Worlds tallest midget Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 It's kinda lame but my history teacher told us a couple of days ago... Ghoti When using the 'Gh' from Rough The 'o' from women And the 'ti' from Station... Shows you how stuffed up the english language is.. And explains why foreigners struggle to learn it Quote
Myriad Posted June 24, 2007 Author Posted June 24, 2007 Yeah, I know! English is supposed to be one of the hardest languages to learn. What is unusual about this following long sentence? Dennis, Nell, Edna, Leon, Nedra, Anita, Rolf, Nora, Alice, Carol, Leo, Jane, Reed, Dena, Dale, Basil, Rae, Penny, Lana, Dave, Denny, Lena, Ida, Bernadette, Ben, Ray, Lila, Nina, Jo, Ira, Mara, Sara, Mario, Jan, Ina, Lily, Arne, Bette, Dan, Reba, Diane, Lynn, Ed, Eva, Dana, Lynne, Pearl, Isabel, Ada, Ned, Dee, Rena, Joel, Lora, Cecil, Aaron, Flora, Tina, Arden, Noel and Ellen sinned. Quote
Eric Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 The sentence is palindromic, with the "s" of "Sara" being the non-repetitive centre. Quote
ishamaria Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 I know. i, a and n are all in the first note.So by translating the code into the alphabet, Marcy's dad knew that ~ is I, * is A and = is N. How does ~ mean I * mean a and = mean n? Quote
Myriad Posted June 26, 2007 Author Posted June 26, 2007 Pfft. Don't even ask. People are so cr-azy these days. :P As she is going on a walk with her four children, a mother happens to startle Loki, god of mischief. Loki tries to morph her into a nose, but fails. Apparently the woman, and her children, also have the morphing powers and can not be affected by them. They trap Loki and give him a choice. He can either leave everybody alone unless he wants to become a tiny little crumb forever, or he can be burned. Why did he choose the latter? Quote
Boomer Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 He is immortal so he will feel the pain but not die? Quote
