I won 32:10 today, which was a nice change from my luck lately. Also, I won a game of "Food Club Survivor" on the Games Board, so that was fun.

Hugo's are pretty good, I think. Interesting to see what Gooblah does today, he's at 6:1. I've never seen him with such bad odds. I bet on him anyway, but only with about half my bets.

So how do I change my language so that my pet will eat an item he doesn't like? It may be simple, but I can't figure it out.

 

Also, if the item is a Neopets word, is it actually going to change in translation, or am I stuck?

That's how I started doing it. I'd write down what the guide said, and then wrote down what I would do differently, then see who was right.

I made a Gooblah safety, but I never counted on Peg Leg to be in it at all.

 

Carmichael, no one knows for sure which factors have the most weight in determining winners, but two items that seem to factor are a pirate's strength, and his food adjustment, which is his Favorites minus his Allergies. So if, for example, Gooblah's got 3 meat dishes in a round, and 1 slushie, his F.A. would be +2.

 

EDIT: Can't sleep so here's a bit of a breakdown for 4 of the bets I follow:

 

Goob and Buck for the most part. SEO stands for Sir Edmund Ogletree.

Similar to Tracey, but instead of leaving Scurvy Dan out, she multiplies him by SEO and Fran, and still manages to get the Tailhook safety, and one with PegLeg too. Squire Venable covers another upset by a 13:1. You could switch it for Sproggie/Buck, I think. Her rating is Medium-safe, and I'd agree.

Gooblah all the way again. Nice stacking bets, if you are sure about the Goob-man and Buck winning.

 

So Christie is safest, followed by Tracey. Hugo's good if you think Gooblah and Buck can pull it off, Lukas is an alternative if you like Gooblah, but want some safety on Buck.

I'm a little nervous about today's match. I 10-bet Federismo, and 9-bet Gooblah, and now I'm thinking there'll be a major upset or something in those arenas. If not, I think I'll win a tidy pile, but I've got to win those two arenas.

12:10 here. Looks like Goob and Fed for tomorrow's bets. I haven't examined the guides yet for a recommendation. I'll edit this post, or post a new one, when I do.

 

EDIT: As of right now, I'm going to recommend Tracey/Jamila's bets for tomorrow. Hugo's are good too, but a little outdated now that the odds have changed.

I had a nice win, 32:10. Would have been more, except I changed my Stuff bet at the last minute. Arrgh.

 

Today, I'd say Tracey/Jamila looks safe, and Hugo/Malvoliow looks good too. Go Gooblah and Dan!

Yeah, everyone I follow either isn't betting, or is recommending against betting. I bet, but then I'm stupid like that. If I win, it won't be much.

Well, I changed my mind and decided to bet, cuz I'm kamikaze like that. We'll see how well I do.

I'm really hating snow right now. It's my own fault, I guess. I've been stalling and stalling on raking the roof and shoveling the deck, and now I *have* to do it, because the realtor's coming on Sunday with people wanting to see the house, and we're expecting more snow tomorrow. What I'm trying to shovel is waist-high snow, with an ice crust about halfway down. Ack. I'm all sweaty just from raking the porch roof.
