Georgia
volunteering for child cancer. I've been walking around three local malls selling the bracelets. I made over $2500 today! Helping others really does make yourself feel great ^_^ What has everyone been up to today?
Omnalu
Well, yesterday (since it's 5:49 am right now) I volunteered at my local humane society. With the economy going downhill, donations have pretty much stopped coming in and they're facing the bleak possibility they may have to close. We're working on spreading the word about the help the shelter needs, and we're working on fundraisers that will reach a large amount of people in a short amount of time. It costs about $4,000 a month to keep running, and we'll only make it to May on what we've got left. So we're putting up tons of fliers everywhere, and donations are starting to trickle in, but the fundraisers are going to have to bring in quite a bit to keep us afloat... cahgirl87
What kind of bracelets were they? I would love to help out...although I'm not sure I have the money right now :( When I get a job (which hopefully will be soon) I'd definately be willing to contribute. Hmmm, I just realized you live in New Zealand, I wonder if they are doing the same thing in the states. I wore my hissi cancer bracelet every day until it broke...Wish I still had that, it was my favorite piece of jewelry and actually helped me meet new people that inquired about it. Anyways, I think it's great that you are helping out like that...and that goes for you as well Omnalu. The world needs more people like you guys! :)

Aw it is great you yare helping out! Hopefully more people will start donating soon, I'm glad people love helping for a good cause ^_^ What kind of bracelets were they? Children get given cancer beads each time they have an operation, a round of chemo, etc. The bracelets are so colourful and pretty ^_^ Aw no, yeah i love my bracelet! I would hate for it to break! Thanks, yeah I hope more people start helping out with organisations! This post has been edited by a member of staff (Crusher) because of a violation of the forum rules.
