Michael!
Anyone else not a huge fan of it? 2003 was much more basic, I had to relearn how to use Word.
Sapphy the Swamp Witch
I kind of hated it at first, too, when I used it at school. But use some tutorials and get used to it - once you do, it's much easier and faster than the old Word. :)
antiaircraft
I have to agree with Sapphy here - once you learn your way around, Microsoft Office 2007 is a lot more intuitive, efficient, and downright fun to work with than previous versions. Personally, I think the problem with Microsoft products is that they often box you into a very specific, sometimes illogical workflow (e.g. turning off your computer by going to a menu marked Start). Instead of figuring out how to do something because things are laid out semantically (in a way that makes sense), we end up learning to do this then this then this. As a result, when something changes (whether for the better or the worse) it confuses us. Uh... yeah. :P Anyway, I quite like the Office 2007 UI. Lion
I must agree with the 2 people above me here, I have used the trial of it and a full version at school: I was a little confuzzled at first, but then I got used to it and I find it better than 2003. Following up on what AA said, Microsoft seem to have a habit of making us do this and then that and that... Linux is more simple, if you get used to it. xD

stephie23
When I first got it I hated it!! But now that I've had it for a while I'm beginning to like it! :) ... I think we just get comfortable using old software that we're familiar with .. but without change we never progress... could you imagine if we were still using DOS because people were afraid to re-educate themselves on windows! :P This topic has been edited by a member of staff (Stephanie*) because of a violation of the forum rules.
