  1. EDIT: And there's no way to contact them? The help page and "contact us" page shows an expired page. Does anyone know where to submit bugs?

I think I did manage to send a ticket a couple days ago about this but when I tried to check the progress over the weekend I noticed that I couldn't access the information or indeed anything related to reporting issues, so don't know whether that actually went through or got lost in the depth of the internet somewhere. ...there seem to be quite a few people venting their frustrations on the offical message board so I would think the issue is known to the team by now.

  2. glad to see I am not imagning things.

so far I have only stung for an item thta cost me 4k each (and I needed 4) but from what others have mentioned that is nothing compared to what is likely to come.

This inflation is frightening and ridiculus. From the list on jellyneo I thought this was a way to reduce junk in Neopia as most of the items listed were under 10 NP but now only very rich people will be able to complete the quests. :(

  3. I got a new RE with this text:

*static* -- there hear me? ...My original workshop *POP* -- looks like a water tower -- *ffffff* -- there to teleport to... you arrive. *static*

Went to the water tower in Moltara and then investigated the panel. If you click on all the lights until they go green you get a prize.

Not sure if it is the same for everyone but I got "Something Already Happened Cake Plate"

  4. I can't get a score submitted by hitting space bar and points are in no relation to speed at which I am hitting the keys. The bonus letters also don't appear to respond to input. Thought it was my keyboard but if others are having similar problems I am inclined to think it is the game ...and no nothing else running on the computer. Had the problem today and yesterday.

  5. Darigan as every year.

Also there doesn't seem to me more loyalty prizes for each year you play, just different ones.

I got Discarded Yooyuball Gear Foreground for 6 years of playing (first year I signed up but was so bad at yooyuball that I didn't score any goal and therefore didn't get any points)

  6. Zapping has saved me literally millions of NP -- and probably at least a year off the time it would have taken me to train this high. Yes, you'll lose stats. Sometimes you'll lose several days in a row. But remember that the net effect is an increase in stats, so it saves money and time off training. Keep a record of your changes, if you like. But don't be scared of the lab ray -- it's easy to keep a pet balanced as long as you pay attention.

That's all good and well as long as you don't mind you battle pet changing colour and species every so often. I initially trained my main pet with the ray but gave up because I really wanted her to stay an Eyrie. Transmogrified her before continuing to train at the training school. ...now only use the lab ray to get my dreamies. Got a Lutari that way which is a reasonable beginner battle now and who knows where my current lab rat ends up before it is one of the species/ colours I like to keep.

  7. I agree there is no one stat that is the most important.

My main battledome pet is a balanced one if you ignore speed.

So is the other pet that has been training only via the training schools and random events.

I do have two lab rats but I find fighting with them quite difficult as their high health points are paired with reasonable strength and very poor defence. This basically means you have to make sure you deal maximum damage in the first round and hope that your opponent doesn't deal enough damage in return. This of course has become a lot harder with the addition of hte weapon cancelling abilities.

On the other hand if you plan to generate a lot of np to buy high end weapons you may be able to make up for a weaker stat but as was said before, the way the training system works means you have to train at least two (level and the one you consider important anyway).

If you are completely new to the battledome have a look at the guidance articles in the battlepedia where the advantages of the most common stat combinations with regards to the strategies they work with are discussed.

  8. I only got 1 air faerie. I think the Chinese language also prevents you from getting the special faeries.

    I'll try English today.

i can confirm that using chinese does not prevent special faeries. Had two battle faeries so far, a few earth faeries (which seem to always give me whatever is ahead of my other stats anyway ...) and only one air fairie

  9. Right on the number of items per day, but so far the battles I've been logging on my current opponent, Tax beast, I rarely get any codestones, sometimes a couple of weak faeries. I think it's random, against the last opponent I was collecting data on, Jelly Chia, I had more days of getting 3-8 good items (Codestones/Faeries/Misc. Treasures) TNT MAY have changed the rates or something after the war ended. Because it seemed to me like Really USEFUL prizes were getting slightly more scarce, at least for me, since that time.

Not sure if they have changed things. I mainly battle the Mutant Walein and the best haul I had a could of days ago was something like 6 regular codestones, 5 faeries, one red codestone and a couple books/ other useless items to make up the 15.

If anything has changed it is the amount of red codestones that are given out in the dome of the deep. Used to get one to two a day but now it is hovering between none and one with the exception of 2.

Looking at this I am glad I decided to remain patient and continue training at the academy even though I am at 6 codestones there now. I just make sure I never have to buy more than one or two of the codestones asked for and get the rest from the battledome and other events.

With more pets heading for the ninja school I would expect red codestones to go up again over time. Afterall there is no other option once you reach there to train in terms of higher level pets heading to yet another type of school.

  10. And at least with the regular BD opponents available, we can battle for prizes in other arenas, thank goodness! I was not impressed with Tyrannia prizes during the war.

Totally agree, the Tyrannia prices aren't great and those that are frequently dropped are almost worthless so not much incentive to go for them at all.

Will go back to the dome of the deep while I can get prizes and then worry about a few more fights in the skirmish later.

  11. Like the look of the male clothing but it wouldn't match the island colour my Weyoun_5 is painted.

...guess he will be celebrating his 8th birthday with some free training only.

  12. Can't get myself motivated to do any serious battling. It is tedious, still glitchy occasionally where weapons or healing seem to not do anything even though there is no mention of the opponents using any abilities ...

Guess I will keep it up to get the items everyday but probably not much beyond that.

The boons aren't that great that they motivate me to really put an effort in.

  13. had a very favourable quest today. ...queen faerie asking for an item worth 5NP.

On the downside that has pushed my pet up to 6 codestone training. Guess I'll limit training to the FQs for the duration of the event and then see what is the most ecomonic option afterwards.

  14. Stayed with the Order.

Not sure I like the idea of 2 player battling. It would be quite difficult to make fair matches as you would have to take all stats into account. Using just one would result in pretty unfair battles when a labrat gets matched to a balanced pet of say the same level.

  15. Hmm, seem to have missed those earthquakes at the beginning as I didn't get a single score for that one.

Generally not done too bad though; Warmonger trophy with 614k ish points.

...and as the consolation price I got Ham and Mustard Packed Lunch

As for what to get, I think I'll wait if any of the battledome items are worth having. Otherwise the book is a given but what else.

  16. . Seems pretty logical to me - after all, which would you complain about for longer: a month for awesome prizes to be released, or crappy prizes after two weeks? There's really a lot more downside to releasing prizes nobody likes than there is for an extra few weeks wait.

Actually I don't read it as making awesome or crappy prizes but more making it fair on how much effort you needed to put in to get decent prizes without being completely demoralising.

If one of the prizes is a really powerful weapon which only a handful of players had enough points to get you would hear a lot of moaning, same if that powerful weapon was so easy to get that it completely upsets the battledome economy/ balance ...remember how many people were wondering if HCC would get its stat changed due to it looking too got to be true?
