  1. Happy ending! :)

A week after I did this most recent round of bugging, the Neopets Facebook page replied to me, saying,

Hi [name]. We sent your account info to our team for further review, and to check on the status of your original ticket. Due to the volume of requests that have come in as we've opened our inbox as a new avenue for support, it does take some time to process each request; however, we will update you as soon as possible. Thank you!

Today, less than a week after that, my account was unfrozen in response to my original ticket! Yippee!

More than 10 million NP gone, but my pets and account are here, and that's what I really cared about. I've gone from very disappointed in TNT's response to very happy, so all's well that ends well!

Thanks to those of you who encouraged me to ask again and suggested the Facebook page. I'm sure that this was the turning point in the whole process.

  2. Thanks for your reply. I messaged them on Facebook, sent a new ticket under "Complaints" telling them to look at my old ticket, and for good measure wrote the same polite complaint as "Additional Information" on my original ticket.

I remember reading warnings that getting accounts back could take a long time, but at some point I assume this isn't normal anymore. :)

I'll keep y'all posted. Other suggestions are still appreciated!

EDIT: I also didn't realize that there was a transition until you mentioned one and I Googled it. I've been away too long to know whether that's been good or bad or neutral for the site, but I loved Math Blaster and other JumpStart games! XD

SECOND EDIT: Or did you mean a server transition? Eh...I've clearly been away too long. Let's hope I get my account back and can change that!

  3. More than a year ago, my treasured main account was frozen "for the owner's protection". I created a thread here asking about it (http://www.tdnforums.com/index.php?/topic/39571-account-frozen-for-my-protection-how-do-i-submit-a-ticket/) and one answerer mentioned that she got her account back very quickly in a similar situation. Well, I submitted my ticket on 12/29/13, so it's been over a year, and my ticket is still marked as "Open". I see no reason for this, since I provided tons of information and even screenshots (I used to run a screenie page), and supposedly the account was frozen for my protection. :/ It seems ridiculous that my ticket would be unlooked at after a year.

Is my experience normal? Are there any ways to bump this ticket up? Or are there any alternative ways of contacting TNT or individual team members to ask them to take a look at my case?

Honestly, even if millions of NP and all my items are gone, I just want my pets back, and I can see that they're still there when I try to log in. Them, and the memories of my account, are all I want. I would appreciate any suggestions.

  4. Hello!

I avidly played Neopets for a long time but haven't logged on very often in the past few years. I would usually only log on about once per month to put my pets in the NeoLodge (basically, when I got an email reminder that they had left the NeoLodge). However, my brother joked to me today that I should claim my Advent Calendar prize, and when I logged in, I found...

This account has been FROZEN for the following reason:

Due to potentially suspicious activity on this username, it has been frozen for the owner's protection. This can include falling for a scam or entering information into a fake login page. If you would like information on getting this account back, please contact us by clicking here.

I have literally no idea what could have happened. The last time I logged in was in early September, and I don't recall doing anything unusual - NeoLodge, perhaps a few games and dailies, and so on. I've always been a very responsible player and cautious of my account, so this is absolutely stunning.

I'd like my account back, though, since I've put a lot of hard work into it and do use it on occasion. Since it was frozen for my "protection", I feel like I should be able to get it back if I'm patient enough. However, when I follow either of the two links in the frozen message, it takes me to Neopet's new(ish) help application. If I try to click "Submit a Ticket", it asks me to log in - and I obviously can't do that right now! I have a side account that I still have access to, but would it look suspicious to submit a ticket about one account from another? Surely there's a better way.

One of the help topics says:

If I am unable to log into my account, how will I view and respond to my ticket?

You don't need to access your account to receive updates about your ticket or to submit a response.

When your ticket is answered or updated you will receive an email with the response that you can read and review. If you would like to respond to this ticket you only need to click "reply" to the email that you were sent.

In short, you can receive and send replies to your ticket through your email without ever visiting the Neopets website or Help Centre. If you cannot access your account, don't worry! You won't miss out on any replies to your tickets.

I have no idea what it means by this, though, since I can't figure out how to submit a ticket in the first place without being logged in.

    Can you guys help?

    Thank you so much!

  5. I've been looking to begin betting at the Food Club, and I want to start by copying somebody else's bets to get experience before I risk making my own. How is it possible to tell which players are the best or most reliable?

  6. I finally got all of my Furies! I might have fought more, but I'm sympathetic to all of those people who still need them. It's such a pain waiting for the Minions and Brutes to be beaten before more of them appear, so I'm trying to fight those instead.

  7. Personally, I heard that it was the Portuguese FAQ, not Spanish. <_<

But either way, I'm so excited!!! I hope that it's a good plot this time, not like Atlas of the Ancients was. I mean, come on TNT - a GREAT plot would go a long way in making people love you again (because you have kind of been losing our faith recently), and this seems like it has so much potential. *super excited* :)

  8. They were! That's what they looked like. I just wished they hadn't bounced like that. It was too hard to focus. I kept having to stop from laughing.

And some of the tails? So distracting. xD

Hi Brain.... Welcome! Hope you enjoy the forums. I am so far (newbie too).

Hello to you too! My introduction board is/was no longer on the first page, so I believe that means I'm legit now, right? xD

  9. I got a video into Neovision back when that existed, and I got so many random Neofriend requests from that. :/

Anyways, usually if somebody requests to be my NF and I don't recognize the username, I Neo-mail them to see if I can figure it out. Usually it's somebody I know or their side account or something, but sometimes it truly is somebody random. In these cases, I talk to them for a while, and if we have a good conversation I usually accept. After that, there's a pretty good chance that we'll never talk again. :worried: The main reason I don't accept completely random requests is because space on my stalker bar is limited, and I want to be able to see when my actual friends are on, not just some stranger. :laughingsmiley:

  10. I've been on Neopets for 6+ years now, and I was one of the people who hated everything about the new Neopets when it first came out (except for that giant blinking Meepit in the news! xD). I didn't like the new layout, customization, the NC Mall, or anything, really. Now? I've made my peace with the layout, and in some cases it's even better at getting me to where I want to go. Customization is fun. I don't spent a lot of NP on my pets' clothes and I never buy NC, but I still get cute stuff from the Advent Calendar, site events, and the Shop Wizard if I really want it. I can even live with the Mall - I'll never buy anything from it, but I understand that TNT/Viacom needs to make a buck. In short, Neopets was pretty cool back then and it's pretty cool now. Both old and new have been extremely capable of addicting me to the site for hours on end. () I do like the suggestion of being able to choose between UC and customizable pets, but TNT's made it pretty clear that that probably won't happen. Anyways, sure, I don't like all of the changes that have been made over time, but I still wouldn't want to revert back to how it used to be. :)

  11. It was a really fun experience. I'm glad I picked Maraqua. And Maraqua will be the only team I play for from now on.

I never knew much about the AC, so I didn't know what to really expect with each team. But it was great.

Though I have to say, it was distracting playing YYB against Kiko Lake. The way the Kikos bounced on the field was really distracting. :laughingsmiley:

Glad to hear it! ^_^ Did you ever come on the WAM boards?

Oh, gosh, yes. They were like little M&Ms.

  12. I've been on a roll these past few days!

    lenny_plushie.gif

First the Lenny Conundrum avatar, which I wasn't expecting to win at all.

    gadsgadsgame.gif

Next, Gadgadsgame, which was surprisingly easy.

    florg.gif

And finally, Feed Florg, which I've been trying to get for more than a month now! I just got it this morning, barely scraping a score of 250, and I'm SO happy. :laughingsmiley:

  13. My fingers do that sometimes. They go on auto-type. I often end up with words out of nowhere. :laughingsmiley:

I wanted to make 20, but I couldn't do it. I got burnt out, and my arm hurt too much. But it was fun. I can't wait until next year.

Yeah, I love the team spirit of the Altador Cup. It's really fun to be working so hard towards a common goal, especially when the team's pretty successful like Maraqua was this year. :)

Very few things in the world beat staying up until midnight my time to get results, only to find that we've beaten a team that we were the underdogs against. :laughingsmiley:
