  1. you have a tricky situation here, the pets`stat isnt balanced. I would avoid using the lab ray if you wish to upgrade the pet`s agi, defence, and strength in a balanced manner. The lab ray can bring pets level to 1, preventing you from training the pets strength, agility, and defence via training schools. I've seen claims that the lab wont bring your pets level to 1 if your pet reaches a certain level of some sort, but i dont know if that is true or not

    For the training school

You can increase the pets strength, agility and defence up to two times the pet`s level before having to increase its level to continue raising those 3 stats,

For hp, you can increase it to 3x your pets level, before having to increase level to further upgrade hp

In my opinion, if you want to increase the pets stats via training school, you should first increase the pets level to 40 (half the hp of your pet). Then upgrade Str, def, agi to 80, followed by upgrading hp to 120. Then follow this guide for stat distribution and training plans: http://battlepedia.thedailyneopets.com/index.php/articles/viewarticle/Fast-Training/ . Once the pet's stat has been rebalanced, you can consider labbing to hopefully reduce training costs.

  2. Imo, if a player doesnt have any special/expensive coloured pets, then having boochi zap isnt so bad. But if you spent millions or more on painting pets, only to get zapped, that might be a problem. Now, if you happen to not really care about colours, then whether boochi pays a visit or not doesnt really matter. If you want boochi as a battledome opponent, just getting the random event would be nice.

For myself, I dont really care too much about the multitude of colours for pets. I like to battledome occasionally, so I just like the random event, whether boochi zaps or not.

  3. for freezers, you could choose a 100% species freezer if you`re pet is of a certain species. Maybe a lenny 100% freezer? There are other options of course like for peophins, for chias. I would probably stay away from the 100% lupe freezer as it can break despite being a lot cheaper. In the long run, things breaking isnt too nice.

If you have a really high stat pet, with loads of hp, you might also want to consider species healers as well. things like Elephante Unguent, Kacheek Life Potion, Gelert Healing Remedy might be of consideration. Again, species requirement are embedded here, and there are other species healers as well, except some of them can get quite pricy.

If your pet has 201 or more agility, you could get a 100% stealer like Heavy Robe of Thievery instead of the purple sticky hand.

For blockers, you could also look at thick smoke bomb instead of Downsize Power Plus. Downsize Power Plus is really expensive for a single use item, thick smoke bomb is a whole lot cheaper as a complete alternative. The normal downsize is also good to look at, though it blocks 50% instead of 100%.

  4. So, I have adblock plus and element hider addons for firefox. I used the adblock plus to block the ads that shows up around neo, and I used the element hider well, to further enhance the adblocking experience. From what I`ve read before, using programs to gain an unfair advantage isnt allowed. For example, blocking images of the items you dont have intentions of restocking, or making programs that allows you to play neo without actually giving user input (botting).

Now, I play neoquest II. Apart form having the advertisements blocked, are players allowed to block the aesthetically appealing, but useless images of your characters (in battle, after winning battles, etc), the npc images. And how about using adblock plus to block the wait and flee button in battle (prudent nq players rarely use those options as they wont allow you to progress in the game). Last question: are we allowed to use element hider to hide what you consider useless moves because you would never consider using them (weapons can give bonuses in certain active skill like battle taunt)?

On one hand, it could be illegal as you are gaining an advantage over non addon users as you wont be seeing useless, redundant images, and moves you dont event want to make. Blocking the flee button and wait button will stop myself from clicking those buttons by accident, thus improving game play. Similarly, blocking the useless skills would be of some value as you cannot activate that move.

On the other hand, you are not hacking the game, nor are you really gaining the greatest advantage over other players. Game play in neoquest II would remain unaffected, except that you wont be able to flee battles until you re-enable the image for fleeing. Even then, the flee option is considered a liability for myself, rather than an asset.

So, can I get some input as to whether this is allowed or not?

  5. it depends how you interpret the premium`s benefit. If you just want it for no ads on neo, I would say it isnt worth it. Free addons for ff can block ads such as adblock plus. TDN also has guides on how to block ads on various browsers.

Since neo is a virtual world, spending real money on it doesn`t sound right. I admit, the ssw sounds useful, and they`re are other interesting stuff; but the question boils down to: are the things you consider useful bonuses from getting premium worth the expense? And if you intend to use premium in the long run, think about the yearly option as well.

There`s also opportunity cost. Instead of spending 7.99 a month on neo, you could spend it on something in the real world, deposit it in a bank, or slowly save up for some long term investment of some sort.

  6. yea, sounds like cookie grabbers and not really scamming. One rule of advice - avoid going offsite on any neo related pages as much as possible.

I would recommend getting addons firefox to prevent getting cged again. Mainly noscript and request policy. There are guides on how to use those 2 addons to prevent getting cged, but you will probably have to google it to find it.

  7. http://battlepedia.thedailyneopets.com/index.php/oneplayer/viewprofile/160/

That guide lists the weapons the meerca henchmen can use. Meerca henchman has 3 weapons, the rest being useless.

Meerca Brothers Glue - 3 earth, 3 light

Meerca Brothers Water Pistol - 5 wind, 5 phys, 5 water, can freeze

Hefty Loot Bag - 5 dark, 5 phys, blocks 5 phys

    starts with 175 hp.

Whats your budget for the bd set, and are you willing to use 1 use items?

  8. Im just going to take a random item from the shop. So, Quiggle Strongman sells for around 1.2k, npc store ask for 877. thats a 400ish profit margin. Now I can negotiate it down to 658 per unit. Since my rs style is mass buying, saving 200 np would basically mean a 200np extra profit per item, at the expense of more time needed to buy the items. Is it still worth it?

  9. winning it from neoquest II takes effort, and would probably take a long time, especially if you start from scratch. I think restocking or getting habi running would earn you enough np to cover it quickly

I agree with Xepha tho, its the lowest I can find at the moment. You could try negotiating with various sellers too. If I remember correctly, it was cheaper in a different time period, when many bd weps were deflated a lot. They were around 100k before.

  10. ask yourself some of these questions:

Is this bd pet for 1p or 2p? If its 1p, you can probably avoid caring about the league system people follow and look for high stat pets in hp, str, def, and 201 or more agi are good things to look for. The agi is for using the 100% stealer.

Are you going to train this pet? So, stat distribution can affect whether you can train a pet well or not. Lab ray pets tend to have unbalanced stats making them tough to train via training schools

What is your budget/bd equip for the pet? If you plan to use things like glowing cauldron or prickly/voidberry potion, strength doesnt matter as much. If you use many 100% icon blockers, defence matter as much.

The higher the hp, strength, defence, the better.

201 or more in agi is nice as well as it allows your pet to use the 100% stealer

Level allows you to train the pet more, allows you to bless the pet if needed.

  11. So, for low end items/stores where restocking is easy, and does not generate the highest profit margins, is negotiating with the npc worth it? I restocked from the card shop because Im a lazy and I'm not a speedy player. My negotiating abilities allow me to find the lowest price, and involves 2 negotiates, and 1 final move to actually buy the item. When I say 2 negotiates, I basically haggle with the npc twice to bring the asking price down close to the lowest asking price. I dont do haggling when a valuable purple or yellow or grey card appears tho.

    Whats your opinion?

  12. Late responses, but I was busy today

So, yea, Neomysterion we both have grey jetsams :P . I got the grey jetsam from a friend tho, so I didnt really earn it. Im surprised tho, you actually searched me up o.o . Nice meeting you :D

    Hey wistiria12,

Im not sure who Jeremy is in Phineas and Ferb, but from what I gather, its a character of some sort in that animated series. Of course, I have to ask, why do I resemble that character?

    Karina

We`re both very similar actually. I invest in the stock market because its a long term investment, and like you, I rarely cash in :( . I'll take a look at some c++ guides when I get the chance :P

  13. its economics really. When more forgotten shore map pieces are created because players do their dailies anchor management, the supply of the piece would continually to increase, causing the price of the map to diminish. However, there is a demand for these map pieces as the forgotten shore daily can be considered a long term investment that can provide np rewards like 2k or 5k. In the long run, the daily would pay for the cost of buying the map pieces, but it could take a while.

If tnt decided to tweak the probability of map pieces being created from the daily, then that could greatly affect the prices as well. And of course, we wouldnt know if tnt has plans to do such things.

  14. thanks for the welcomes! The only problem I have with most of tdn's guides is the lack of details. The material is decent as it provides a good general set of information covering basics and other important things to know, but the lack of details often force me to find other guides to further elaborate gaming strategies, and other details of interest. I would say tdn's guides are great for introducing yourself to new things, but it isnt exactly what would bring you to the advanced level.

So Zarii, is C++ the starting point for programming?

And Habi is back and running, rebuilding a habi is quite easy in general. Running habi in the long run can be tricky tho :(

  15. I would consider access to the forgotten shore a long term investment. The prizes are 2k or 5k, or maybe some item prize. Idk how to evaluate the item prize's value, but I would assume they would decline in value in the long run. The np you get would slowly pay off the cost of the forgotten shore map pieces. If you plan on play neo for much more than 375 days, you might break even the cost (assume 750k is the cost for all pieces, 2k/day).

The Grimoire of Prosperity would not generate any np and is something to factor in if np is tight.

Still, I dont know if its a good idea to buy the forgotten map piece, given that the present value of banking np now can outweigh the future value of what you will finally break even in 375 days later.

  16. I dont quit on kq on purpose. It does happen though, when browsers crash, internet disconnects, when emergencies come up, or when something like kq freezing up occurs.

I wouldnt recommend quitting on purpose at all. Even if you think the opponent acts like a sore winner by playing a power up on you when they are guaranteed a win. That would constitute as cheating, and more importantly, both parties would gain nothing from the kq games & both parties would be disgusted by each others behaviour. Some players play those power ups because they want to reinforce their win, and prevent a random event like a whirlwind from giving you a counter. For example, if both players had a full set of keys, but player A was 2 tiles away from the door while player B was 20 tiles away from the door, player A should still play their rainbow fountain key in the event that they roll a 1 and whirlwind occurs (this assumes that player b doesnt have a rainbow fountain key or distraction potion). Yes, some players play power ups out of spite, but some players just dont pay much attention to whats going on, and they still want to reinforce the win.

I find that if you tweak your computer, combined with the low res link, you can reduce lag & improve your kq gaming capabilities.

  17. Hi

I'm Jeremy, not much of an active player. I thought I would join the forums to learn from others and to maybe ask for advice later on. I like to run habi whenever I can, play 2 player kq games, and restock easy stuff. My store & restocking skills are not too great, but it suffice for my needs. Anyways, Im quite lazy now, just having my p3 earn np for me :P . Some of my hobbies include learning about different ways of doing things, and more importantly, finding better ways of doing things/achieving goals. So, for example, I would do research on multiple methods of reducing lag, or tweaking computers. I would love to learn programming too, but I dont know where to start.

Anyways, thats pretty much sums up myself

    Jeremy
