Fountain Faerie Questions

On the off-chance I get a chance to do a quest for the Rainbow Faerie at some point, I want to know what I'm dealing with beforehand.

 

Firstly, can you change species or is it only colour?

 

Also, can you choose which pet to change, or is it based on whichever one is active? And does it go by when the quest starts or when you bring the item?

I'm the lucky owner of a FFQ too.

 

Only colour can be changed. All of Neopets colours are available except royal, msp and robot.

 

You can claim your reward whenever you want, on the pet of your choice. The only inconvenient is that if you get another Fountain Quest, you should claim your first reward and then complete the quest as it won't accumulate rewards.

Weird.. I thought you use4d to be able to paint them Robot.. Hmm weird.. But yes, pretty much what Xepha said. Think of it like the Rainbow Pool. It is set up kinda similar. But don't worry, when you DO get the Quest, You are able to pick the pet you want.. when you want..
