Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 It is amazing to think of the outstanding possibilities. But I want to hear from you guys. But please keep in mind, faster than light travel is impossible.
The Original Luna Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 Probably reverted back to what it was like before man was around (as we'll have colonized other planets).

Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 Why would we leave our home planet? I believe Earth will have several enormous towers that shoot up from the planet's surface to space. There would be no more rockets. All spacecraft will be made in space and dock with the towers. The satillites would have been cleaned up and the towers will be fitted with sensors to replace the satillites.
The Original Luna Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 To get new metals, ores and eventually explore new horizons. Even though I hate the thought of actually going into space...
Ellie_Penguin Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 Maybe Earth won't exist by then. But I think that we will go back the past, and we may have an Ice age. Technology will increase that's for sure and we may be able to travel to other planets in a couple of hours.

Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 That would not be possible because you can't break the speed of light.
Eric Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Maybe humans would've evolved somehow? I mean, we evolve to adapt - why not evolve to phase out poisons?

Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Evolve to become resistant to poisons That would be the best evolutioanary trait in Human existance, besides being bipedal.
Afridelle Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 There's a book out from Science Fiction Book Club called One Million AD, that has authors exploring what the Earth and mankind will be like in a million years. Its really a good read, and kind of interesting to see where people's minds went, and how the human race got where the author's envisioned them.

Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Hmm, i've never heard of that before. I'll have to check it out sometime
Matt Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 I'll think we'll be lucky to reach the year 3006, at the rate we're going. Global Warming will be the crisis of the world, for sure. Sea levels will rise, hopefully flooding most parts of Peterborough (Heh. Football rivalry. How fun...) as predicted. Everywhere will be come a desert wasteland from cutting down trees. Then again, I could just hope for hoverboards and mutant cows! :laughingsmiley:

 Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 How about Beefalo? A cow-buffallo hybrid.
The Original Luna Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 How about Wallaroos? Kangaroo/wallaby cross. As for me, i'll probably be remembered as one of the old-world authors.
Ellie_Penguin Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Yea, I really doubt the human race will survive another 1,000 years <_<
Mira Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Yea, I really doubt the human race will survive another 1,000 years <_< i totally agree with you
dailyneogirl_ Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 There was a hole in the ozone layer caused by pollution of engines, factories, ect, ect. If we dont take care of our environment, the hole is going to be bigger, and the world's chance of ending will be increasing. x[
Ellie_Penguin Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 I've read that the ozone layer is closing again...
The Original Luna Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 Then it'll probably open again within a few years... <_<
Guest HBK Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 I don't think we'll even get there at this rate. Judging by the planet's current condition, if we don't stop this global warming issue soon, the planet will go chaos. I mean, the glaciers will melt, flooding coast cities, nature will become more scattered...

Furry Curry Level 3 Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 well i think the earth will definitly be a little worse for wear and we will have ourselves parked on other nearby planets and maybe in orbiting shuttles in space. but i am sure space travel will be significantly expanded. think of how much we have done with electricity since its invention. it hasnt been that long

Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Technically if you have the cash you can buy a trip to the International Space Station. Russia likes taking millions of dollars from rich Americans who want to goto space. lol
Ellie_Penguin Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 I've heard it costs about 1 million to go to the moon.
Strategos Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 The moon? I'd bet 10 million. I think one million is to the ISS.
