zodiac_ram
I just wanted to display some work that I have done in the past. I'm wondering if I should attempt to do something new and even possibly enter the beauty contest. This was my first picture attempt. It got me a gold trophy years ago in the neopets picture competition. As you can see it was done before the pets had been remodeled. The stripped shoyru's color is much different now. I had actually drawn and colored it. However when I scanned it in it didn't look very good so I traced and recolored it in photoshop. Thats where the texture comes in. I DID NOT DRAW THIS. Just putting that out up front. However I did create this image for my guild by using neopet images. I used photoshop. It took a lot of work and I think it turned out well. Finally, this is not a neopets picture, but a TwinSkies pictures. Its another game site created by the original neopets creators. I added it to show my most recent work, which was done about a year ago. However it was not good enough to be picked for their picture competition. I had fun with it and think its cute. celticheavens
Not bad! I especially like the last one :) Do give BC a shot; I think you'll do fine ^^ Good to know that you've toggled with different options of pshop (ie: textures) to add a twist to your pictures. Keep experimenting and perhaps you can make your works even better! p/s: Love the nimmo doll in the first picture. ;)
zodiac_ram
Thank you. I would love to learn how to use the other painting systems and expand my abilities. I learned photoshop back in high school and taught myself a few things along the way.
̊ ˉˉ ̊
Hey, great job on the first one, I'm very impressed at how good it looks.
FutureTXTurkey
This first picture is by far your best, so whatever tools and methods you used to create that one, I'd stick with them. It's the details in the first one that really set it apart, like the doll and the texture, the last one is an equally good drawing, but it doesn't have as much detail as the first one, and so it end up looking technically very good, but visually a little dull. They are all really good though, much better than most people, and you should for sure give the BC a shot. I know I'd support you.

zodiac_ram
Thank you for all of the compliments and honest input. As for the first picture, the texture was created by colored pencils. I had completed the picture on paper and scanned it in. It turned out very dull and choppy. Even when I darkend everything, it was still very dull. So I decided to attempt to color it in with photoshop. It took me a very long time to trace everything. I'm sure I might be able to atleast recreate the effect without actually coloring in a new picture first.
