Finally getting all my dubloons in my shop! Hah. It's just been on my to-do list for a minute, and I'm putting myself on a spending freeze until I have 1m liquid, in my bank (no investing in more stocks, no more restocking, no more doing dailies that require spending). Just gonna keep playing games like crazy until I finally get there :)

What! No I haven't noticed that, that's crazy. I probably wouldn't purchase the stocks because it could seem like you're trying to take advantage of a glitch in the eyes of staff.

Do some research about the program, the professors, and the course work. If you see yourself finding that you're wanting to do that work and work with those teachers more than what you're currently studying, and you can afford any additional fees in tuition/time it may take to complete your degree, then go for it.

I changed my major 5 times in school, and am proud to have selected and graduated with my first and final one, psychology. I cannot wait to go back to go to back to school to get my masters, once I'm ready. Currently, I'm opening my own photography business and pursuing a new passion I have found, and to save up enough money to pursue my other passion. It's possible to have multiple passions, and make them work. Just remember to be wise with your time and money, and to be kind to everyone in each field you may pursue, because you never know when you may need help, and you never want to burn any bridges along the way :)

I have a little over 1m when you add everything up. My dream is to get to 10m so I can have the highest bank account :) To me, 10m+ is rich.

Is it a superstitious thing, a time thing?

For me, it's a little bit of both! I usually do my dailies/top games before I go to work at the studio. And then, when I come home, I play games in between editing photos/doing work. I'm very methodical with how I go about everything, and it kind of reflects my personality! When I was younger though, I definitely did things more superstitiously.

I agree with what everyone else has said, and I want to add on with user rowtiderow that if you don't find the right person, keep looking. It's important to talk to a professional that you are comfortable with, so don't be discouraged if your first go doesn't help. I had to go through 3 therapists to find one that was good for my situation, and I'm very happy that I kept sticking it out because that's how I made a full recovery with some things I was battling for years.

I am keeping kind thoughts for you, and I hope that everything works out. The first step is always the hardest, but I'm so proud of you for taking it and I wish you all the best. <3

Also the Super Attack Pea....I have a long ways to go before I can hope of getting it! I just can't believe people are buying that item for $600, *REAL MONEY*.... Like what? Pay my rent instead of getting your account frozen! LOL!!

10-20k depending on how many games I play. Sometimes 30k if dailies are good, and if I sell stock (I'm the person who buys at 15np, sells at 16np, lol!)

Wow, it's lovely to see that you've managed to make a career out of it! Is that something you actively sought to achieve, or did it just happen?

My nice DSLR broke at the end of my photography A level so I've been out of practice for a couple of years, but I've just bought a basic Nikon D3300 to play around with - so far it's very different from my previous choice of Canon, but I wouldn't go back!

Do you have a preference of Canon/Nikon/Other brand?

Oh my gosh Rest in Peace camera :( I'm glad to hear you like your new camera though :) honestly. it just happened. I got a photography internship somewhat by accident (LOL!) while I was graduating and looking at psychology grad school programs, and I kept shooting and kept working and now I'm looking at making my brand an LLC because I've been getting so much business! I had NO IDEA this was going to happen I always thought I'd be a counselor or therapist at this age! I'm 100% Canon too. I started out with a T2i, and now I shoot on a 5D mark III the camera my boss used at my internship :)

 

 

I have a Nikon D3100. I love taking pictures of birds. I go out at least one day a week. I just got a really amazing pic of a Snowy Owl. :-)

OMG!!! I also photograph birds too! Snowy Owl wow.

 

And by photograph birds, I mean, I photograph my two pet birds :) I love them and they make great models!

Hi! Do you guys have a list of games that you guys play daily? I usually play games straight after I do my dailies, but sometimes if I'm craving playing a certain game, I'll play it before I get onto my games.

These are my games that I play every day (almost always in this order, too):

1. Meerca Chase II
2. Turmac Roll
3. Hasse Bounce
4. Pakiko
5. Carnival of Terror
6. Freaky Factory
7. Faerie Bubbles
8. Destruct-O-Match

And a couple of others from time to time too. I play them daily because I've gotten decent at them and they're my top NP earners.

What about you guys though? What are your daily-plays, if you have any?

While I'm going my dailies or browsing the site, I use the time to catch up on new albums I've downloaded and listen to them! (But a lot of times, I have Lifetime on the tv in the background and watch terrible reality TV shows :P )

The premium bar does have it advantages! You made me suddenly realise I actually use it for my stocks as wel :P.

But my favorite part is still the SSW.

The SSW is the number 1 reason why I want it. But knowing that it has the stocks displayed on the top is now an even greater incentive to get it. I'm seriously considering getting it once the lag problem is fixed!

thats what i do. check after i buy my shares. Also, if youre a premium member your stock numbers are posted on the premium bar. If its an unusually high percentage like 25%+ ill check to see whats going on. Good luck :)

That's cool! And how I started out too! I had a cheap digital camera in high school, went to college to get a degree in Psychology, got my first DSLR Canon in college, and then got so hooked on it that I started my own portraiture business after graduation! I also now work for the college I studied at doing sports photography, and working with the marching band I marched in too. Hah! It's so funny how things turn out :)

It would be kind of cool if it were really based on sales! Too bad there's a lot of bad apples out there that would ruin the fun for everyone.

^It's been really spotty here for me too. I've had trouble's just accessing the front of the site, and the Games Room. I had no problem an hour ago doing my dailies, though. Maybe they're preparing for downtime tonight.

I'm very happy that this is becoming a routine thing, downtime for maintenance. I hope that each time, they getting a little bit closer to getting the site working back just like it used to. I've already noticed a significant increase in quality and load times, so I'm happy!

Wow! I never thought about it being code. That would make the most sense, because I could see how the Stock Market could be exploited by a few very rich Neopians. That wouldn't be very fun for everyone else… LOL! I'm sure staff does monitor numbers and suspicious activity on the stocks though!

I used to be all donate/store in SDB! But since the lag, I have been discarding pure junk (things that can't be eaten, read, or used, and are worth >1NP). I like to think it cleans the servers up, and that it helps the site run smoother.

I have been wondering this for such a long time! I know that you can get paintbrushes from the Trading Post, Auctions, and some dailies, but I was wondering how they came about in the first place…. that must be really cool to find a super rare paintbrush from a Random Event!

Does anyone know of a master list that shows which Paint Brushes can be obtained from which dailies? Sometimes I just like to look at these things and hope, LOL!

Hi! I have a question about the Neopian Stock Market.

Are the numbers of the stock based on how people actually buy or sell stock within a company, or do the stocks rise/fall randomly?

Thanks for the help! A side note: My account is relatively new (lost password to old account from early 2000's, made up a random birthday because I was a stupid kid haha), but I'm trying this time around to make more NP than I did in the past. My favorite thing to do is make NP on Neopets, and my goal is 10mil NP (Ultimate Riches! Bank Account), and I've read that the Stock Market is a good way to do that in the long run. I'm new to the TDN Boards and I hope to make some friends here, too :)
