  1. I have the random event which qualifies me for a 10% discount for Hidden Tower purchase. I'd like to know which item (at 10% off) should I buy and resell to maximise my profit. I only have 14M so ultra expensive items that are more expensive than that even after the discount I can't get.
  2. Hello! This is a thread that discusses 'Neopets games you are bad at that everyone else is good at' and 'games that you are good at that everyone else is bad at' Note that this is an opinion list, as in everyone has games that they are bad/good at. Try not to include games that everyone is unanimously bad at like Darblat if you are merely going to say you're bad at it (unless you want to specify that's the game you're good at) I'll start xD Bad list: Dubloon Disaster: It is very hard for me to get above 200 because of how clunky I am with the controls. I always have to rely on good luck with the rare Dubloons, which never arrive Turmac Roll: By the time it's the third obstacle on hard mode I tend to lose. Those small 'double humped' hills always confuse me as I don't know how to get height from them. Even 300 is rare for me to hit. Rare berries never come for me Bouncy Supreme: Just as I get my trust to follow the coins and expect it to lead me through, I fall and lose many lives. I usually don't get more than 1000 Good list: Hot Dog Hero: Most people have trouble with this game due to the difficulty of coordinating the mouse and the keyboard. I just mustard bounce my way. I play it so fast that I often have to wait a bit before sending my score before I tend to get TNT reviews due to how 'ridiculously fast I get the 1K score' Snow Wars 2: I just use a mass 'surround all snowmen' in the first round strategy to get many points and catapults to get the 1K score fast. Ironically I still can't get the avatar score, but let's be real, most people can't xD
  3. Does this have something to do with 'Legends and Letters'? The Krawk looks awfully similar to the one here
  4. Yes you do return there later at the end of Act 3, after obtaining Fyora's Rod. You can lessen the grinding time by entering and exiting the library to instantly regrow the grass. Also sorry to hear that you don't get the Cloak of heroes :'c
  5. Ah yes, my interest around 4.5K which is expected for 13M but I was purposely making my estimates conservative to encourage even those newbies with negligible interest, hence I didn't include interest. The 5K from battledome items itself is grossly underestimated, I see Eo and red codestones so frequently xD Based off my calculations, if your interest is 23K then you must have 67M. Wow, super rich! xD That's true, but I don't think a lot of people play Ghoul Catchers, and although the NP limit is capped at 50K, would the average player stick through playing many times? 6. This thread only concerns those who have played or are familiar with the PS2 game 'Neopets: The Darkest Faerie' Many years ago, I stumbled upon a site run by whichever company made the models and animations. That's the origin place where these model sheet styles came from. Some ref sheets are still searchable online if you google 'Neopets the darkest faerie model sheet' but not all of them will show up The website (which is long gone now) had a ref sheet containing Psellia and Siyana. However, they do not appear in the game (as the description of the image also says 'cut'). The models looked as expected, with both faeries sharing the same body shape and type as Illusen and Fyora. Additionally, there was a list showing the names of the different model assets (example: since baby grarrls exist as a model, it is listed as 'Young Grarrl' and so on). And then I noticed something odd. There were 2 names I have not seen before, Spyder boss (cut) and Cloud beast (cut). Which means 2 bosses (assuming Cloud Beast is a boss) have been cut from the game. There was no model sheet or additional info, just the names were present, which leads me to believe that the either was either cut early on before modelling finished or even began. Also, upon further digging on info, I found this site: http://www.peterjwalters.com/video-games.html#neopets It is, however, not the website I was talking about, but it DOES have the Psellia model, but not the Siyana model. It also does not talk about the cut bosses. On that site you can also see a 'playtesting' video which shows early footage of the game. And it is early footage, because in the final version, the bandit enemies have longer lifebars. I also do recall seeing (not on this site, I don't know where I found it) of an early video game footage of 'Crypt of the sentries' area where the 'skull spirit' enemies had short lifebars. Additionally the 'dumb skeleton' enemies were not called that. I forgot the name but it was somewhere along the lines of 'Skeleton' or 'Skeleton basher' There was also a youtube channel ran by one of the animators where some (not all) of the game's animations (particularly Tor and Roberta) were being tested against a gray background, which included Roberta making funny faces. I cannot find this channel sadly. I was wondering if anyone had any info about those mysteries because I can't be the only one curious about it
  7. Today I will analyze the possibility of 1 million NP being made within 25 days! Therefore an average of 40K needs to be made in a day. For Trudy's surprise, the average amount gained in a day is 17815 (provided you stick with playing for 25 consecutive days). But in reality, even getting that amount is impossible, due to the 'rotten luck bonus' interfering, so I'll just round up the average Trudy gain to 18K. Also note that starting the Trudy chain nets smaller prizes than the consecutive days, so do not worry if you don't actually hit 40K within a day. Just follow the analysis and take my word for it that the Trudy reward does average out to 18K within 25 days. Cumulative NP: 18K NP left to hit quota: 22K There's an additional guaranteed 1.5K that can be gained in the Battledome Cumulative NP: 19.5K NP left to hit quota: 20.5K But we also gain items in the Battledome, very often codestones! They are very easy to sell so the asset can be liquidated into NP very quickly So I shall estimate an average of 5K of items that can easily be sold. Even if you're skeptical about, let me just include items and NP won from free no-risk dailies like Coltzan, Forgotten Shore and Anchor Management Cumulative NP: 24.5K NP left to hit quota: 15.5K Dailies such as the quiz and crossword pretty much guarantee an extra 0.8K provided you pay attention to the answers given by TDN Cumulative NP: 25.3K NP left to hit quota: 14.7K Then we should be able to play games. Just about anyone can get 15K solely from games, can they? Everyone has their own skill at games, but generally it's easy for people to play the games they like. game viabilities are subject to change due to updating NP ratios. Here are my personal favourites (these games always have favourable NP ratios): 'Zero effort' games: Fashion Fever and Catch Petpet, earning a total of 2K My '3K' games personally are: Kass Basher, Hot Dog Hero, Nova Defender, Snowager (there's more but these are the quickest ones for me I won't groan at playing), earning a total of 12K 'Ultra quick' games to help push the NP a teensy bit higher, like Meerca Chase, Darigan Dodgeball and Tunnel Tumble, earning a total of 3K Cumulative NP: 42.3K NP left to hit quota: 2.3K exceeded Diligently following this routine for 25 days will earn you a total of 10575000 NP! So keep playing everyday and enjoy! :3
