Maraqua, huh? Well, if you go fishing you can eventually get the giant squid. I wonder if the tentacles belong to a squid or some other creature.

 

There is an old story that talks about islands floating on the backs of sea turtles. Could Krawk be floating on the back of a squid? Naah. :sad01_anim:

I wonder when we will know for sure. It seems to do the tentacles without a plot would be silly. Maybe we will find out on Monday. Although things seem to switch on Wednesdays. <_<

I hope they do a plot. I did AC, but I enjoy plots more. If it more like the tdf plot, even people who are burnt out would be able to play at a later time. I know that wouldn't make the BD players happy, but I would enjoy it either way. I have one pet in bd training, but I love the puzzle plots.

Maybe they are thinking like a drowning victim on bad tv shows? Comes up to the surface just to sink again and disappear into the abyss.

I am hoping for a plot that has a mix of thinking and BD. I think we may have to fight the monster in the end either way.

I was finally able to get my altador plot prize for the day. I wonder why I wasn't able to before. I hope the new plot has some good prizes. I would love a pirate or maraquan pb. o_O

 

Just had another thought. Did anyone notice that one of the more recent morphing experiments was tentacles? Could that have been a hint? I got a background, foreground, and hat, all tentacles. (These tentacles are green though.)

Well, I just tried to get my altador plot prize for the day. No good. I think they finally closed that plot for this new one. I wonder when it is going to start.

I guess I need to stop spending my np on the wheel of extravagance and worry more about my stats. :S I was getting dizzy anyway.

That is sad. :( Last year you didn't have to spend real money. Oh, well.

Do you think they will hand out prizes throughout AC like they did last year for reaching certain goals? What do you think they will give? What do you think the goals might be?

This is my second year playing. I am with MQ this year. Swimming makes you more powerful. I do "practice" if you call going for the np practicing. :P

Okay, found out a brand new discovery:

 

If your team is 6 points ahead, then the computer players will get smarter. They'll start chasing you around more, and steal the ball out of you like crazy!

BUT! If you're 11 points ahead, the opponent gets a major speed boost, almost to the point that they'll start scoring on you just to the purpose of annoying you.

 

Is anyone else following this trend, or is it just me?

 

I hadn't noticed. I went back and played some more after you mentioned it, though. I think you are right. I was getting annoyed with them stealing the "ball" constantly. It is annoying, but it did make me pass more which helped avoid the stealing. I just wish you could pick which player becomes activated.

While YYB is more difficult to play, I have found that with practice I am beating any of the scores I was able to get last year. Don't forget to grab the power ups when you can. (I just hope that when real play starts, the other team will not be able to get them. The practice team leaves them alone.) I have played 7 times I have won six games and played to a draw with the first one. Another thing I found helpful was to not use the two in front, two in back starting positions (That is the one that I played to a draw.) The best for me was 3 in front and 1 behind. I just hit 12 goals this morning!

Not so sure I want to participate now that they've screwed uo YYB! :grrr:

It does get better with practice. I just scored 8 goals...I have never been able to score 8 goals. Last year I was lucky to get 3-4. The trick is to get really close to the goal before you hit the space bar. You may also have to move up or down to get away from the goalie.

I chose team Maraqua this year. Swimming through water to practice only makes us stronger! :P

Which to choose? This will be my second year. I didn't pick a very good team last year, probably because I needed some advice. Which team should I pick? Why? Here are the ones I a currently drawn to: Maraqua, Darigan, Kredulor, and Shenkuu. A strange mix I know, but...Please help.

Finally a slorg that doesn't look slimy. I wouldn't mind having that one. ;) I really like the seti. It is kind of a mix between royal and desert. Cool.
