I'm as old as dirt.

Well, that's how I feel at times.

I'm a "Gen. X", put it that way. I grew up in the best decade for music, gaming, movies, fashion, toys...
So I know what a VCR is. I've still got one and VHS tapes to go with it. 
You kids think you have struggles, but you've never had to use a pen/pencil to fix a cassette when its tape has been pulled out. You've never had to carefully extricate the guts of a video tape from the heads of a VCR.  You've never had to sit up close to a tape deck, fingers poised ready to hit record when your fave song came on the radio, and got angry with family members who interrupted.
One of the most exciting things was when a new box of cereal arrived in the house, and you were lucky enough to be the one to delve into the bag in search of the toy that was lurking inside: a plastic reflector for your bike's spokes, a sticker or transfer, a few stickers.

I miss the '80s.
