Méav woke up with a jerk. Her hands were both clenched together as though she was holding on to dear life and her arm-hair were standing on ends. She took a deep breath and calmed her speeding heart.

"It was only a dream..."

The incident had happened ten summers ago. Yet Méav could still feel his lips moving across her own. She touched her lower lips tentatively, and softly moved her finger across them. I'm not a nine years old child anymore. He cannot do such things to me, and he never will. Not after today.
