Yes but I find that they tend to be private guilds that you can't look up.

I was part of a few very nice guilds, but every time real life became too much and I got inactive, I'd find myself kicked out of the guild haha.

 

If you want to find a guild with a specific interest, try looking at high score pages for avatars, stamp collectors, etc, and find out which guilds the long-time neopians are part of. Those tend to have friendly, mature communities.

Basically what the title says. I have borrowed avatar items from TDP before, which I'm really grateful for. Now that I've found myself with an avatar pet, I'd like the chance to join in and become a lender. Is there a way for a regular member to do that?

I gave a sponge lupe to someone from a past guild a long time ago. They still have it although I think the user has quit neo by now.

But still, makes me happy that a lab accident managed to stay with someone for so long.

I started Breaking Bad recently and I've gone through half of the episodes now. It's seriously an amazingly well made show. I'm an extremely picky person with TV shows but Breaking Bad hardly has flaws I can pick up on.

I've loved the look of the Royal Girl Flotsam for a long time now. But since all the new paintbrush colors coming out.... Most of the woodland pets are really gorgeous too.

Saving up for nothing. I just like watching my bank account grow. :D

I was wondering, how high do you guys usually expect your stocks to reach before selling them? Because I'm usually pretty cautious and tend to sell once they double. I'm wondering how likely it is for them to reach, say 60 or something.

I just watched Les Misérables last week. Absolutely amazing, that's all I'll say.

Sorry I've been gone for so long. About Life of Pi, no it's not depressing deep. After I read it, I felt like it was something that was trying to depart a message but I'm not sure how I should interpret it and what it means...

 

On the other hand the story itself is also very entertaining.

Yeah I get it now XD. From the first post I thought pets only lose their clothing if they're abandoned, not transferred.

Guys, I just tried to do a pet transfer for the clothing with Emily and it turns out that clothing isn't transferred with your pet if it's not painted the same color as the clothing.

 

I'm sad to say this but this kind of destroys the purpose of the whole thread. XD

Just finished Life of Pi. Anyone else read it? I'm still digesting it, it was so deep.

Based on my personal experience, you can't use a tablet for actual computer work. I can only use it comfortably when I'm sitting back in a couch. They'll probably still be used as more versatile versions of clipboards, business people love it.

 

So tablets won't replace computers, they'll co-exist because people need the variety.

I only feel bad because of the things they say on the abandon button. neopets, stop giving virtual pets so much emotions!

For those using the slippery slope argument, many places have legalized abortion for decades, and we don't all kill babies for fun or have abortions on a whim. But it does cause a higher ratio of babies born to stable homes and less teen parents.

Does the owner do it often? Are the dyes harmful? Is the pet obviously stressed out and uncomfortable from it?

Every case is different, it helps no one to put a big "RIGHT" or "WRONG" label on an act that has so many possible outcomes.

 

Also I've never heard of people painting the nails of an animal before, does this happen to cats and dogs? Because you can hardly see their nails, I don't see the point.

I can't go through chick flicks.

 

Also there are comedies like "Bridemaids" that I absolutely do not get. They use a lot of slapstick, mocking ugly people, poop humor, etc. I didn't laugh a single time during the movie.

It's kind of an obsession. I see other people have it, so I want it too!

After WEEKS of work, I finally got these!

I was surprised by the poll results. I thought more people would be in favor of religion. Who knew :P

 

SO on to religion. People have basic instincts about the morals they follow. Religion is just a way for people to justify their pre-existing morals. So I don't exactly blame religion for people's cruelty, nor do I credit it when people are kind.

 

What religion does do, correct me if I'm wrong, is give one an ultimate authority to blindly follow. That's the part I have a problem with. It gives people an imaginary motivation to do things that religious texts say they should do, without questioning if it actually benefits anyone.

Like previously mentioned, the pope has been going around telling people to not use contraceptives because the Bible says they're wrong. Gay people have gone through so much crap because various religions says they're wrong, etc, etc.

 

People become BLIND when they think this authority in the sky is the one to dictate our morals. THAT is why I think we can be better off without religion.

I know it's silly, but my favorite Neopian item is the Vanilla Flavoured Borovan. I think it's really lovely!
