I NEED that Stealthy Buzz. It looks so good with just the cape and other customisation items. Not fond of the rest of the armor, but I'm sure a lot of people will love it.

Pretty unhappy with the colors TNT chose this year. They were well executed, but just not selected very well. Like a few other commenters, I think a Stealthy Lupe would have been amazing. The Lupe was just built to look ferocious and agile. Oh well, there's always next year!

Hey, I'm doing great - thanks for asking! I'm actually getting a lot better at restocking lately! Yesterday (Half Price Day) I restocked a Happiness Faerie Plushie and some other random plushies/stamps that I put in my shop. My only tip is to keep practicing! Whenever you miss a restock, just think of how you're closer to catching it each time. You'll get the hang of it soon. :yes:

Although I have to admit I'm not yet finished with dance with dragons...I was interrupted with some other books and decided I would take a break, as they are a LOT to take in lol. nice to meet you :)

 

I'm only on A Clash of Kings, so at least you're ahead of me! I'm a very slow reader because of some processing problems, but the series really keeps me motivated! I cannot wait until the season premiere! It's going to be amazing. I've already had everything spoiled for me, but I'm excited to see how the show handles things. :king:

Game of Thrones (A Song of Fire and Ice) is pretty brutal in the later books and the series diverged a long way from it, but if you look at both of them as separate entities, they each have their own merits. What I find most fascinating is that no matter who you side with, there really isn't anyone that's a "nice" person. They're all really cutthroat. There are no real "heroes". A small bit of advice to those who are having trouble keeping track of it all: try writing down the page number for each characters' chapters and reading only one "person" at a time. Like only read the chapters named Tyrion, then go back and read someone else's chapters, and so on. It gives you a more linear viewpoint of exactly what each of them is doing. I recommend doing this after you've read the entire thing as it's written, of course. It's only for catching all those subtleties that you might have missed the first time through. Works wonders.

I absolutely love how the characters are so multi-faceted. It keeps things fresh, unlike other books that follow the usual hero and villain tropes. I've definitely had to get used to how the books and the show differs, but it actually helps to make things more interesting for each medium. I don't thing some parts of the books would work on television, as well as parts of the show not working in the books. I'm very excited to see how they work in different things for this next season! And that's a really great tip for readers. Maybe once I finish the series, I'll go back and do that. ^_^

 

 

Hello Shannon and everyone else, my name is Vanessa and i too am from Texas. I also have been a neopets user for many years. Like everyone else i occasionally have taken the said break from neopets from time to time. I always seem to be drawn back though. Unfortunately, i have missed a couple plots this way though. Oh well. Wow, i feel so out of the loop with my lack of "Game of Thrones" knowledge. haha. Perhaps that shall inspire me to find the the first season and start watching the show. Oh yeah, btw, maractite totally does remind me of the Disney Atlantis movie also. I have always though so.

I'm pretty disappointed about that, because some of them looked really interesting. Hopefully we get a new plot soon because these events are starting to get a bit repetitive. Definitely check out Game of Thrones, though! It's so, so interesting and exciting. And let me know what you think if you do end up watching!

I'm not sure I'd be interested in the show (when we get satellite, we're only going to have the usual 3 months free of HBO and we'll probably get rid of Netflix), but I'm starting to think I should read the books.

 

Have you read them (or any other TDNers), and if so, are they worth it?

 

It's a very violent, explicit, and emotional show, but it is truly amazing if you're even slightly into power struggles and even medieval/fantasy themes. I've read the first two books, and I loved them dearly. They're very long and seem a bit daunting at first, but each chapter follows one character, so it's all split up nicely for you. I feel like that helps sort things out in my head, haha. They're very worth it! :thumbsup:

 

 

I've read the GoT books, LOVE THEM! However it is one of the rare instances where the show is equally as amazing. I would recommend both to anyone of a mature age. ^_^

I've been on Neo almost 11 years now! (I created surfcat08 when I was eight years old. It's hilarious looking at my old lookup.) I used to take breaks for years at a time but I think I'm back to stay this time. What about you? Been around for a long time? I love your list of interests! :P

I knew I remembered that name from somewhere! I don't watch GoT, though, so I was thinking it was from somewhere else. :P

 

Haha, she's extremely popular amongst the fans, so I'm sure you heard it in passing somewhere on the internet! She's really, really cool and a great example of a strong female character. :yes:

I've started collecting stamps in the past couple of months. I'm going from the cheapest stamps to the most expensive. I also filled out most of my Sea Shells page. Those last four shells on that page are haunting me! My favorite part about collecting is watching pages start to fill up. I've only got a little over a hundred stamps, but each one is so satisfying to put into my album. I use JellyNeo's item database and sort all the stamps by price, then work my way up buying each one. Once a link is purple, I know not to go back to it. Eventually, I'll probably switch to this stamp checklist on JN so I can make a petpage of the stamps I have left to collect. It's going to be a lot of neopoints to fill up some pages, but it'll be nice to collect something else on top of my gallery.

My favorite species is most definitely a tie between Eyries and Xweetoks. I love how majestic/regal Eyries look - I have a Stealthy Eyrie named Pryme who I love with all my heart. Xweetoks are just adorable. They're so feminine (in my eyes) and look so lovely in certain customizations. I have a Xwee named Freefolk that I'm planning on painting Woodland and customizing her until I've wasted so much NC it's embarassing, haha.

 

I love Krawks, too! They're so fun to customize and I love their faces. Maybe I'll morph my pet Ghoaste into one at some point.

 

I'd say my favorite color is Stealthy because it's so unique between each pet. Between patterned colors, Maractite is my favorite. It reminds me of a Disney movie from 2001 called Atlantis. My gallery is entirely devoted to the color. :wub_anim:

I'm waiting for a (really exciting) pet lend this month, but I've had a few spare days to adopt pets from the pound, feed them, cure them, and put them in the lodge. Yesterday, I finally adopted a Jetsam and got myself the Jetsam - Wanna Fight? avatar, took care of the pet, and then put him back in the pound. Today, I'm going to adopt another Jetsam to get the Jetsam - Chomp! avatar. Hopefully, I can encourage others to take the route of adopting needy pets one by one to get pet avatars (if possible) instead of lending and transferring all over the place. ^_^

I joined the Thieves Guild in a whim, but I'm regretting that now that I see this poll. Welp, I'll keep my fingers crossed! Good luck to everyone!

Suddenly I'm very interested in Shoyrus... That Stealthy armor has Pryme feeling very jealous. :P

So far I've gained three movement and lost one defence. I've spent around 80k. That's a pretty steep price for some stats, but I'm going to keep at it in case I get some large increases.
