mxpxrocks222 Posted October 14, 2008 Share Posted October 14, 2008 so i just got a new mac (yay!) but all my movies are in .avi format but i have vlc player but i dont know how to switch it to be my default player for videos... can anyone help? Xepha Posted October 14, 2008 Share Posted October 14, 2008 Alright, so the best way to do it is to 'get info' on one of your .avi file. Then you will see what is the default application to open it. Select VLC in the dropdown and then you have a sentence that says 'use this application to open all documents of this type", and click on 'change all'. All your .avi should now open in VLC.
