<img src="https://images.neopets.com/items/tiki_boat2.gif" alt="Boat" style="float:left;margin:5px;" />You know something Edgar? This desk smells like tears, misery, and egg salad. In fact, I think we should go sailing off the coast of Lutari Island. We could eat crumpets, and sip orange juice from a carton. We could parade around the shores wearing crowns and robes; we’ll be kings for a week! Just imagine it Edgar, we wouldn’t tell anybody about it…

[off camera] *chuckle* So uh, who’s Edgar?

Been listening in on my little conversation have you? Well I’ll tell you something, you can go ahead and take that hideous cameraman attitude out of my face and shov-

We are rolling! Right! Just kidding everyone, you know me, totally kidding.. I love cameramen actually, so marvelous and talented. Just great-

Right! As you are all aware I so happen to be your hunk of a host for the Day 21 results of the Altador Cup. That’s right, it’s Smokey. Now let’s get to those results!

Kicking off our coverage this evening is the match-up between Kiko Lake and Krawk Island. To the surprise of no one Krawk Island took wins in every game aside from Shootout Showdown, which went to the Kikos. Despite a remarkable first round finish, Kiko Lake has had quite a struggle maintaining their momentum into the second round. Hopefully things pick up for them tomorrow against fellow competitors Roo Island.

Well it appears that Darigan has nearly swept our friends of Mystery Island. However, there is a twist! You ready for it? Mystery Island has managed to draw with the Citadel in Yooyuball! But don’t get too excited yet Islanders, Darigan has in fact managed to sweep the side games. Both teams walk away with a sort of bittersweet result from the day’s match-up.

Now onto the Roo Island, Lost Desert showdown. Although Lost Desert has seen improvements lately, today it appears to have been not enough. Roo Island took a win in Yooyuball and Make Some Noise, while Lost Desert squeezed in a Slushie Slinger win as well as a draw in Shootout Showdown. Lost Desert now sits in 13th place in the standings, a definite improvement, despite today’s loss.

<img src="https://images.neopets.com/altador/altadorcup/2011/teams/moltara_1.gif" alt="Aldric Beign" style="float:right;margin:5px;" /> Next come some results for the match-up between last year’s consolation bracket contenders, Altador and Moltara. After a close match-up it appears as though Moltara has emerged victorious, taking wins in Yooyuball and Shootout Showdown. However, Altador wouldn’t let them get away with a clean sweep. Instead they took wins in both Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise. It is important to note that, despite their victory, Moltara still sits in 18th place. Hopefully today’s win can give them the boost that they so desperately need. Aldric Beign of Moltara had some words for us after the match.

“A win is a win!” states team captain Aldric Beign. “Our fans needed this, and so did we. Today it was for them. Team Moltara has had another rough year, but our drive has only increased, today I believe we showed that against Altador.”

Truly wonderful for them, really. I personally just get so amped up whenever a smaller team can pull off-

[off camera] Alright Mr. Smokey, enough with this charade! It’s on everyone’s mind so I’m going to address it. Who, for the love of Coltzan, is Edgar!? Perhaps an imaginary friend of yours, or maybe your hallucinating again, like the time you ate three pur-

Edgar is neither an imaginary friend nor a hallucination, thank you! And I do not feel the need to discuss his whereabouts to you! Like I said earlier, you can take that hideous cameraman atti-

There I go again, joking. Oh the hilarity of it all. For a moment you all thought I was serious… fools. I mean back to the results!

Kreludor and Haunted Woods had an interesting match-up today. Kreludor picked up wins in both Yooyuball and Shootout Showdown, while Haunted Woods managed to steal wins in Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise. For Kreludor this was undoubtedly a much needed push in the right direction. But don’t forget about Haunted Woods either. They have really managed to remain a contender in this year’s cup, and simultaneously maintain a sense of surprise.

Up next on the Day 21 results is Faerieland squaring off against Shenkuu. Unfortunately for our pink and green friends the Ninjas took off with wins in both Yooyuball and Make Some Noise. Which left the Faeries to take Slushie Slinger, and Shootout Showdown. This season has not been overly kind to either of these teams, hopefully they can pick it up before finals begins.

<img src="https://images.neopets.com/altador/altadorcup/2011/teams/maraqua_3.gif" alt="Lamelle Turow" style="float:left;margin:5px;" /> It’s fair to say that Maraqua gave Tyrannia a thorough beating in today’s match-up. Maraqua dished up wins in both Yooyuball and Shootout Showdown, which left only draws for Tyrannia in Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise. Both teams have been dealing with a fair share of misfortune as of late. However Team Tyrannia just isn’t making it happen in this second round. They have yet to win a second round match, and unfortunately winning against Maraqua today was crucial to restore some morale. A Fossil fan had a few words for us outside of the colosseum.

“Kick a dog when it’s down eh?” says one Tyrannian supporter. “That’s what today’s loss felt like. All respect to Maraqua, but we needed this win. Hopefully we can pull out a win against Lost Desert today and get back into our rhythm.”

Meridell continues their heat streak! Which means victory over Terror Mountain. Unfortunately for the Chillers, Meridell plundered a win in Yooyuball and a draw in Slushie Slinger, leaving Terror Mountain with wins in both Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown. Meridell is a team to watch folks, simple as that. With only two decisive losses in Yooyuball I wouldn’t be surprised to see this team take the whole thing. But for now we can only watch and wait patiently.

Last but not least is none other than the match between Brightvale and Virtupets. One team is in 1st on the standings and the other is in 14th. You do the math and it calculates to a decisive win for Virtupets. However Brightvale had other plans, which included one very solid win in Yooyuball. That’s right folks Brightvale has upset the Space Station. Virtupets did manage to sweep the side games but it just wasn’t enough for the win. A big congratulations to our friends from Brightvale!

    brightvale_group.gif

Tomorrow’s matches to watch include Haunted Woods squaring off against Meridell. Both teams are real contenders this year, and both have the ability of surprise. Add it all up and this creates one very interesting match-up, don’t miss it. Another one to watch is the Kiko Lake, Roo Island match. Kiko Lake has been very unpredictable this season and has been creating trouble for many strong teams. Look for the Kikos to create some problems for Roo Island tomorrow. As always tomorrow looks to be quite an interesting day of competition.

<img src="https://images.neopets.com/items/petpetpet_1.gif" alt="Edgar" style="float:right;margin:5px;" /> [static] Ahh there you are! I was afraid I had sat on you. See he’s real! My dear friend, Edgar. I found him on the bush outside of the colosseum. We got to talking and he’s agreed to come sailing with me and be the best man at my wedding!

[off camera] Wait are you serious? That’s a Mootix.

    His name is Edgar.

[off camera] And hes agreed to go sailing with you?

    Right.

[off camera] And hes agreed to be the best man at your wedding?

    Right.

[off camera] And eat crumpets, sip orange juice from a carton, and pretend to be kings of a random island for a week.

    It’s not pretending, but right.

[off camera] Right… So when are you guys leaving?

Right now! Off we go onto a crumpet eating, juice sipping, king parading, sailing adventure! Wait! I almost forgot!

This is Smokey, LIVE in Altador. Until next time…

    You stay classy, Neopia.

<img src="https://images.neopets.com/items/bd_ixiscrown.gif" alt="Crown" style="float:left;margin:5px;" /> Good day to all of you dashing young faces of Neopia. As you are all aware I, like usual, am your mesmerizing host for today’s results, call me Smokey. Now im certainly not about to beat around the bush on this one. Yes, this is a crown on my head. Why? You ask? Well let me answer your question with another question. Why does every other king get a crown except for me? So take some time to ponder that one and get back to me whe-

[Off camera] *snicker* “King of what?”

King of my own intuitive presence, of course.

[Off camera] ”But, uhh that makes absolutely no sense.”

I don’t expect you to be on par with my level of intelligence, foolish cameraman. I come from an elite family of scholastic scholars. I cannot blame you for your ignorance of pure wisdom. Anyways we have some results to be tending to! Here come your Day 12 results!

Kicking off tonight’s coverage is the match-up between Roo Island and Altador. Well, no surprises here to see the Rooligans claiming wins in Yooyuball, Make Some Noise, and Shootout Showdown. Leaving Altador to claim their usual win in Slushie Slinger. It seems as if the Roos have been on a bit of a winning streak the past several days. Hopefully this will inspire our colorful friends to keep the spirit alive for the rest of the competition.

Up next is none other than the Kiko Lake, Maraqua showdown. Unfortunately for the Kikos it appears that their efforts just weren’t enough today to gather a win. Maraqua takes Yooyuball and Slushie Slinger, while Kiko Lake takes Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown. With their win today Maraqua now sits in 4th place, giving the team both a great boost of positivity and excitement.

It looks like the match-up between Krawk Island and Mystery Island has ended in a sweep. That’s right folks, Krawk Island picked up wins in every event, leaving the Islanders empty handed. Krawk Island has made it fairly clear that they want nothing more than to get back in the top four, and with today’s victory over Mystery Island I’d say they are on the right track to doing just that.

<img src="https://images.neopets.com/altador/altadorcup/2011/teams/lostdesert_1.gif" alt="Luvea Trivon" style="float:right;margin:5px;" /> Yet another sweep has occurred today. This time in the Lost Desert, Moltara match-up. To the shock of many, Lost Desert seems to have woken up a bit, claiming wins in every event. Moltara has really lost a lot of its luster since defeating Altador, and it shows in the daily results. Now onto a more positive tone, with their victory, many fans now hope that a new chapter has opened for the Lost Desert crew. Hopefully for them they can use some of that champion wisdom to keep the sweeps rolling in.

While we are on the subject of wisdom, I’d just like to note that I, your handsome host, happen to be very knowledgeable on many different levels. Sometimes I just say things that go over the common mind. So do forgive me for my elite form of intelligence which is so palpable and stupendous that any scholast-

[Off camera] “Oh for crying out loud! Mr. Smokey, everyone here knows that you have two brain cells whom are fighting each other in that thick skull of yours! What are you playing at!?”

*gasps* I have never! I refuse to sit here and be disrespected by lowly cameramen! I am going on strike!

    [Exits abruptly]

    [2 minutes pass]

[static] Fine! I’ll go, where’s my crown? I need my crown people! That’s better. Welcome back everyone after that rude, unprofessional interruption. For those of you concerned, I think I’m going to be alright. Stop worrying about your hunk of a host and let’s get back to those results!

The third sweep of the day came from the match between Shenkuu and Kreludor. That’s right everyone, Kreludor has turned a two day sweep streak into a three day sweep streak, picking up wins in every game. In claiming this victory Kreludor now sits comfortably in first place on the current standings. Shenkuu has to be down at this point, considering they have lost to 8 of the 12 teams that they have already faced. We can only keep our fingers crossed that things get better.

<img src="https://images.neopets.com/altador/altadorcup/2011/teams/meridell_0.gif" alt="Yoris Obbles" style="float:left;margin:5px;" /> A bit of a surprise came from the Virtupets, Meridell faceoff today. To the shock of many, Virtupets received their first loss of the season in Yooyuball. Unfortunately for the Space Station, Meridell took wins in everything aside from Make Some Noise which went to Virtupets. Meridell is certainly a team to watch this season as they have managed wins against teams like Darigan Citadel, Terror Mountain, and now Virtupets. Who knows what the rest of the competition has in store for the Knights.

Yet another surprise has occurred in today’s results. Haunted Woods has defeated Terror Mountain, taking wins in both Yooyuball and Make Some Noise, leaving both Slushie Slinger and Shootout Showdown to go to draws. Terror Mountain has had a pretty stellar year so far, but taking a loss to Haunted Woods like this has got to hurt team morale. On the other hand, Haunted Woods couldn’t be happier with their win against the Chillers. Goalkeeper Fanetti of Haunted Woods shared his excitement with us.

“Can you believe it!?” cheered Fanetti of Haunted Woods. “We upset Terror Mountain! It’s hard not to be so excited about this win because we have been working so hard. I’d just like to thank our fans for their endless support. This wouldn’t have been possible without you.”

The Brightvale, Faerieland showdown ended well for those in green and yellow. Brightvale swept the side games and took a draw in Yooyuball. Faerieland has been specializing in side games so far this season, and that’s where the majority of their wins are coming from. In order for the Faeries to move beyond 14th place they will really need to dig deep and pick up a few more Yooyuball wins.

<img src="https://images.neopets.com/altador/altadorcup/2011/popups/darigancitadel/logo.png" alt="Darigan" style="float:right;margin:5px;" /> Now to the one everyone has been waiting for. The Tyrannia, Darigan match-up had to have been the most exciting of the day. Fortunately for Darigan they walked away victorious, taking wins in Yooyuball and Make Some Noise. This left Tyrannia with a win in Slushie Slinger and a draw in Shootout Showdown. Many Altador Cup enthusiasts were doubtful whether Darigan could handle team Tyrannia after their recent losses. Tonight they have been proven wrong, and fans of the Citadel have never been more alive.

“Who's next!?” yelled one fan. “This one was for all the doubters. Darigan eats doubters for breakfast. Our power as a team has never been more prominent than it is tonight!”

Among tomorrow’s match-ups to watch is the Shenkuu, Lost Desert faceoff. These two teams have really struggled this season and tomorrow they go head to head. Also, watch Lost Desert to be gaining momentum after their first sweep of the season. In addition to that, tomorrow is the Haunted Woods, Darigan Citadel match-up. Despite the fact that Haunted Woods is easily the underdog in this match, they are also coming off of a win against Terror Mountain with high spirits. Look for a few surprises here.

<img src="https://images.neopets.com/items/clo_blumaroo_pitchfork.gif" alt="pitchfork" style="float:left;margin:5px;" /> Whats that? I’m receiving some last minute word of raging fans in the streets of Altador. It seems that Yooyuball has been all thrown off, denying fans to support their teams in today’s match-up. We can only hope that TNT management is working to fix this issue before the situation escalates any further. Until then put a helmet on and avoid the pitchforks!

No, no that’s not a tear; I just got some hot sauce in my eye.

[awkward laugh] What kind of a man cries? Certainly not me, nope. Never in my whole life. That’s the essence of a man for you.

This is Smokey, LIVE in Altador. Until next time…

    You stay classy, Neopia.

  3. I generally skimmed the majority of the summaries so far this year, but wow, it's not because of my team's results today..... you are a really good writer, Smokey ^_^.

Anyways, I'm really surprised we brought the broomstick out against Roo Island. We were ticked about the loss against Krawk Island, and we played really hard, but didn't expect to be a blowout. Great effort from RI though, they gave us a run for our money!

Thank you so much! I try my best. You should read some paragraphs out of the other reporters though. They put me to shame with their grammar and vocabulary. I try to make up for it though however I can. I appreciate the compliment! And best of luck to Terror Mountain!

<img src="https://images.neopets.com/items/groom_star_shampoo.gif" alt="Shampoo" style="float:left;margin:5px;" />Greetings once again to all of you delightful citizens of Neopia. As always I’m your ravishing host for the Day 8 results of the Altador Cup, the name is Smokey. Now as many of you are aware, I recently switched brands of shampoo, so I hope that my hair looks just as brilliant as always. Besides that I got a pedicure from the local mas-

[Off camera] “Uhm, Mr. Smokey, no one cares about your pampered feet! Get on with the results will you? We are LIVE!”

Well I beg your pardon, but you sir are FIRED! Someone escort this unprofessional fool to the parking lo- What’s that? Boss? My boss? Oh but of course totally joking sir, don’t you look absolutely marvelous today. Ahem, right onto the results…

Word is just now coming in from the Altador, Virtupets match-up. It sounds like Virtupets are the obvious winners here, claiming wins in Yooyuball, Make Some Noise, and Shootout Showdown. However, Altador didn’t leave empty handed; instead they took a win in Slushie Slinger. Altador fans couldn’t be happier picking up a win in Slushie Slinger, progress is progress after all.

Well, fans of Shenkuu are going to be rather bummed about this next bit of news. It appears that Haunted Woods nearly swept Shenkuu in today’s match, taking wins in all of the side games and drawing in Yooyuball. Having been swept by both Darigan and Maraqua the past two days I think it’s safe to say that Shenkuu is having some troubles finding their groove. Unfortunately today’s loss only further complicates things for our friends in red and gold.

Some might be interested to know that Tyrannia has managed a clean sweep over Mystery Island. This makes two sweeps in a row for Tyrannia, with four total sweeps so far this season. Tyrannia is an undeniable powerhouse and anyone who questions that needs only to take a good look at the standings. Tyrannia now sits comfortably in 2nd place just behind Darigan.

<img src="https://images.neopets.com/altador/altadorcup/2011/teams/terrormountain_1.gif" alt="Prytariel" style="float:right;margin:5px;" />I am afraid to report that the sweepings aren’t over yet folks. It appears that Terror Mountain has managed a full sweep on fellow competitors Roo Island. What seemed like an interesting match quickly turned into no contest. Terror Mountain took wins in every game, leaving Roo Island out in the cold. We got a quick word with team captain Prytariel of Terror Mountain.

“We’ve never felt more optimistic as a team.” Prytariel tells us. “We came out today with our heads held high and our real talents showed. Sweeping Roo Island is an achievement for sure. They played well, and really made us work for it. ”

A bit of an interesting result came from the Kiko Lake, Brightvale match-up today. Brightvale took a win in Yooyuball, which left Kiko Lake to take all of the side games. Kiko Lake sure seems to have gained some much needed momentum after yesterday’s win against the Faeries. Who knows what is yet to come from these swamp dwellers.

Now onto some results from the match-up between Meridell and Faerieland. It seems that Meridell nearly swept our Faerie friends today, picking up wins in every game aside from Shootout Showdown, which resulted in a draw. Not too many surprises here but hopefully Faerieland can pick themselves back up and start to do a bit better in the side games once again.

<img src="https://images.neopets.com/altador/altadorcup/2011/teams/moltara_3.gif" alt="Vere Polnicek" style="float:left;margin:5px;" /> Wow, there seems to be a slight uproar coming from the Colosseum as the results for the Darigan Citadel, Moltara match-up is released. Looks like Moltara has managed to end Darigan’s sweep streak, but barely. Moltara takes a draw in Slushie Slinger and Darigan takes everything else. Darigan has yet to face a top tier team, which leaves us all wondering what is yet to come from these dark demolishers. However, some Moltaran fans have taken to the streets in celebration over their draw.

“We ended the Darigan sweep streak” one fan says. “Never underestimate an underdog. Or anyone else for that matter. Although it is only a draw, we are just so ecstatic that it is not a sweep.”

The sweeps just keep rolling in here on the Day 8 results. Maraqua has completely swept Lost Desert, taking wins in every event. Some thought that Lost Desert would regain its confidence after beating Tyrannia in Yooyuball, however that theory seems to be incorrect. Lost Desert has possibly the worst case of the “winner’s curse” that we have ever seen. We can only hope that they improve, but for now they sit at 16th on the standings.

Now for the big one. The Krawk Island, Kreludor showdown proved to be the most shocking result of the day. The result was a sweep, in Kreludor’s favor. What many fans expected to be a tight race soon turned into possibly the most shocking result of this season’s competition so far. We can only hope that Krawk Island can get back up after this critical blow.

<img src="https://images.neopets.com/altador/altadorcup/2011/popups/darigancitadel/logo.png" alt="Darigan" style="float:left;margin:5px;" /><img src="https://images.neopets.com/altador/altadorcup/2011/popups/krawkisland/logo.png" alt="Darigan" style="float:right;margin:5px;" />Among tomorrow’s match-ups to watch are Moltara versus Faerieland. These are two little teams who so desperately want to make a name for themselves in this competition. Anything could happen in this one, we will just have to wait and see. The match-up everyone is already buzzing about is that of Darigan and Krawk Island. These two heavy hitters want it more than ever this year. This will be Darigan’s first match against a real powerhouse, and is sure to be a real test to their strength. I am sure that we all can hardly wait for the Day 9 results.

This is Smokey, LIVE in Altador. Until next time…

    You stay classy, Neopia.

<img src="https://images.neopets.com/items/pizza.gif" alt="Pizza" style="float:left;margin:5px;" /> [static] Yeah, pizza. Who do you think I am? Let’s go, just around the corner, I’m starving over here. Altador Cup? Hah! Funny one, I came here for the- Huh rolling? We’re rolling?

Greetings to all you good looking people of Neopia! Now I’m aware your all probably wondering who this ridiculously charming, incredibly handsome reporter is. I know, I can’t help but to stare either. You can call me Smokey, and I am coming to you LIVE from Altador.

Ahem, now onto the day seven results of the Altador Cup. It appears that we have a clear winner in the Virtupets versus Lost Desert match. Not too much of a surprise here to see that Virtupets nearly swept last year’s champs, taking Yooyuball, Make Some Noise, and Shootout Showdown. Leaving Slushie Slinger to go to a draw. After yesterday’s much needed win against Tyrannia, many hoped that the streak would continue for Lost Desert. However after a thorough beating from Virtupets who knows where morale is at for these former champions.

A bit of a different mood is now sweeping fans of Darigan Citadel. It seems that they managed a clean sweep today against Shenkuu, with Darigan taking wins in every game. Shenkuu has had a rough start in this year’s competition losing to the majority of the teams they have faced. We hope to see Shenkuu gain the wind in their sail’s that they so desperately need.

<img src="https://images.neopets.com/altador/altadorcup/2011/teams/krawkisland_4.gif" alt="Zayle Sufhaux" style="float:right;margin:5px;" />I am getting word that results for the highly anticipated Terror Mountain, Krawk Island match-up are now available. Wow, it looks like Krawk Island won this one fair and square with a win in both Yooyuball as well as a draw in Shootout Showdown. Leaving the Chillers to pick up a win in Make Some Noise and Slushie Slinger. Now sitting at 5th place on the standings, Krawk Island is really going to have to pick up the pace on their slushie slinging ability if they hope to get back into that coveted top tier.

All this talk of slushies is making a fella thirsty… Hey kid! Gimme that! [thump]

[hysterical crying] Oh for crying out loud, why don’t you man up you little chump.

    [slurp] Ahh that’s the stuff…

Oh! Right! Back to the results. Before we were so rudely interrupted *cough* whiny little brat *cough* I received word on the Roo Island, Moltara showdown. This turned out to be a decisive win! And you’ll never guess who won! Just kidding actually, Roo Island won… [silent whimper]

Roo Island managed to pick up wins in Yooyuball, Slushie Slinger, and Shootout Showdown. However, Moltara stood up and took a win in Make Some Noise. This ended their three day sweep streak. So congratulations to both teams… I guess.

Unfortunately I have a spot of bad news… you ready for it? Okay here we go, I am currently seeing someone… Hah! You all fell for it didn’t you!? Don’t go beating yourself up now, I’m only kidding. Actually if you’re on team Brightvale just go ahead and stay sad because unfortunately Kreludor has claimed victory in your match-up. Its true folks, Kreludor managed to sweep our friends from Brightvale. Brightvale must remember to stay chipper if they wish to get right back into the top ten teams. For now they sit at 11th on the standings.

<img src="https://images.neopets.com/altador/altadorcup/2011/teams/maraqua_4.gif" alt="Barit Jowes" style="float:left;margin:5px;" /> I think it’s safe to say that both Maraqua and Haunted Woods have been interesting teams to watch this season. However, today one of them stepped up and took home the win. Congratulations to Maraqua, who took a win in both Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise. Which left the two to draw in both Yooyuball and Shootout Showdown. Team captain of Haunted Woods, Krell Vitor, had a few comments about the match-up.

“It’s frustrating.” states Krell Vitor of Haunted Woods “We were really hoping to come out here today and show Maraqua what we are made of. Today it wasn’t enough. We have amazing fans, and we appreciate their loyalty in our worst of days. Things will get better. ”

Not too many surprises in the match-up between Tyrannia and Altador. The Fossils manage to pick up a win in every game, performing a flawless sweep. Unfortunately for Altador they have now hit rock bottom in 18th on the standings. However, if Altador can manage to pick up a win/draw here and there they could be able to pass by Moltara with ease.

Here are some results for the Mystery Island, Meridell match-up. It appears that Meridell has been crowned victorious in this one. Meridell claimed wins in every game aside from Make Some Noise, which resulted in a draw. Mystery Island has been rather hit or miss thus far in this year’s competition and the fans aren’t quite sure what to make of it.

<img src="https://images.neopets.com/altador/altadorcup/2011/popups/kikolake/logo.png" alt="Kiko Lake Logo" style="float:right;margin:5px;" />"It seems as if every other day we lose, and every other day we win." says one fan. "It’s rather unstable, but hey, at least we’ve got a few wins under our belt. Who knows what the competition has left in store for us."

Last but certainly not least on the Day 7 match-ups is Kiko Lake and Faerieland. Many Altador Cup enthusiasts were rather surprised by the result on this one. Kiko Lake actually pulled off a win here, by the skin of their teeth, mind you. But a win is still a win! The pair drew in every game aside from Shootout Showdown which went to the Kiko’s. Congratulations to Kiko Lake on a deserved win.

Tomorrow’s lineup is sure to bring some very interesting results! Make sure to watch the Kreludor versus Krawk Island match. Not only are these two of the strongest teams in the competition, but they are both neck and neck in the standings as well. With Kreludor in 4th and Krawk Island close behind in 5th. Don’t forget about the match-up between Roo Island and Terror Mountain either. Although Roo Island has had somewhat of a tricky start they are still a team to be taken seriously. All Terror Mountain has to do is underestimate, giving Roo Island a clear shot at an upset. As always I’m sure that the Day 8 results will be full of surprises.

This is Smokey, LIVE in Altador. Until next time…

    You stay classy, Neopia.

  6. Here is my order from favorite to least favorite.

Normal Yooyu - No side effects are nice.

Snow Yooyu- Slowish, gotta charge it up a bit, not too bad.

Fire Yooyu- Shoots out of your hands at times, however it is quick.

Mutant Yooyu- Hardly ever takes more then 2 shots to get it in. No big deal.

Clockwork Yooyu- Pretty much better get it in on your first run, or its gonna explode.

Darigan Yooyu- Completely random, no technique other than crossing your fingers.

Faerie Yooyu- HATRED! Now that you have to charge up your shots the Faerie Yooyu is either too strong or too weak! Why does it have to be this way!?

With this year’s Altador Cup already into its first few days, fans around the globe wait patiently to see how their team will perform each day. Despite her busy schedule, The Daily Neopets was able to land an interview with Kreludor’s team captain, Derlyn Fonnet. This team captain managed to lead Kreludor to a stellar second place in last year’s tournament. In our exclusive interview Fonnet opens up about Kreludor’s past, present, and future.

Ladies and gentlemen, I have the pleasure to be in the presence of the gorgeous Derlyn Fonnet. Would that happen to be Mrs. Fonnet or perhaps Ms. Fonnet?

Fonnet: Uhm… is that a serious question?

Absolutely, I’m sure that I am not the only individual to ponder such a thought.

Fonnet: Right, Ms. Fonnet will do… and what exactly does this have to do with the Altador Cup?

Oh, yeah, the Altador Cup! What about it?

Fonnet: Well, it has just started… aren’t you supposed to be interviewing me?

It’s my pleasure. I mean yes! Yes of course, on with the interview!

    Fonnet: …

Ms. Fonnet, the proof is in the pudding. Kreludor has had two consecutive finishes in the top tier. What is the secret behind the team’s success?

Fonnet: Well, I suppose it’s not just one thing. Perhaps a combination of many different variables that come together to form the perfect unit on the court. Although I would have to say that passing, and speed are our primary strengths.

Two years in a row in the top tier and still no gold for Kreludor. How is team morale heading into this year’s competition?

Fonnet: Morale has never been better. You would think that a team who has had two shots at the gold would be starting to lose momentum. Not us, we have the best fans in all of Neopia. Negativity leads to defeat, and defeat is not an option.

I think it’s fair to say that it takes a strong team to gain victory, but an even stronger team to accept defeat. How does team Kreludor remain composed in the face of defeat?

Fonnet: We don’t allow ourselves to sit around and stew upon our woes. Instead we take to the nearest court and work on our weaknesses. For example, our left forward, Qlydae Wegg, has an issue with concentration. The other day we gave him a copy of the Neopian Dictionary and forced him to read it while sitting next to three Spyders. He is terrified of Spyders.

So am I… Anyways, with competition having already started what would you say is Kreludor’s strategy this year?

Fonnet: Without revealing too much, I would say that playing to our strengths will be crucial this year. We have always been successful at moving the ball around and catching our opponents off guard. The ability of surprise should never be underestimated. If we can maintain that same element of surprise going forward then you may as well hand over the gold now.

How do you think Kreludor will fair in this years competition?

Fonnet: Lets be honest, the competition is stiff this year. There are several different teams who have the potential to give us a run for our money. However, if we can implement the changes we have been working on properly, no team will be able to stand between the cup and team Kreludor.

    Changes?

Fonnet: Yes, changes. As team captain I am a firm believer that change is only good if it makes things better. Our changes are not in might or agility, but rather in trust and ambition. We have never wanted the cup more than we do now.

Wonderful, I appreciate your time. Speaking of which, I was wondering if you had plans later toni-

Fonnet: That will do! Now if you will excuse me!

Well you heard it here first folks. Ms. Fonnet is single! Uh, I mean single as in Kreludor’s only team captain! Oh well… I am sure that Kreludor will be one to watch this season as always.

  8. I'm actually really annoyed that people are complaining. The new game redefines pros and if you can't stand the new game, then you don't HAVE to play it. Threatening to quit doesn't affect neopets at all, it only worsens your own team. You should have enough dedication to support your team no matter what.

Plus, it's actually challenging now, unlike the previous game which was grab and score every time.

Have to agree with Noog on this one as well. Much more challenging, and I personally get more out of it. :king:

  9. Yeah, I received that response in Email form after sending in a ticket. Supposedly they are working on some updates for the new YYB. However, i doubt a mouse control option will be among the updates. I am actually enjoying the new YYB, but there are several annoyances. The keeper is useless, auto-switch is very annoying, the opposing team is way too good at stealing, and each game takes me 5 minutes. Hopefully some of these issues will be addressed in the updates.

  10. Without a doubt, MTV Skins.

I really only watch shows that address real-life issues for our generation. Shows that bring up real-life topics that many are afraid to discuss, like drug abuse, STD's, depression, etc. It's these kind of shows that really make me think about my actions and what I can do around me to help others through their teen years.

  11. I know how hokie this may sound, but really my greatest fear is being alone... Like never finding the girl for me. I guess in a way I have sort of a bad taste in my mouth from my prior experiences with girlfriends that Ive had. So yeah, that'd be my fear. :guiltysmiley:

  12. "Who's Going Home With You Tonight" by Trapt

Fun Fact: I actually have a tattoo of a piece of one of their songs called "Black Rose" on the side of my Upper Torso. It reads:

    "Only through the pain,

I could find a way to learn."

Awesome band, got me through some rough times. :)
