*pants* TNT sent me a neomail warning saying that I shouldn't have talked about religious stuff. Someone else started the topic.. and *sigh* Anyway, I blame myself, I forgot ALL about the 'no religion' rule.

 

And NO this is not a 'feel sorry for me' topic.

Yeah never talk about religion with other people nobody will ever win. Even if you are completely right they will not believe you or care what you say. I'd go on more but I'm sure i'd get myself in trouble.

 

It is something neopets will never tolerate because nothing good can come of it ever.

ya my co-worker made the mistake of talking about religion at work, and according to 2 very very religious (born-again christian ppl) she is now going to h e double hockey sticks! :P lol

 

anyways is there such a rule here on TDN? I dont remember reading about that, but maybe I missed it.

 

Typically though in day-to-day life I try and avoid the following topics 1)money, 2) religion and 3)politics! :P

Yeah, at least it is only a warning! Could you imagion though, it wouldn't just be neochurch. It'd be neochurch and neomosque, and in the next plot they would wage a 1000 year war on each other (which we would have to fight) and the plot to be solved to finish the war would be a cirlce of "They started it" "Well they invaded us first"... Then it would end on them both realising that both are peaceful religions and shaking hands.

 

I don't think talking about religion is always wrong anyway, what if one person just wanted to ask a question, like for a school assisment or something?

 

(P.S. You do realise people with OCD aren't nit-picking... they acutally have a medical problem which causes their brains to confuse low and high priorty messages - so they understand their obcession is as important as breathing. It's amazing what you learn when you have a problem :D)

I think it's stupid to ban talk about religion. It's perfectly understandable that there is no religion on Neopets, as in the Neopets and Neopia has no religion, but outlawing even TALKING about it? I hate to sound like a retard but freedom of speech lulz? Whatever happened to that? Freedom of religion? I'm not telling Neopets to OMG HAVE RELIGION I'm just saying they shouldn't ban people for talking about it. If they're going to do that, they should either ban for ALL controversial topics, or none.

Good point... I guess if they let some people talk about religion then it would be ok for some people to share their views on religion, and it'll just spirial from there... Is there a ban on talking about it here?

Religion+Politics= the most potent and vicious clawing and barking on the Internets. Even if you present something, no matter how small or incongruous, there is BOUND to be someone starting a flame war. Neopets is pretty right on this count. Flame wars happen occasionally on the boards, lets not aggravate it XD
