One of my pets is level 103, and I've never caught a Titanic Giant Squid, much less gotten the avvie :/

I participated in two of the Cups, (VI and VIII) both with Moltara and this year I joined them again. I never were a really active player, just played a few games and that's it, but this year I'll see if I can make it to All-Star. ;) As far as I know and from what I've seen and read your rewards depend only on your personal contributions as Dawnshine stated. The only difference in joining a team that ends up winning is which your trophies you'll get.

 

Choose your team depending on what part of Neopia you like the most. I chose Moltara because I like Steampunk, fire, their colours and all that stuff. :P If you're still in doubt about which team to join you could always check out some of the Altador Cup guides and/or check out The Daily Neopets team information.

Aw man, I thought I had narrowed it down to Maraqua.. but I do love steampunk, so now I have Moltara to consider xD I think maybe I'll got with Maraqua this year and see how I like it... thanks for all the help and opinions guys!

Ah, alright, that is helpful! I'm thinking Shenkuu or Maraqua would be my main choices then...

Okay, so I don't really have an allegience to any specific AC team because I've been absent the past few years and when I was a kid I didn't get involved in the Cup much. My favorite lands are Shenkuu, Lost Desert, Maraqua, and Dargian Citadel. Faerieland too sometimes, I do really like their colors. I'm just curious, how do you all think I should pick my team? Does winning the Cup give the winning team anything extra besides bragging rights?

That's really weird. The only thing I can tell you is to check your inventory to make sure it isn't there. Is there any chance it got eaten by Turmy last time you visited him?

I think the limit exists to try and keep infaltion down? And probably scamming too.

I'd say there was something like a 1% chance of that score being real, but an account that was a week old? No way. I'd say report it from a side if you're worried about being frozen or anything, or from a shell account. Do not contact the user and do not post anything on neopets.

I don't understand the rage in this post. It's to keep scammers at bay who could try to make their username something like "neopetsteam" and try to trick others into giving them their account info.

As everyone else has said, zapping is one way to try and get your alien. But another way is to list yourself on sites that advertise people's dreamies. I personally am one of the people who zap pets and, when I get a good one, will look on these dreamie sites to see if anybody wants one. Then, I'll contact the person to see if hey're still interested. So you could look at the sites listed here at http://www.neopets.com/~rhikaciama and list yourself as wanting an Alien Aisha. You never know, someone might see you there and be willing to give you their pet!

I do for the first few days or so, mainly out of curiosity or an interest in what the new owner is doing to the pet. Ocasionally I'll check after that, but usually I feel assured that my pet is being taken care of because I create pets or take them in from the pound, zap them into a rare/good color, and then look on dream pet lits to send them to somebody who has always wanted this pet
