  1. SINGLE ROUND ROBIN AND 8/10 FINALS

This idea came to me first. More and more people want to contend for the championship, but don't want to spend forever playing. Unfortunately there are a strange number of teams, so the usual system of brackets (4/8/16/24) can't apply to 18. However what TNT could do is set a Single Round Robin in place, everyone plays each other once. Every game would matter because after the Robin ends, the Top 8 (not 4) teams enter the Championship Bracket. #1 Seed vs. #8 Seed, #2 Seed vs. #7 Seed, etc. Single elimination until a winner is crowned. Now because people would dislike the inability to play or having to rejoin a new team, TNT could set it up so that when a team is knocked out they play another team that was knocked out, if the #8 Seed is eliminated they would play the eliminated team from the #3/#6 match. Winners continue to advance while losers continue to drop. As for the remaining 10 teams, they too enter a bracket, but as I mentioned it wouldn't be a perfect bracket because of it's number, however should a team be eliminated from further advancement they could just play the Practice Team for prize points. Under this system, 8 teams stand a real chance of winning, just look at how the LA Kings won, #8 Seed, they won the Stanley Cup.

This is definitely what I want. I mean, this format would pretty much separate the "bad" teams with the "good" teams. So the AC will be more balanced. Aside from the random teams thing, I think this will do.

  2. Congratulations Mystery Island! :DD

    Really happy for you guys.

Anyway, I feel so.. dumb "insert adjective here" for thinking that Mystery Island won the cup. I mean, I knew that KD won it, but when I read the title, I was like, "WHAT, REALLY?!"

  3. My answers!

1: Was this your first year playing? If not, how many years have you played?

A: No, I've played in all the cups so far. Although I only took it seriously the past 2 years.

2: What place did your team finish on?

    A: 16th place.

3: What rank did you finish on?

A: Rank 9, just like last year. :P

4: Are you satisfied with your rank?

A: Honestly, No. Because I know I could have done better if I was just not lazy and if I just did not have school. But I'll take Rank 9.

5: What is your favorite and least favorite game? Are they the same as at the beginning of the cup?

A: As impossible as it may seem, my favorite game is Slushie Slinger. Least favorite is Make Some Noise. No, at the start of the cup my favorite was Yooyuball, and my least favorite was Slushie Slinger. But it all changed in the final round of the cup, where I was too tired to play against teams other than Kiko Lake, so I played a lot of SS and SOSD and actually learned to love SS.

6: How many games Of Slushie Slinger did you play? What was your highest score?

A: Exactly 100 games, my best is 668.

7: Did you ever make any stupid blunders while playing SS?

    A: Yes! Definitely.

8: How many games of MSN and SoSd did you play? What were your highest scores in those games?

A: Played 10 MSN games, peaked at 6,477. Played 1,00 SOSD games, my highest is 1,200.

    Yooyuball stats!

9: How many games did you play of YYB?

    A: 291 games.

10: How many goals did you score?

    A: 3,096 goals!

11: How many goals/saves did each of your team members score?

A: Mirsha scored 2,184 goals. Timu and Antola scored 295 each, and Larcy scored 322. While Xana made 442 saves.

12: Did you get any draws or losses? If so, how many?

    A: None.

13: What was the most amount of goals you got in 1 game? Least amount?

A: 15 goals, twice or thrice. Least is 8 goals.

14: What was the most frustrating ball for you?

A: Definitely the Darigan Yooyu. Although I always manage to score with it, or let the other team score for me.

15: Most frustrating player on your team?

A: Larcy. Yes, I scored a lot of goals with him too, but he just attacks all the time with Mirsha and then sometimes doesn't come back in defense. But I don't think it's his fault, I think it's mine! AHAHAHA.

    16: Most frustrating opponent?

A: No offence to Terror Mountain, but I just have to say each and every player in TM. Especially the goalkeeper. I like them, I actually almost played for them this year, but it's frustrating to play against them, since they're just too good and the colors can distract you.

17: Did you ever decide to switch the way you played? e.g: Did you ever switch from mouse to keyboard, or from playing on the left to the right?

A: Yeah, I switched playing positions to scoring to the left twice, but I changed back to my normal position afterwards.

18: Did you encounter any glitches? What were they?

A: Just one glitch for the whole cup. I was playing against TM (or at least I think I was), and I had a clockwork yooyu. I picked up an ice power-up, and the yooyu was almost gonna explode, so I shot the yooyu goal wards, but it ended up exploding in front of the goalkeeper. After that, for the whole game, the goalkeeper was in a block of ice, but was able to move.

19: Did any of you notice the funny comments the commentators would make at the end of the game?

A: Yeah, saying that either Timu, Antola, or Larcy played a bad game. Even if they scored like 1 or 2 goals. And saying that Xana had a bad game, even if she got a clean sheet.

20: Darigan yooyus are jerks. That is all.

21: Do you think I'm asking too many questions?

    A: Nope. I like answering!

22: Are you willing to answer more? :P

    A: YES! YES! YES!

    Random section!

23: Did you do something to distract you while playing, like listening to music or movies?

A: I don't think it can be called a distraction, but I usually play Owl City songs while playing YYB, that way, I end up playing a lot of YYB without even realizing.

24: Did you set playing goals for yourself everyday, or did you just go with the flow?

A: For the first two days.

    • 24.5: If you set goals, did you reach them?
A: I aimed for a rank a day, and was able to reach Rank 4 in 2 days, but after that, school started and I got so busy that I ended up in Rank 9.

25: Did you ever run out of momentum and wanna quit playing? If so, did you?

A: Yes, I did wanna quit playing after the 3rd round because I was sick playing the same teams over and over again, but I ended up not quitting and was actually able to put in a lot of games and ranked up four times in the final round.

26: How did you refresh yourself when you felt discouraged?

A: I just basically take a break if I feel tired. And continue playing afterwards.

27: If your team lost, how did you and your teammates feel? Hopeless and ready to quit, or hopeful and optimistic that you would do better?

A: Both hopeless and optimistic. I mean, the bracket system has been unfair to a lot of teams ESPECIALLY to Shenkuu. But we never lost heart, and kept on playing, achieving 3 near-sweeps in the final round or something.

28: Did you ever feel as if you were pressured too much by your team? Example: The team 'leaders; telling you to play x amount or not play at all, etc.

A: No, not at all. Everyone in the SK thread has been really nice and encouraging. The only pressure I felt was from myself really, not from anyone else.

29: Will you join the same team next year? Why or why not?

A: Yes, I'll definitely join SK next year. I feel like I owe them a good performance for slacking off this year, so I'll stick with SK for another year. If all goes according to plan, It will be my 7th year with SK next year.

30: last question. I promise!: Do you like questionnaires? :P

    A: YESSSS!!

Well, I'm glad that was over. It took me pretty long to answer this! AHAHAHAHA. xD

  4. In terms of personal achievements, I think It's a good year for all of us in SK.

Pretty disappointed about out rank, but I'm definitely looking forward for next year.

I feel like I owe SK a good performance since I slacked off this year, so I'm sticking with SK for another year for sure.

See you next year guys!!! :D

  5. Shenkuu placed 16th this year, with the bracket format. If the standings were calculated like years past, we placed 13th. In TDN's standings, which I think uses the point system (Win/Draw/Lose), SK placed 13th.

If you were to ask me, I think if SK only played all the teams, we would've placed at 8th-12th. In line with how we use to do for 2 years now.

  6. My final stats. I could really play more and reach Rank 10 but I don't have enough determination to do so.

I slowed down after the first 3 days so I only reached Rank 9.

  7. Thanks! Congratulations to you guys too! I'm not sure what you guys placed but either way I think everyone should be proud of their team. I can't speak for everyone but I'm definitely pretty glad we got out of that 7th place slot.

Yup. Definitely proud of my team for not losing heart after we got swept multiple times in the first two rounds and getting some decent wins in the final 2.

Pretty sure we finished 16th this year, that being said... it was a bad year for us.

  8. Congrats Minions! I'm a Shenkuu supporter, but I just can't stop admiring how dedicated you guys are to DC. It isn't something that you see everyday really.

I heard you placed 4th? I'm sure you guys are happy that you're no longer stuck at 7th. xD

Looking forward to a friendly competition between DC and SK next year. I'm pretty positive that we will no longer get swept. xD

  9. Can hardly blame it on the bracket system, Shenkuu has faced 12/17 teams and has lost to all of them except Terror Mountain. Clearly just not a very good team I'm afraid.

Clearly, we aren't as good as we were before. That's an obvious fact. We never won against Terror Mountain. It was Kiko Lake and Brightvale that we defeated. And what are those teams that we haven't faced? Altador, Moltara, Faerieland, to name 3 of the 5.

  10. I have likee twenty more YYB games until RANK 5 :D Soo happy.. that was the goal for this season :3

EDIT: Wow people have gotten to All Star, and I'm still at five ^^"

    You can do it! :)

I think what is important is that we're all happy with the progress (individual) that we made in this cup. Let's go Ninjas!

  11. Can't be more upset with Shenkuu's ranking.

I just can't stop complaining 'bout this bracket system. Since Round 1, it was never in our favor. We're at what, 13th place? And If it could have been a DDR or something more fair than the bracket format, we could be at 6th-8th place.

  12. Yeah! As if TNT wasn't racist enough with the Jelly Chias, they had to make us last! jk

You had to say it. Ahahaha.

I think I'm giving up on Rank 10. I'm about 40 YYB games away from it, but I've got tons of homework to do. Probably the extra day will help if it counts. But I'm contented with rank 9, a bronze shield.
