M!!
Heya everyone :) I just got the ITTPD avatar the other day - didn't even notice it until now :P - and would like to share the items I used to get it. Basically, I overstuffed my inventory with 166 sand snowballs, which have an estimated price of 40,000, and refreshed a bunch. I'm going to set up trade with ALL these snowballs, so if you'd like them, please let me know here. I don't want collateral or anything, but I would like to get a majority of them back so I can sell some.
Khepera
I don't have the avvie, so I'd very much like to borrow your items if possible :)
FutureTXTurkey
I can't believe that worked? o_O I thought your items had to be much more valuable than that. *shrugs* but if it works it works. I too would be interested in borrowing.
amitybelle
That really worked? Wow! A cheap method indeed. But, *paranoia alert*, I hear TNT freeze you if you have over 50 items after a while. Is that really over a while or can you get frozen for having 50+ within a day? I really want the avatar, but with my luck, don't want to risk an actual expensive item. Yes, I know, calm down. But I am paranoid :P. ChaoticFission
how is this any cheaper than getting 100 geraptiku talismans? the talismans are actually cheaper according to the SW. plus, if memory serves, the talismans have an EST value of 50k+, while the snowballs only pack 40k in value. livvy
Don't worry Madison. As long as you don't keep stuffing and stuffing more items in so that it causes a problem, TNT doesn't really care if you go over 50 for a bit. You're safe. =] I had no idea sand snowballs had such a high est. value. I keep getting them from scratchcards...

Just another cheap way. In my experience snowballs tend to sell faster than those talismans so I might go for the snowballs. Heh, I could keep them and start a collection. I'd love to have 1,000 of just one item.
ChaoticFission
hmmmm idk, i sold my talismans pretty quickly... and for a small profit no less. i bought them at 150-200 and sold all of them for 200.
Khepera
I decided to get the avatar myself, but thanks anyway! I went for the talismans. You actually only need 5 000 000 / 54 200 = 93.

I too would be interested in borrowing. I've got someone borrowing them now, but as soon as she is done I'll let you know. It's quite a lot to put into trades, seeing as you can only put up ten items at a time. The snowball method was pretty easy, I got all the ones I needed in about a week and a half, refreshed a bunch, and voila. The biggest pain was switching in and out my SDB, though. I hadn't even thought of the talisman method. Are they really cheaper? I figure snowballs are much easier. They're cheap, you find them all over, etc... I bought 93 talismans for about 250 NP each. That makes the cost around 23 000 NP. That's not exactly a lot of NP, and you get it back when selling the talismans again. The trouble isn't the cost. It's the boredom of it all. Handling all these items take some time. Then again, it's not exactly SDB Pack Rat :P I figured I had to do the boring part anyway, so I just went out and bought the items :) Hadn't gotten the avatar before, since I thought it was much more expensive. (I only have around 175k NP for the moment.)

They're about 100-200nps each, and are always floating around in trades, under the freebie tree, or on scratchcards. Plus, I posted a topic on the boards asking for sand snowball donations and got about fifty in a day.
ChaoticFission
nice. why didn't i think of that lol. donations. yea, i don't use the board that much... that's where TNT gets trigger happy.
amitybelle
I remember selling all those items after I got the Pack Rat avatar. Which is why I might not bother and just keep the stupid things :P. Actually, it's probably not that bad. It's only 'one' item so you don't have to look up prices for every individual item. I decided to go with Talismans. I have about 30 so far.
Khepera
I have some talismans in my shop by the way! ^_^

wrestling3fan
I went to my sdb after i got 95 of them and I keep refreshing, But it doesn't show up. Masaryk
I used 70 GGTs for mine, plus some other high estimated value items (rewards from Brain Tree quests) that I already had in my SDB. If anyone is interested, I'd be happy to set up a trade for the talismans.
Khepera
I went to my sdb after i got 95 of them and I keep refreshing, But it doesn't show up. Well, you have to have them in your inventory, and refresh from there :)
kss15
Thanks for the tips! I just got that avatar! But I did hear that you can get frozen from overstuffing your inventory and you should keep those items in your inventory for no more than 15 minutes
wrestling3fan
Well, you have to have them in your inventory, and refresh from there :) How can I do that. I can only have 50 things in there at one time and I have 95 talsimans.
Omnalu
As long as you don't keep them in your inventory for long, TNT doesn't have a problem with it. And since the items are coming from your SDB, you won't get the 'you can only have 50 items at a time' message ~_^
