Bleh, scammed

I logged into my account this morning, and what do I see?

Someone must have gotten into it, because about 600k was missing from the bank account, and items worth a few 100k were also gone. :crying:

I definitely haven't given anyone my password, and I haven't followed any off-site links, nor have I tried to install any bots or anything, so how they managed to break into the account remains something of a mystery.

 

EDIT:The title should read "Bleh", not "Behl"

 

After a quick look around, it seems like whoever it was also took my snowbunny, which was some 200 days. That is actually worse than the rest, because now I'll have to wait another year for it, instead of getting it this autumn.

Aww man, that sucks! :( I've had that happen before as well. I got so mad that I quit for a year. Good luck on getting that back!

I lost an Underwater Map piece worth 600-800k as well, I noticed when I looked around. This will take a while to regain, as I'm not very good at restocking. The only good thing is that I collect stamps, so that most of my achievements were impossible to remove and sell.

That's a real pity :(. If you really hadn't done anything that would've gotten you scammed, your account might have been hacked.

 

On the (slightly) bright side, you can always borrow the pet for the Snowbunny avatar from ALP. Just stay around and chat with us a bit more, so you'll be approved for lending in not too long.

Aw gee. That's kind of sad. I don't even have that much money. Try to set a bank pin for your SDB and all other stuff, which is more safe.

Misery loves company...If there's any consolation,i personally have had my previous accounts hacked, altough i admit pets could not be stolen then...the release of transfers have made that a big reality. I would rather the hacker take all my materialistic wealth rather than my pet. I would probably be devastated.

 

If you need to make some money, put some items in your shop, maybe i'll buy some stuff.

I'm sorry, that's horrible news. I had my original account taken a long time ago as well. They changed my password too and I was never able to get back into it. After about a week of trying to get it back the person who was using it did something bad and the account was frozen.
