  1. I tend to like realistic stories more than fiction, so I'd go with [RESTRICTED] No Girls Allowed. ^^

But Holier Then Thou was great. c:

When is the next chapter for [RESTRICTED] No Girls Allowed coming out? O:

lol i just posted it right now :D hope u enjoy it :laughingsmiley:

  2. Ohh. You're Beautiful is a great drama. ^^ I loved it!

Now that I think about it, [RESTRICTED] No Girls Allowed

and You're Beautiful are a bit similar. :3

By the way, Holier Then Thou was great. >w<

yeah, but i am trying to make it as different as possible right now, and holier than thou has been this fantasy that i have always had, so i just needed to put it to use and get it out of my system, i'm glad u like it, but i always wonder, which story do you like more?

  3. But you know, to be in line with using disease as a metaphor, I personally feel that the Neopet Fever has a very high relapse rate. I keep getting it every few years... It's like getting shingles. You get chickenpox, get better, and you believe that it's gone forever. But in reality... :[

lol thats so true, but somehow that doesn't apply to my brothers, they used to play as much as me, but now they've found their shooting games and etc on PS3 and online that takes a lot more of their time, i guess it all has to do with the fact that you find something to do with your free time, as long as you have one addiction, its easy to overlook other ones

  4. I also get frustrated with the idea of "proper" vampires because most people's idea of a "proper" vampire isn't even the traditional, ancient view (which was more like bloated, ugly banshees). If the idea of vampires (as well as werewolves, banshees, etc.) didn't change and evolve then we would be missing out on so many amazing pieces of horror fiction--including, yes, Dracula, as well as Nosferatu and other "proper", iconic vampires. And while I hardly think "Twilight" is high-brow literature, I can't fault Meyer for playing with the idea of what vampires should be like. Is the sparkling thing stupid? Yes, but it's just as rooted in traditional vampire concepts as anything. Vampires don't go out in the day: Why? Their skin sparkles giving them away. It's daft, but I can't fault her for trying to create a new way to interpret an old myth.

That being said, I do think Young Adult publishers need to lay off the vampire romance genres, but I can't fathom the idea of no new vampire literature under general horror. There's too many good stories being published for adults, at the very least. Granted, they don't get the hype of YA vampire series, but they're there and those of us who are avid horror enthusiasts like them, and wouldn't want them to go away any time soon.

If anything I would love if the horror section of my local bookstore had more vampires (or more ANYTHING) and less Stephen King and Dean Koontz, who populate half of the already-small shelving sections.

i get your take on this whole thing, but due to Twilight, vampires have been given a makeover and many teens are perceiving them to be something that is completely different from their original style. The whole vampire fantasy has become every teens (well, i am generalizing, but from what i have seen in schools its not over blown) knight in shining armor. Which is really gross to me because vampires were never knights in shinning armor. Nor someone you'd want to grow up and marry. Sure you can fantasize about them, but...he whole vamp phase taking over right now it a bit overblown for my taste...

  5. I love RESTRICTED] No Girls Allowed :D It reminds me of she's the man :P

lol i wasn't even thinking of she's the man when i wrote the story, i had recently watched a korean drama called 'you're beautiful' and thats where i got the idea from :laughingsmiley:

  6. I've been playing since July 2006! I didn't get my first computer until that summer so I finally made my first neopets account "jackie_3_3_3" and been on every since ^^

I didn't really play a lot in the beginning...but after coming back, I've been on almost every single day! I think it was about a year ago that I didn't get on for months and came back only to send my pets at the neolodge.

All my friends knew I was (and still) a child at heart so they didn't make fun of me for having a neopets account :) Heck, my fiance even made one! =D we both have shields that say we love each other ^///^ His is a black shield though.

that's actually really cute :wub_anim: and supportive of him. I got one of my friends on it, but she doesn't play anymore, she played for a week before she just left it...

  7. I didn't think Avatar was bad, don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it. But the hype is just a little too much. It's nowhere near to be 'the best movie ever' in my opinion. It just bugs me because people make it great, but if you step aside, it really isn't TOO special. (and I'm not saying Titanic is).

But I guess sci-fi isn't really my thing either, so that migt influence my opinion as well ;p

i get where your coming from, but the thing is, i never go out to watch movies or anything because so many other people have watched it or anything, i usually am a hard critic for movies and never say that i loved a movie, but after i wathed avatar, all i could think was, that was an awesome movie. It wasn't because of media and public, but my personal opinion, somehow, the movie leaves you wanting more, more of the fantasy world, more of the awesome graphics and more of the story... that in my opinion is what's really awesome about it, compared to titanic, which had a definite ending, this one is incomplete if you know what i mean?

  8. My peeve with vampires is the Twilight hype. I have been told by about 50 girls from my school "Oh, you should read the Twilight series, it's soooo great!" No. I'm sorry. It's not. It's not even about vampires. It's about teenagers who don't grow up mentally or physically who spend their time rolling around in sparkle-dust. Those aren't vampires, they're glampires. Vampires are supposed to terrify you and melt in the sunlight (or go poof or whatever it is that they do.) No, there have been some things come out with ACTUAL vampire premises, but they only came out due to the Twilight craze, and I, for one, refuse to participate. It's just a thing with me. Give me Dracula - terrifying, evil, bloodthirsty. Not a vegetarian sparklepire.

lol same here, i haven't read any of the books or the movies, i picked up the first book cause my friend was forcing me, and read a random page, it turned out to be too lame for me to read, it was about bella not being able to concentrate on her computer because she couldn't stop thinking about edwan, or whatever his name is and how hot/sexy his eyes look/his body and what not. Totally not my type of book... <_<

I have grown to hate vampires for the most part. Twilight, Vampire Diaries etc. have made everything involving vampires into love stories.

I know this is a bit off topic, but it's funny. At my school, all the Twilight super fans are guys xD

are you kidding me? all the fans r guy? haha, thats too funny :laughingsmiley:

  9. I agree with Domino. I love "All Boys School Survival guide" AKA "[RESTRICTED] No Girls Allowed."

I'm looking forward to the next chapter. ^^

thx, have u read holier then thou, it's newer, but the writing style is completely different (it's more me...) if yo do, let me know what you think?

  10. Probably because the idea of virtual pet sites in general seems juvenile to people of that age. Plus, Neo is closely affiliated with Nickelodeon, which is a kid's channel. I just play Neo on my laptop, in my room. I'm supposed to have three roommates, but I only have two, since my old one moved out, so I have an entire room to myself. I just chill here and play Neo, and nobody ever knows, except for whoever is tracking our Internet activity. :P

Anyway, I started playing when I was 10, about 7-8 years ago, but I got bored sometime after the first Meridell war and took a break for about two years. I returned under a new account to start fresh, and I stayed for quite awhile, probably until the Tale of Woe plot ended. Then, I left for another. . . two years, I think. We were doing a probability unit in my math class, which reminded me of Neo, so I started fresh again! But that only lasted a month or so. And now, I'm back under yet another new account, and I've been hooked for nearly a year now.

i love how people keep going on and off, but i think i like sticking to one account, my really old account is lost to me because i forgot the password and the email i used for it, so i came back a year ago and started playing again, but now the whole thing is waning...

  11. I saw Avatar for the third time today. XD There really is nothing new in it; the Na'vi are pretty cool, as is the way the planet works and the language, but the story and characters are more predictable than any other movie I've seen. It's a whole lot of fun to watch because it gives you exactly what you want, though. Romance? Got it! Giant robots? TONS of them. Inspirational speeches about environmentalism and THEY CAN TAKE OUR LAND, BUT THEY WILL NEVER TAKE OUR FREEDOM? In spades. It's so, so pretty to look at, too; it's the kind of movie where you enjoy just turning your brain off and letting it go.

Also, Quaritch is amazing. It is difficult to describe how awesome he is without expletives, so we'll just say that he's an excellent villain.

i agree with what you said about tuning out your brain and just enjoying the movie, its a type of movie you can watch over and over again

  12. I've always loved vampires, and I still do.

But the type I like are nothing like what's "everywhere" today. I love the idea of the CLASSIC vampires, y'know... how they used to be before all of this.

I absolutely despise the concept that vampires sparkle in the sun rather than burst into flames or something.

I went to see Daybreakers sometime last week. And, although it's not the best film I've seen, it's amazing to see PROPER vampires again.

But all this popularity has just put me off :(

hi, don't know if you've watched the anime Hellsing, but the vampire in it is called Alucard, (it's dracula spelled backwards...) anywho, thats some real vampire! All that i think of when i picture a vampire if Alucard, NOT Edwards, i mean i think he's handsome, so are a million other guys...

  13. Ohmigoodness. "All Boys School Survival guide" for girls AKA "[RESTRICTED] No Girls Allowed" is AMAZING. I absolutely love it. I definetly just read the whole thing in the last hour. Please keep writing. :D, it was....i have no words.

aww thx, i really appreciate you reading it, i am going to write the next chap tmw, so i hope u enjoy it, i think ur the one who left the comment about joining wattpad because of my story, that made my day :*

  14. i checked your pet out, and your right, they match perfectly, i wouldn't zap the petpet again, but it's your choice if you decide to zap the pet then i guess the petpet will not match anymore

  15. lol, me too, i've always wondered when i saw ppl wearing uggs in summer, to me they're being too shabby with such concerns over style, it would be too hot having all that fur on your feet when the temp's 20+ <_<

anywho, i don't know why, but i like Emu's more... :guiltysmiley:

  16. the stupidest thing i thought of when i was a kid was that what happened in tv is real, i would be watching some next fantasy movie and think that if i broke the screen i would be able to go into the set and experience it live...

i know...crazy, and this was when i was almost 8 years old

  17. I was just wondering what people think of the vampire rage that's taken over the Harry Potter fever.

I used to love vampires in my early teens, i am still fascinated by the whole blood sucker concept and am interested in the whole fantasy aspect of it...BUT, i think it's being too hyped and given wayyy too much media coverage. Everywhere i turn i find a vampire, so now i'm just annoyed of them.

    What about you guys?

Anyone else had enough of vampires?

Or are you still in the their thrall?

And what galls me most of all is that even though i am not liking too many vampires at the moment, i still want to go see Daybreakers?!

(although i still haven't seen/read the Twilight series...to me its more Faerie like then the type of gruesomeness i attach to vampires, i mean, if you've watched the anime hellsing, u know what i'm talking about...Alucard is the only vamp i've ever obsessed over, and even that was 6 years ago :evo:

  18. Actually, I thought the 3D was a pretty cool effect, and where I saw it, it was only $2 more than the price of a normal ticket. The 3D added depth to the picture screen, not really where they popped out at you (personally, I think that would've been annoying), but more of that diorama effect. It was actually a bit weird at first, but then once you got used to it it was pretty good.

Oh, and it's cooler when you get to keep the glasses :D

all my friends (i went with a group of 8 ppl) left their glasses with me, now i have a lifetime supply of 3d glasses ...

too bad they make u pay each time for new ones (it's included in the price for the movie >.<)

  19. omg, i love the zombie kacheek, it looks like an old man who;s been sitting in the water for too long, and the tattered shirt just adds the extra ooph to the whole image, now i wish i had a kacheek to paint it zombie >.<
