Divya - April's not TOO bad... some people go in the summer and think it won't be hot and don't drink water, so the get heatstroke. It gets above 100 in the summer down in the canyon.

It gets cold up on the rim and up north in the high elevation. I think places where it snows count as being cold.

Most people aren't prepared for the heat down in the canyon. What time of year did you go? I've backpacked with my dad in the fall there before and it was really nice inside.

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of Royal pets in general.

Wow, I actually like Royal Draiks the best of those. :laughingsmiley: Desert and Island are neat too though. What would be neat is a Draik painted a different color with the royal clothes. That confuses me thinking about it though.

I haven't played Animal Crossing on DS before... is it about the same on DS as it is on GameCube?

I beat Abigail's score easy enough, but AAA's seems impossible. It's nice though because it's easy to get 1000 NP. :)

I got 79% on my first try on Hard on the first level.

A swamp cooler uses the evaporation of water to cool the air. It makes the air kinda humid, but it's fairly dry here to begin with. I don't like them.

Anyone have any DS games to suggest? I'm looking at some online to buy. So excited, I love getting new electronics! :O Last birthday was my Zune, which was a surprise and a half!

PLUS, my best friend got me a drawing tablet. (Haha, I like to know what I'm getting in advance.) And erm, I'm sure alcohol will be a present from someone even though I don't drink that much, simply because I'll be 21. :king:

I love Mario games in general. Super Mario 64 for DS is pretty good. So is Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, especially if you like some humor in your games. I have a crossword/sudoku/solitaire game that is nice too. Professor Layton's ok. Oh and both Zelda games are great. I also like these games called Trauma Center that are a little crazy - you do surgery and stuff, but it turns into made-up diseases. Oh and I like Harvest Moon. And Castaways - you're stranded on a beach.

I have a lot of DS games.

I got bored with Animal Crossing after a while (on GameCube though). I also got bored with Rune Factory 2, though I was excited about the game.

Interesting... when I clicked on 20,000, I got 2500. When I clicked to the right of 20,000 this morning, I got 500, which is to the right of 2500. Maybe it's different for different people.

Uh, I tried clicking on 20,000 and I got 2500.

I was going to complain about it being 500 NP, but on my first spin, I got 2500 NP.

EDIT: I donated 25,000 NP to the Mediocrity Wheel and got History of Neopian Wheels.

Oh I love storms in AZ. It's going to be monsoon season soon. There's something about the way it storms in the desert that is just plain awesome. The smell is really good too. (I think that's partially due to creosote bushes.)

Yeah, pretty much everyone has AC here because you're crazy not too. Some people still have swamp coolers though. I'm sure glad we don't (they don't cut it when it's 115 outside).

Ooh, video games! I'm a huge Nintendo fan. I own:

NES, N64, GameCube, Wii, GameBoy Color, DS. Unfortunately, I never had a SNES.

I've also played:

Sega Genesis (Aladdin and Sonic FTW!), Dreamcast, PS2, DSi... I think that's it.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the DS. I just read an article on the 3DS and I think I might have to upgrade when it comes out (mostly because they're going to release Paper Mario and that's one of my favorite games EVER). The DSiXL just looks way too big for me. I like my DS to be smaller and more portable.

I've never played it. Is the score hard for the challenge?

I need all the random ones too! I try for all those every day, multiple times a day if I can, except for Lever of Doom. I haven't been able to get any of them though. :( I really want the Buried Treasure and Grundo Plushie ones. Oh and Geraptiku. Well, all of them. :laughingsmiley:

Oh I like the Grundo Plushie avatar too. And I have issues with codes as well. I tried to get Math's Nightmare at the beginning of the month, but I could never figure out how to use the code at the right time.

I need to work on making NP... I can't decide how I want to make NP. Sometimes I think that I have neopets ADD. :laughingsmiley: There are too many goals, too many things to work on!

Extreme Potato Counter makes me nervous too. Ah! Game avatars freak me out. I should start working for them though.

It just means that I'm going to study cells and genes. I'm actually going to work with lizards, so maybe I should get a techo or something to celebrate. :laughingsmiley:

I'm worried I'm going to get the 15 million NP and not want to spend it. But at that point, what would I spend that much NP on? I haven't bought much in months.

I would want a couple mil extra to rebuild from if I was going to spend that much, so that would be hard. Who knows... I might want to have 18-20 mil to spend 15. Maybe that's a little intense, but I like having at least 2 mil in the bank.

See, my goal right now (though loose lately) is to earn a lot of NP. Problem is, I want avatars too, and a lot of those cost NP. Something of a paradox maybe?

See, I love sea turtles! I don't want to spend the money for a Maraquan PB though. My best wish now is to zap one, get a FFQ, or trade for one with a good zap maybe.

Of course I like Draiks and Krawks too, but I just don't think that I could spend the money on one. If I got that many NP, I wouldn't want to spend it.

That's nice that you can work on it at work. I'm not sure how much time I'll have to be on neopets when I start grad school in August. :/

I got frustrated with Typing Terror... I should try for that one again. I'm good at typing and always beat it, but am not lucky enough to get a high enough score (my highest is 4 below what's needed for the avatar). Game avvies scare me as well.

My dream pet is Maraquan Shoyru. I wish there was a MP for one... Maraquan PBs are way too expensive. :/

I'm not actively trying to get a Draik. Theoretically, I'm saving up my NPs, but realistically I've been spending lately. :guiltysmiley:

The Draik eggs don't stock much in the attic.

That's pretty lame! Re-imaging usually works. I have a Mac laptop, so I don't have to worry about viruses for now anyways.
