I've got quite a few duplicate items too, but with the duplicate items my number is at 1,105... It's taken me a while to get here, and that's got 2 years worth of advent calendar stuff in as well ;) Quote

Cara Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 Funnily enough after gaining the packrat avatar after a lot of hard work, I suddenly find myself gaining loads of new items that doesn’t cost a lot, but here’s me wondering “why didn’t you come before when I was saving up for the stupid avatar?” I finally limped over the 1000 mark a while back and being ever so pleased about it, but now I have 1172 independent items and I’m left wondering why I found it so hard to get it in the first place. Its quite odd, isn't it?! I got the avvie yesterday! I had 12 items left and I couldn't just sit there waiting for random events to hand me those last few items so I spent and....yay! I just browsed the Money Tree until I saw something I didn't have. Also, Underwater Fishing tends to cough up a lot of junk items, which is good for getting the avvie. I think the most annoying part was actually selling all of the stuff again. Quote

kan-tree-nah Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 i got the packrat avatar only last month....it too me a while too.... i strongly advise to use the project packrat site as it helps alot and saves you getting duplicates...(although the site may be down at the moment as i can't access it) i also found it annoying going from shop to shop buying things...as such my own shop now specialises in these items...although with being unable to access the project packrat site at the moment...i can't price anything... good luck on obtaining the avatar....and if you want to offload...send me a neomail...i will buy the items in the trading post for what i think they are worth based on the previosly mentioned site...
