters ABP written in the middle, afterwords restart firefox and these add-ons should come into effect and u will never be bother with flash and adds again WARNING By downloading flashblock, u will also inturn block youtube videos, in order to watch them, all u have to do is click on the video and it will enable the video to start as it normally does, this also applies to any other videos streamed on the web, so don't get scared, if u want to watch a video, u will be able to, all u have to do is, click on it
Xanza
An easier way would be installing Greasemonkey on Firefox and installing this script : Neopets AdsRemover 1.2 Neopets Ads Remover will remove every advertisement box from every page, except for games. It will also delete the white space that would be left by the deleted box.
Viridian
Just Adblock plus works perfectly fine for me actually.
antiaircraft
It's kind of amusing how many people don't realise that TDN already has ad blocking guides in place for Firefox, Internet Explorer and Opera. :P
Cassie
I went to /~beadfree the petpage has a guide for every browser and whatnot. I don't have the nick bar or any adverts.

Shane for Wax
@jillian: It depends on your version of Firefox. I have the latest public release version (3.5.3) and have no such problems. I also use ABP (Ad-Block Pro). On Neopets there's a black line that says advertisement where there are supposed to be ads, but I don't actually see the ads themselves. No blank box as was mentioned. Just that strip. I'm fine with that to be honest, it doesn't bother me.

Maryyam
ahh i always use firefox EXCEPT for neopets! you know how on the top of the page it has that bar that says "neopets petpet park...etc"? when i use firefox on neopets it stacks on top of each other so theres like a 3 inch addition to the page length and it REALLY bothers me! will this fix it?? i am not sure but its worth a try, if you don't like how it turns out, you can always disable the add-ons, so no harm done
