Events in my inbox!

Ok, so over the last several years, there have been a couple of times (not many) when a neofriend will send me an item of some sort. It shows up just like an inbox message in the top left corner of my neopets site. I click on the gift box, and the event disappears and nothing is in my inventory! How the heck am I supposed to access these events where people send each other stuff? What are the proper steps taken in order to receive my gift? I can't figure it out.

The only way I ever know to get there is to click the picture on the event list, not the text link. It takes you there. XP

Is the Item Event Log the same thing?

It's where you access your inventory. When you're on that page, just go CTRL F and put in Item Event Log. It will highlight it so you can see it lol.
