there's a "Faerie Quest Season"? I was wondering why i got so many a couple months ago...two of them were FFQ; i turned my Kougra candy and my poogle mutant.
-
no, Kiko Lake heard about this thread and decided to get me again lol

i pretty much have mine....I'm not changing my Eventide Aisha cuz i busted my butt for that Altador Cup prize (AC8 i believe...Eventide Paint Brush). I just managed to get my other dream pets this year: Magma Ixi (after FIIIINAALLLY catching the guard napping after all these years), a Candy Kougra (lucky enough to have the Rainbow Pool faerie answer a Grey Faerie's request), and a Mutant Poogle (can't remember if i got the potion or if that was another rainbow pool quest). Originally i had wanted a Faerie Lenny (love the peacock design), but i'm not as big on faerie pets as i used to be (my Kougra was faerie-type previously) so for my Lenny, i'd like it to be Steampunk. My Quiggle, i think burlap is cute, but that's a lab ray only thing and i really don't want to keep zapping it in the small chance it'll stay Quiggle AND turn burlap....maybe a Water Quiggle then? I haven't decided yet. Edit: Oil Paint and Swamp Gas are pretty cool Quiggle varieties. If I get another pet, I want a Vandagyre and if i do that, i like its Christmas, Chocolate, and Magma options.

the quickest way to cheer them back up after that is to take them to Roo Island and let them go on the carousel. It usually takes about 20 rides though to get a pet all the way up from 'depressed' to 'delighted!' so that's about 1K per pet

i don't carry anything anymore after the last time this happened. All I have out these days is an omelette or two cuz my Lenny won't eat Everlasting Apple. I had just taken my apple out of storage to feed my other pets and it got snapped up before i could put it back. Maybe i should just buy each pet an omelette each day to avoid that, but these random events are still unfair and annoying. Like i said, why give people the option of carrying things if they risk having them taken?
-
loved the Terror Mountain stuff and diamond items, didn't care for much else
-
its not the first Everlasting Apple i've lost to a random event, but this is the first time it happened while i was feeding them. i just don't get what they think these "randomly lose an item or thousands of neopoints" events add to the site. Why even give the people the option to carry items out in the open if you're just gonna randomly take them away? I have never thought those were cute or fun. lol
-
Can Neopets stop with this? This isn't the first time i've had my expensive items, particularly EVERLASTING APPLES, taken for no good reason. That's why i don't carry anything anymore. I had just taken my Everlasting Apple out of storage so i could feed my pets and THEY TOOK IT AGAIN!!! WHILE I WAS JUST IN THE MIDDLE OF FEEDING MY PETS!!! UGH.

i would've thought a "perfectly preserved diamond yooyuball" would be worth more than 60 points lol
-
i guess if Kiko Lake can be the smallest team and still win, maybe the scoring DOES have to do with average of active players versus sandbagging from inactive players? Edit: Anyway, as far as prizes, i was hoping for a better paint brush, but it does make sense since Terror Mountain were last year's winners. Now i'm not sure if i want the PB or the Snow Yooyu. Def getting the Prytariel action figure and team-centric gear Edit 2: Already have a snow PB in my inventory so i guess that settles that decision. lol
-
KIKO LAKE! First team to three-peat. I feel bad for Meridell though. They're usually one of the more consistently strong teams and this really seemed like their year. It also seems as though final rank was determined by bracket rank cuz thats how everyone fell down the line. I guess the initial round robin doesn't mean anything more than deciding which bracket a team falls into.
-
my account is old enough to drive and almost old enough to vote and i don't think i've ever really used the neoboards lol
-
a part of me keeps thinking that's the point. like, if people knew exactly how scoring works, they'd have better knowledge of how to tweak it. Although i can hear an argument for why NO ONE knowing how exactly it works is unfair.

male, female, or in-between, he did well and i support my fellow TM players

i'm still not sure about Scribbles though, even though i used a male pronoun with Scribbles in the past lol Either way, i'm glad my team did well and i don't regret staying loyal to Scribbles, even if Binary was the superior goalie. TM players unite.

but hey, at least you did your part
-
honestly, i'm kinda ready for it to be over too, but with so little time left, i still want to help my team out as much as i can.
-
its to be expected. thankfully, there are only about 2 or 3 more days left
-
that first round was for "ambitious newcomer". Froyo's been around for a while, at least for the last couple of tourneys. Edit: Although.....i think Scribbles is new as well and he had a much higher score than MissRainbow that round, so who knows with these people.....

well i didn't mean literally "always #1", just more along the lines of "He's always right up there"...usually with Dinksy, it seems

only 7 teams have never won before this year: Meridell, Brightvale, Maraqua, Shenkuu, Altador, Faerieland, Moltara. Three teams have doubled up: Haunted Woods, Tyrannia, Kiko Lake It seems like Meridell or Brightvale's year (unless KL spoils), so we could bring that group down to 6. I'm honestly surprised Maraqua and Meridell haven't won yet. Unfortunately, i think it'll take a lot for Altador, Faerieland, or Moltara to take it.

dropped DJ Skellington for Gutterfoot. Everyone else stays (if Scribbles weren't Terror Mountain, i'd have dropped him for Binary though )

Two break days in a row (my wrist thanks TNT)
AgJu replied to anapm.agostini's topic in Altador Cup (2020)
i'm perfectly fine with them disallowing that because it makes it feel like actual break days. if it was still allowed, people, such as myself, would still feel some sort of self-pressure to continue playing in order to rank up or get prize shop points. Its like TNT said, "No we're gonna make you actually RELAX this time." lol Although I suppose its moot, since allowing for break days would mean those who chose not to play wouldn't penalize their team anyway.... -
y'all's Elon is always at the top for goal-scoring though
