There is a Neopets game I remember, but I can't recall it's name. Essentially, the player chose a castle, placed treasure somewhere around it, and fired cannons at the opposing castle. Does anyone remember what game this is?

I've been trying to collect all of the worms but I can't seem to find three of them. Namely the Rainbow Worm, Black Worm, and Yellow Worm. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't all of the worms appear either in Moltara City or Moltara Caves? Has anyone else had this problem?

My pet got blurry vision, the only problem is that I don't have the 100K for people selling it. I searched the Trading Post, but everyone had crazy amounts requested like 350K. Besides visiting the Healing Springs every half hour, is there any advice for getting Extra Thick Goggles? I normally wouldn't care so much, but I want to be able to participate in the Battledome event that is happening in the next few days.

 

 

Thanks, that was really helpful! About the 4S being overrated, do you think I should just get a 4? I think the Iphone4 is free on a contract, while the basic 16GB 4S is $159 on a contract. Considering I probably won't get another phone for 3-4 years, is it not worth it to pay the $159 for the 4S, or is the difference really that minimal?

 

I don't need more than 16GB since I'll just have music on it, no videos probably, and I'm not going to put my whole music library on there either. I also don't care much for the camera. I would just use it to snap candid shots, and I'm not going to be picky on quality for that. I have a DSLR for when I need to take high quality photos.

 

I personally find the iPhone 4S to be overrated/not worth it, but you don't have to blindly listen to me if you don't want to. Let me explain the major (not pointless) differences between the two iPhone models.

 

The 4S has a revamped camera with HD video, but you the regular 4 has a perfectly good camera without HD, and I won't get technical. It also supports Siri, the virtual assistant for people who can't use any of Google's services without having a stroke. I've found it to be a novelty at best, and you'll probably just forget about it after a week. The two most important differences as far as I can tell are:

• A more powerful processor
  
• Longer battery?
  

For the sake of time, I refuse to get technical, but the 4S does have a faster CPU. If you are looking to run the latest and greatest apps without lag, go for it. On the sites I list below, they all state the 4S battery is more powerful. I'm not going to say they're lairs, but I did notice that my Dad (who upgraded from 4 to 4S through his work) spent just as much time with the battery dead on the 4S that he did on the regular 4.

 

If you're not getting another phone for 3-4 years, it is true the iPhone 4 will become obsolete before the 4S does. Frankly, I never saw the need to get it (remember, the jump from 3GS to 4 was big) and I would think before paying a premium for questionable longevity. Since I'm an extremely lazy person, I waited until about 11:50 PM to do my dailies. Everything went find, and a few seconds after I finished it turned midnight, so I figured "Why don't I do all the dailies again?" I was going through them, and when I went to redeem my daily prize for completing the Altador plot, a freak glitch happened. King Altador acted like I just completed the quest, thanked me, gave me the trophy again, and all of the prizes and neopoints. I checked, and didn't keep any of them, but when I went back to see again, it happened again. Since I prescribe to the "pics or it didn't happen" school of thought, here are the links, with the time stamp to prove it.

I'm a little confused about the post following this. How is this not a glitch? It says I'm getting neopoints that I didn't get and a trophy and several items in the same situation, all for completing a plot I did years ago, and in all my time using that daily this has never happened.

This is from a big android fan, so keep that in mind...

 

I'm fairly spoiled and big on technology, so I've tried practically every option available when it comes to smart phones. I would disregard Blackberries, because while they have their niche audience, its popularity is waning, and will soon be left behind by other phone models. I personally use a Droid HTC Incredible 1 running official version 2.3.4 (no root... for now), and I love it. I could never permanently switch to an iPhone of any kind. However, it is important to take into consideration a few things.

1. You said you were leaning towards the iPhone, that first reaction implies that is what you really want and would be most happy with.
   
2. It is a little difficult to understand droid phones if you haven't already used a smart phone or aren't abnormally tech savvy, and the iPhone is very user friendly.
   
3. If you're going to use the GPS and other such things, that will take up the battery quickly. I personally think iPhones have better batteries than Droids, since I can't last the day without a fairly bulky extended battery.
   
4. Where I live (in the mountains), Verizon is a must. It would be wise to consider different phone plans and coverage areas for Canada (I'm clueless).
   

 

In conclusion, I (as a devoted Droid user) strongly recommend that you get an iPhone. I really think that is the best choice. But I do think the iPhone 4S is overrated, so avoid that.

 

PS. Hopefully people don't think I'm a hypocrite for saying I prefer Droid and then listing reasons to get an iPhone. If anyone really wants to call me out on that and have that discussion, start a debate topic or PM me.

I don't get how my sister's blackberry works xD. But it's great for texting since you have a real keyboard. Better than a touch screen with a weird auto corrector if you plan on texting a lot.

 

In my opinion, I've found that physical QWERTY keyboards on phones tend to be two small for my abnormally large fingers. I find it easier to type on a digital keyboard. It could be that I just hardly ever txt anyone or use heavily abbreviated English, so I never really ran terribly afoul of the auto-correct.

The awkward moment when you accidentally withdraw a large amount of neopoints instead of depositing them, notice this five minutes later when you try to actually withdraw a small amount of neopoints, and freak out for half an hour about you're account being hacked before you figure out what's going on.

Ironically, I got a quest from the fountain fairy and didn't notice. The item only cost about 9K, so I guess I got lucky. When I completed it and found out, I kicked myself in a way, since there is no way to sell access to the fountain. After about an hour of deciding, I colored my Lenny pirate.

 

So while people have been waiting for years, I lucked into it even though I wasn't looking for it nor did I really want it. Weird.

I hope I'm putting this in the right place...

 

When someone posts an unreleased caption pic, or details to a new game that hasn't been released yet, how do they get this information (besides them being wizards)?

You would think that will all the maintenance that goes on, that could be addressed... 0_o.

Sadly it didn't work. It's pretty depressing for me since I'm not too rich (only 151K in the bank) and at 8 and a half years, I'm the poorest person I've ever heard of with such an old account. No matter, I'll just keep working at it. :rambo:

Can this post really be considered double posting? It was different from my last post, isn't my second post in a row without someone else spacing it out, and was responding to the advice of the person above me. It was more than seven words, and it wasn't irrelevant because I stated that the advise I received didn't work. I even made an effort to avoid posting twice by waiting to post until I verified it didn't work. While you could say I was trying to bump the post, I was. I just lost 15,000 NP, and I hope people see this so I have the highest chance to get help. I hope you, Neomysterion, read this to see that I don't believe this post should be considered double posting.

 

Neomysterion: First off, double posting is two posts that are right next to each other. If you are the last poster of the thread, and you post when no one else has posted after your last post, that is simply double posting simply to get your thread bumped to the top. I've been thinking about this for a while, and I've ruled out a random event, since I have a screenshot of the page right after the transaction, and there was nothing (besides, what kind of random event takes exactly 15K NP? Is there one?) I got the results of my ticket back, and all post the important(?) bits below for reference. Has anyone else hit an issue like this before?

Unfortunately we will not be able to give you an exact date of when this problem may be fixed (since any time frame is subject to change) but we are aware of it and appreciate your report!

I just sold 1000 shares at 17K NP each and I don't think I got any NP. I'm freaking out, is there anything I can do?

These links are a picture of the transaction and the screen immediately following it. I did wait a few minutes and refreshed multiple times.

Recently, I had a lot of trouble withdrawing a particularly fatal encounter with Punchbag Bob in order to finish my daily faerie quest. I went to the status page to withdraw, which the page said it did, but I was still unable to finish my faerie quest. I eventually had to remove and equip gear and go back to the status page to be successfully withdrawn. Does anybody know why withdrawing from the Battledome is so iffy? On some pages it claims to withdraw you from just visiting the status page while on other pages it says it could take awhile, up to a day.

Coming from someone who has never had more than 275K NP in his life, I would do one of two things:

1. Find a way to invest it so I could make more and more NP till I could pay of the US dept if the conversion rate was 1 Million NP:$1
   
2. Buy a bunch of codestones and dubloons, since they are the only items I've had my eye on in a while.
   

I guess I'm not very ambitious, seeing as I don't want to spend it on the Grimoire of Prosperity or something like that. :nerd:

Really the point I'm trying to make is that each person has a kind of limit on certain issues. When something becomes socially acceptable that you approve of that wasn't before, there's always the possibility that it could lead to other things that you don't approve of (like bestiality...). We don't know what the future hold, and I think its important that people not rush into things, especially because I'm not sure everyone (such as myself) knows all the implications/future events that can result from this. To me, its all about unforeseen consequences. I'm worried people might make the wrong decision without realizing it.

You have a good point. There's still that island on the top left side of the island saying "Keep off" or something like that. But for all we know it could be something completely different like introducing a new area, not very likely though :(.

But its all about what's socially acceptable. I would highly doubt anyone could have a marriage licence, tax benefits, etc. when married to a cereal box today. Besides, the event where a man married a character from a DS game was from Japan, the land of socially acceptability of weird things, like used underwear vending machines (which would probably be illegal in the US, but I'm no lawyer.)

I'm new to this debate for please excuse me for being ignorant of previous points or statements. I was wondering, if gay marriage was allowed and recognized, in a national or worldwide way, wouldn't that lead to a slippery slope of people being married to anything they're inclined to, such as animals, or people taking it to a semi-logical extreme and marrying a cereal box?

Really? I could have sworn that was over two years ago. I don't have a very good memory of these things. Sadly I didn't participate in that one but I do hope the next one has to do with the battledome more instead of puzzles. It makes a lot of sense that the next plot would involve the revealing of Lutari Island, but hasn't it been on the world map for several years? (Again, my memory could just be wrong) If TNT were going to do something with that wouldn't they have done it already?

Yea, that is a pity, especially since I never use or get any. The Expellibox is one of the most random dailies in terms or giving out NC. Do you think TNT is just waiting to release a new plot, or can't think of anything or something of that sort?

I understand that big plots are very rare and spaced out, but it seems to me that TNT should start a new one soon. The Altador plot is still open, and we have the Altador cups and everything, but it's been a number of years (I forget the specifics) since any big event like that and I'm hoping a new one comes out soon. Any thoughts?
