  1. Those were some great pics listed above, but I think that tnt noticed that the globe map and the journal map was somewhat out-of-sync, and have modified the journal.

When I completed the latest step, my journal map updated and looks different than the "future" journal pages you have posted on the site.

I'm posting it here as a comparison so you can see that the new journal more closely matches the globe map.

I think that the globe is still a little off, you kinda need to rotate the book slightly counter-clockwise so that the river and swamp will match up in the future updates, but it looks closer than the previous future map images.

Does anyone else have the same journal map I have? or is the map another "unique" element of our individual adventures?

  2. Frankly, if there was any way for me to submit my codes right now, just to show that I put in the effort, I would just forfit the chia fight, because it is just not worth any more of my time.

But since there is no way to submit till AFTER the chia, I am at a "all or nothing" decision, and I am greatly tempted to just leave.

It was fun and chalenging up to the chia, but this part was just terribly poorly thought out.

I was never doing this for the prizes, all it would be is "yet another item gathering dust in my SDB", I was doing this for the chalenge and the personal satisfaction on completing a difficult puzzle, but I have lost all desire to complete this.

I have enjoyed socializing with all of you, and do not want to leave this way, but I am so disgruntled that I do not think I can stand to look at this site again any time soon.

Good luck everyone, I wish you the best, and remember to have fun.

  3. Is Sam even still online?? because I would like some answers nailed down because this is just rediculous.

I can understand making it hard, but he has been asked several questions directly several times and has completely ignored them, and having those questions answers would have saved dozzens of people hours of time.

Im sorry to sound brash, but although a chalenge can be fun and all, the rewards cant be that great that I have sacrificed my entire weekend to this and all for naught, and I am frankly fed up with it.

I have a family that I would like to spend time with, and better things to do than stare at a silly chia clown for hours upon hours, and then find out that one of the assumptions that we had made, and had even asked about, was wrong so all that time was wasted.

Flat out, is this order correct?

    move 1) animated gif clue

    move 2) battledome clue

move 3) gypsy camp clue (this one actually said it was move 3)

    move 4) graveyard clue

    move 5) --

move 6) petpet shop clue (and this one was given)

    move 7) --

    move 8) --

    move 9) --

because if the above assumption is not correct, then there are ALOT more combinations remaining the the roughly six hundred that everyone was thinking. because although we know moves, we do not know their correct positions.

We really need some help, because it is not fun to just taunt us. This is supposed to be fun for US, your site visitors, your "customers", not just fun for you to sit there and watch us squirm like a worm on a hook.

  4. So to sum up so far:

    Our Clues!

Clue 1: Only hint not in TDN plot area (Not in Sam's POSTS)

Clue 2: Somewhere we haven't been in the plot before, Fight for this hint and READ CAREFULLY

Clue 3: Such a sad story for this hint! Find it and you may not disappear from the running (like a pink Elephante).

Clue 4: You've been through here before, and if you can't find you're dying anyway...It was the wrong one to look at before but now it's right. Make sure you read!

Clue 5: Refers to ACTION 6, action 5 is skipped...refresh yourself and find a companion...Sometimes they restock randomly and sometimes give out hints.

I hope these are okay...

I have to say, this is a VERY great list of our clues.

provide just enough information to find the clues but still provide the *slap forehead* factor when you finally figure it out.

I think Sam should post this on the public boards for everyone to have access to once this board closes.

    b)

  5. Can anyone confirm/deny that we will need to use all five options? If so that will narrow it down a bit more...

And Angel, it took me a few minutes too, you just gotta keep being patient lol. That is the ultimate lesson that Samuel is trying to teach us! XD

I doubt that they would give that bit of info away.

Oh, and grats on 30 posts.

  6. I'm just about * refreshed * out ...been refreshing...and nothing yet.* sigh *......hmmmm
Are you refreshing at the shop? just like you did when you were trying to get the Meepit back in part4(?).

So you are refreshing at the actual storefront. Eventually the "we are sold out" text at the bottom will be replaced by a text clue.

  7. Have you thought about sharing yet? :laughingsmiley: I don't even know HOW to do a spreadsheet!

I'm afraid my spreadsheet would not really be that useful for other people, I really just used it to generate all the different combinations, which I then printed out and using as a checklist infront of me to fight the chia.

None of my actual attempts are indicated on the sheet other than a bunch of checks on the paper copy infront of me... :(

  8. yeah, i figured 5 clues would be enough, cuts the possible down to 625, and a 1/625 chance of guessing the right combo is very reasonable, even 6 clues would be only 125... oh well, at least after all the clues are out, almost everyone participating will be able to solve it... now i guess it is a race for the top 10 spots. ;-)

  9. ok no one answered me before, was it decided if the first hint released, or the one labeled "hint #1" was actully the first step?

we never actually got any reply about that....

I think we are going to have to assume they are in the order the clues were released.

    1) dog clue

    2) battledome

    3) gypsy

    4) grave

unless someone (*pokes Sam*) tells us differently to save us from checking thousands of unnecessary combos again.
