Hugo
They say somebody is going to go around, hoarding items, until there is barely anything left. Of course, that guy is probably extremly rich, so BEWARE! He will also probably be a person who will spend easily. Or, I could be a lunatic. Mimii
Well this is against TNT rules so whoever this person is will most likely just get frozen. ;)
FutureTXTurkey
Well although I agree it is against the rules, and that it totally should be against the rules... I was wondering how TNT enforces rules like that? It's bizarre to me how they track some of this stuff. I'm not trying to disagree or be argumentative, Mimi is totally right, I'm just genuinely curious...
lazycrazykitten
Hm....If that is true I wonder what types of items this person is hoarding. Is it clothing, food, neggs, rare items, what?
Lion
As TWO people before me have said, it's aganist the rules to do that. BUT, you need proof that he is doing this, it would make TNT's life easier, as if it wasn't already hard enough, looking out for 2mil + people. -_-
Stephé
Uh guys, did you realise that the guy this poster was talking about was themselves? *pokes the topic poster's neopets username* -_- If you're serious about this, be careful. You could get into serious trouble.
Deepti M.
How do you know? As mentioned before, this is against neopet rules. And if you are the one doing this, some lurkers on this board (i'm on to you! xD) could report you. *shifty eyes at the idea of being watched*
SarafinaWolf7
Yeah, if it's you, then I advise you not to do it. Getting frozen by TNT is never good.
Anime
Actually, WHY he's doing it comes into play. If he's collecting for a legit reason, like wanting a ton of them in a gallery, or making a jelly collection, that's fine. However (and I think this is more what they're doing) if they are buying them just to inflate the price, TNT will come after you with their freeze ray. TNT logs everything that happens in Neopia, right down to what pages you view. With iffy things, they can review all your board posts, your purchases, your game plays... And well, it's kinda obvious if they're buying jelly or if they're buying Meepits, ya know?
Antjie
some years ago i was buying up all of a certain TCG card to inflate the price ofc, cant rememmber who it was anymore, but i got a nice warning to stop doing so, the message totally confused me as i told no one, did not buy from the mailer and it wasnt an official Neopet mail as far as i can remember, ofc i stopped right away lol
hrtbrk
I guess they're trying. Someone bought all of the Toy Altadorian Swords from the SW (600nps?) and are now selling them for 60,000-1million? Apparently they got frozen already? I can't SW cuz I'm on a quest heh
naalaro
These persons are trying to dredge out an old ghost. From what i recall, you could actually do something like this before, and it was more widerspread-then you had an entire gang of people buying over certain items and monopolising them, pretty much like the oil cartels we have in the real world. Its real elegant, and shows just how you could apply some real world economics into the game. But of course, TNT couldnt have that could they. *wished they had used counter economic policies against it instead of outright making it illegal
