when i use the purple sticky hand and actually get an item, is it permanent or just for that battle?

It's just for that battle. All weapons stolen return to the opponent at the end of the battle. And you get your sticky hand back :P

watch out when using sticky hands in 2 player bd, because I think that your opponent recieves the sticky hand (for the battle) when you get the item.
