I have an elf character, but Alas, I cannot name him.

 

Here he is

 

i need a name that can be shortened- like Richard can be shortened to Rick, Ric, Ricky, Rich etc..

 

The character basics-

 

1. He's a shop assistant.

 

2. He's an expert on fantasy creatures- dragons, griffins etc.

 

3. He's in love with the shop keeper of the shop.

Well put short the shop is a 'shop that supplies the fantasy beasts and fantasy items for authors to use in their books..' I know it sounds a bit confusing, but once it gets properly started it'll be ok. Oh and I have a better drawing of him, which I'll put up soon.

I don't know why, but something about a shop keeper says Gregory to me...

Shorten it to Greg, or Gregor if your feeling exotic...

 

It's not very elfish I guess, but it strikes me as a good name for a animal wrangler and shop keep.

And the girl he's in love with could call him Gregy if you wanted to be soupy and obnoxious like that, LOL.

If you want an elf character than fantasy names are the way to go: how about edonis? can be shortened to Ed.

Or maybe Halcyon. Could be shortened to Hal or Cy or something.
