Utena
I was wondering what others thought Key Quest's effect would be on the price of codestones and the other rare types of items that are being offered for winning/playing. Do you think the prices will plummet, or since things like codestones are one use, the prices will remain pretty stable? Sorry if this is in the wrong spot; I didn't see a Key Quest specific forum. EDIT: Oh wonderful, it says princes in in the title instead of "prices" and I can't figure out how to edit that. Fantastic.
TheUnknown
The price of codestones have already dropped quite a bit, and if they're to continue dropping, I'd say it drop by one 1 more K, at MAX. Neggs... not so sure how much they used to cost, I recall a normal negg costing about 3.5K, so they've dropped quite a bit too. Overall, due to supply and demand, I'd say if KQ continues with these prizes, the costs will stabilize around the point they're at now.
Ithil
I keep all my codestones to train my eyrie thus I don't know their prices. The neggs can still be sold for some k, but I don't know what was their price before KQ. Other prizes (stamps, books, wearables, etc.) dropped. antiaircraft
Well Key Quest has been in beta for quite a while, so I don't see the final release having a big impact on the Neopian economy. Prices might drop slightly, but I think they'll stay reasonably stable for now.
Xepha
The stamps, books, furnitures, etc that had been given out were victim of inflation. Codestones went down, and up a little bit again. People use them, so it won't deflate that much more.
Unstream
Well deflation is really nice for me. It's so much easier to train my pets. Still kind of expensive though. It'd be nice if codestones were all 1k or so lol.
TheUnknown
That'd probably be if there was something giving out codestones every hour, everyday. >_> Although there is one thing that kinda bugs me now. Back then, when KQ first was available to everyone, the books and stamps could still be sold for a small profit (300-500 NP). Now, they're almost worthless, making them effectively junk. Personally, I'd like to see a change in the books and stamps you get. Putting R90+ stamps would be overkill (although you have to admit, 5+mil for a single stamp is pretty ridiculous for me), but having a change of those items would see some decent deflation. There's also those retired stamps... Ugh... 50 mil+ for a once free item? No thanks. :/ They were free once, why not make them available again? XD

I agree, unless I win a codestone or a negg then the only prize is the NPs won in the game. Maybe they should have some "unique" Key Quest only prizes, some common, some less so. If there was an odd Ultra rare book, stamp or plushie in the prizes it would really help the game rather than devaluing once expensive items. naalaro
Please dont remind me!!! I had a stash of 20 orange draik stamps and 10 Roasted garagapple Stamps! Costed me more than 200 thousand and then key quest came along and bam. Gone. My money was all gone. I was saving them up for a rainy day. I had restocker friends crying foul. The price drop was immediate, almost within two days the values were wiped out. Seriously, i hate key quest because of this. But i guess i was a failure myself sicne i failed to predict the price, but then again, those two days when the values dropped, everyone stopped buying those stamps anyway!! GRRR. I agree with you. Some changes (for the books, furnitures, stamps,...) would be nice. Every few months for example. There's also those retired stamps... Ugh... 50 mil+ for a once free item? No thanks. :/ They were free once, why not make them available again? XD Yes, some avie stamps are nearly impossible to get now. It's really sad. I think they could release them again, let the prize drop to a reasonable range, without ruining the people who possess these stamps. naalaro
Ithil: God forbid!! No no, i really rather they keep things as it is. Really. Thats my bread and butter we're talking about here T.T...
Ithil
Ithil: God forbid!! No no, i really rather they keep things as it is. Really. Thats my bread and butter we're talking about here T.T... Sorry, I was especially talking about retired stamps priced for more than 10 millions (until 150 millions!!!). That's really a lot of NP for just one stamp. So the stamps related avies are nearly impossible to get :guiltysmiley: I've tried restocking in stamp shop, it's a little bit difficult for me, lucky you if you can ^_^ (and I really don't want to take your bread nor your butter ^_^ ). Moncsi
I think key quest prizes proce dropped down a bit but they will be stop inflating i think sooner or latter but collectables will be hard to sell...

Thats my bread and butter we're talking about here T.T... I'm more focused on retired stamps than those R90-R100s... (Although I still think they need at least SOME deflation, maybe 5-10mil max?) If you have enough skill, you can get those R90+ stamps, but no matter how much skill you have, you can't get the retired one unless you're obscenely rich. Not only that, but I'm willing to bet 90%+ of the people who had it put in their stamp collections already.
Utena
I hope the prizes do cycle and change some. One of my problems with like the altador plot council daily thing you can do is that now everything is 1-5 np, because they only have a dozen or so objects that they give out, and who needs 50 Altador rugs? So of course people will sell them. (same with the lunar thing. I don't even do that anymore)
Xepha
So Utena, do you actually think the same thing will happen (or is happening) with Key Quest prizes?
FutureTXTurkey
I think it is going to drop them, but I'm not sure how I feel about it... Neggs don't bother me either way because I don't use them for anything. But codestones, I seem to stumble upon a lot of, and on the one hand cheaper training is good, but on the other hand I'm not that into training, and it's nice to actually make a few bucks off those random events.
