During Spring Break I did things I read on this board...and in short, it worked!

I stopped washing my hair but after 3 days it was super greasy and I cant remember now, but I had to meet someone or go somewhere and look presentable so I washed my hair but after my shower I put oil at the roots of my hair (since I used warm water -- strips oils). After that, I would brush my hair with a bristle brush everyday to spread the oil of my hair. I think it was around the third day I started to use powder on my head...

I think I didnt have to wash my hair for about a week an a half but I lost track of how many days went by...still...I was surprised and super happy! I'm going to be trying this as much as possible!

lol that is true... I have been thinking about it in the back of the mind...but I havent been logging in the past week since 1st week back to school is always hectic for me (waitlist, dropping, adding...eeh). This past week I only log in to see if anything has been stolen (because when I got my account back my new/side account was getting items and NPs stolen, not sure how -- nothing fishy this week, tho)

Anyway... I think neopets can see I have only been using 1 account, and not both simultaneously...but ty for the warning. I will be transferring items soon so I can have everything back in just 1 account

People who chew gum or chips or really anything super loudly. It's drives me absolutely insane. I have to leave and not be near them.

I hate this so much! I was finishing an essay in a lecture room (class was cancelled) and a guy comes in because his class is going to start in 40 minutes... but he is sitting there chewing his gum so loudly! AH, I couldnt concentrate! :/ I was really hoping he would bite his tongue... the way he was chewing was so gross, mouth open and everything.

Alsoo annoying, when people dont signal they are going to make a turn

when i am signaling that I am about to turn (i do this ahead of time, not at the last second) and the person behind me takes this to mean to get as close as possible! Or honk me when I am slowing down to make a turn! x.x'

My main account was stolen... I have been using my side since and now that I have my main back, I have still only been using my side...

I guess I switched main and side accounts since I barely log onto my "main" anymore. I'm not making nps on both accounts or joining factions on both accounts, or anything like that.

Oh, that reminds me...

I hated coffee and I hated Starbucks for the longest time... but they do have delicious desertas and I like their pesto sandwich or whatever it's called (a friend bought it for me and I thought it was great!)

But the place that got me used to coffee was Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. OMG their hazelnut coffee was the first coffee I ever liked and I learned to love coffee since (and I eventually grew to like Starbucks years after)

So... two more places I like to go to ;p

I had a professor say that a drug (I cant remember if it started with marijuana or something else. even if it didn't start with marijuana, it later played a role in this) was introduced to minorities by the government to keep their population in check. Distract the people, get them hooked, and soon make it illegal to keep a majority of them under control. Hence the drug war and mass incarceration for people growing marijuana crops.

I wish I could remember more about this class, but if it sparked anyone's interest, you can try to google "prison industrial complex" for more info.

As for the topic itself, as many pointed out, there are ANY benefits to hemp.

Awe, that is a shame. I think that combined with an anthropology degree would make for some really interesting research! but i am biased, and I think anything combined with anthropology is a good idea haha

aaahh... that is true. I think anyone looking to go in any field should research it first, along with researching the school they are applying to. I know some degrees from non-research colleges are regarded as pseudosciences so they won't get you anywhere...shame for those who spend their money on them only to realize later it wasn't worth anything :(

So my friends joke with me saying I am a cat lady in training. My ex and mom feared when I saw kitties on the street because my IQ drops significantly whenever I see cats around (and because I want to feed them or take them home). My eye sight is horrible, but for whatever reason, I can spot a cat that's on the next block....I guess it's my calling haha

ANYWAY

Last year I was telling a friend about TNR (trap, neuter, release) to keep the feral cat population under control. I think it's a good idea, because ferals are technically wild cats, and like any wild animal, they usually dont adapt to living as a pet (or at least not as quick as some people would want them to). Many ferals get sent to animal shelters, but because they are wild kitties that will never be domesticated, many get put down.

Now, some ferals are super sweet and some do learn to live with humans. My neighbor took one in and while the cat does get nervous when your reach out to pet her at first, she loves a good cuddle. My own cat was a feral kitten when I took her in, so her adapting to humans was easier than taking in a feral adult. Some feral-turned-home cats are super loved by their patient owners, but I have heard it took a cat 12 years to get used to living with humans. Yikes...so yeah, not everyone who adopts a feral will be THAT patient...which is why many get returned to shelters or put down.

I was telling my friend about TNR and she said it was a cruel thing to do. When I asked her why, she said they are wild animals now. We shouldn't try to control the wild population and just let them roam free across the plains.

Sooooo....

What are your thoughts on feral populations? Should we try to control the population and find kittens good homes or should we just let them be?

Some accent marks are important. You dont want someone to think youre writing about their butt when you meant to say year :P For me, it's important because I hope I can take courses in mexico or any other spanish-speaking country someday. Maybe it wont happen, but who knows

YAY: My independent research is going to be on the Guatemalan civil war, I was able to get into both classes I was waitlisted, and I will be able to minor in Middle Eastern Islamic Studies!

I created my first account when I was in 5th grade...because the cool middle school kids had accounts...lol. Now I am in my early 20s and still playing. My mom created an account when I did because she wanted to know what I was doing online and she got hooked as well. I have met plenty of people in their 40s and one in their 50s...I think Neopets is for anyone to play. Besides, Neopets has super strict chat rules, so i think it's a pretty safe site for kids.

Neopets was originally created for college students, but I am glad that even kids can play it

Pretty much the UC pets you see today were the ones that were unconverted. Everything else was done automatically by a certain day. I remember because I only converted 1 pet from the 3 accounts I had..a few days later all were converted except my mutant hissi and desert aisha. At the time i was going less on neopets and had stopped reading the news...so if they mentioned it in the news, I didn't know about it. I remember a few years back I was searching for images of the old UC neopets and I read a similar thing that Neopets automatically changed pets because they wanted people to use the NC mall

And there used to be a channel on justin.tv that played most of miyakazi's films pretty much 24-7 non stop...but something happend to his computer and since he hasn't come back to play them. that's how i was able to watch almost all of his films lol I deff want to buy them all when I have $$$$$.

Oh, good luck with Spanish :) I know how to read and write, I just need to improve my grammar and learn where the accent marks go. I was told that the hard vowels have accents, but I can't hear them :/
