Dillon
I am gonna answer with the MOON.
Myriad
Yeah, it was the moon. -.- This one is a smart-peoples one!! HAHAHHA. Sunday had finally come for Detective Kelvin Wallace. It was the day of the auction. He was an avid collector of antique items. He was looking for something from the collection of a King, especially Louis XIV, as he did not have any of his items. Finally, the collection of King Louis XIV came up for auction. The first item was a bathing towel which was supposedly used every day by King Louis XIV. Everyone was eager to get his hands on the old torn piece of cloth, but Detective Wallace knew that it was a fake piece and decided to leave the auction hall immediately. How did he know that the towel was fake?
Ellie_Penguin
okay that one is hard
Myriad
Yeah, it is. :) I know about the king who had 6 wifes!!
Ellie_Penguin
oh okay i got it. He knew the towel was fake because King Louis XIV only bathed 3 times in his lifetime. So he couldn't have used it everyday.
Izzy ♥
Yikes, you actually had to know something about old kings for that one =knowsnothingaboutanykings=
Ellie_Penguin
i just researched about that king LOL
Justin
I think that's the way to do that Flute one, isn't it? Just google the 3 names and you'll get a big page full of the word "flute". Can you give us some non-researchables? That'd be more exciting.
Dillon
it was a fake because the king probably used a different towel every time he bathed. Which was like once a year.
kikaown
Why did he leave the auction hall? even if it was a fake, he may have missed out on something that was real.
Izzy ♥
He probably thought that if the towel was fake then all the other stuff would be too.
Myriad
Oh yeah. o_O Anyways, congrats, Ellie! Joey and Carl were sitting down since they had nothing to do. Carl told Joey that he could make a magnificent jump. Carl then set up three chairs. When Joey saw that Carl had set the chairs up, Joey told Carl that he couldn't do it. Carl then said, "Let me take off my shoes before I jump over them". Before Carl jumped, Joey made a bet that Carl couldn't make the magnificent jump. Carl did not make it over the chairs, but still won the bet. Why?
Ellie_Penguin
I love riddles like that. Well he said he was going to take off his shoes before jumping over them, which meant his shoes right. So that was the magnificent jump XD.
Dillon
What did you you say Peguin????
Ellie_Penguin
"Let me take off my shoes before I jump over them" He said that right? Okay well when he said jump over them he meant the shoes, not the chairs. Therefore the "magnificent" jump was jumping over the shoes, not the chairs. Myriad
Damn! Okay, i'll look for a hard one. **four hours later** There are seven parts to this riddle, Each is part of a greater whole. You see most of these, Everyday as you please: First is what I did to a book yesterday, Second mixes with apples. Third is a shout, then "ouch" you say, Fourth shares the sound of mean. Fifth is what the wind had done, The sixth is often skipped. The last and final can be called by two names, If roses are this, then which is the blue one?
